I guess I must have somehow missed this one. Not sure why.
Anyway, it's wonderfully gentle stuff, as everyone has already noted.
Years ago, I had a plan to make a proper ambient album but I love groove and always find myself doing groove-based stuff rather than just pieces like this that sit perfectly and need no groove.
Brian Eno has already been mentioned so I will just tell you something I heard him say in an interview a few years ago.
He spoke of having the aim of creating music that was like a painting. So, it would just sit beautifully and never really go anywhere. That's what this is like.
It could go on for a whole album (or more).
One day I'll sit down and properly do something like this.
Actually, I do have one rather nice ambient/cinematic track on here with no drums that may well interest you. But it doesn't sit quite like this and it has some more obvious changes.
Ok, Nomad...I've already been there following your link (btw, thx for posting)and I left a comment there, so I won't type it here once again.
Anyways, thx alot for the positive feedback!
ah yes...this is the kind of musical trip that makes you set aside less important things and remember that you are on a short journey on this little beautiful planet filled with many wonderful things that are there to be found by those who can let the noise and darkness of the self-interested minority and political power players fall aside...I listened to this a while back Orlando, but didn`t have the chance to leave a few comments...superbly done...Ed
Thx alot Ed...I didn't know you've already checked it out, otherwise I wouldn't be bothering you. This piece of music will leave some memories for me in the sense how it has been done. I did the whole thing in one or two hours. It was an incredible experience. I did the complete lenght basic track in one single take, which is incredible. I just did some overdubs later on. In fact it was like uninterupted live session. It just happened that magical night when my emotions and my fingers on the keyboard were in perfect harmony. This just can't be repeated! It was one off experience.
Thanks again for your kindness...
Great...Outstanding.
Suberb instruments combination.
Like the intro. The "Church Piano", the guitar, the background voices.
Very nice. A little sand ambient with relaxing sound.
Hi...I almost forgot on this one, so this is a pleasant surprise.:) This was the first track I have ever uploaded here on LM and It was really well recepted.
Mate this is stunning piece of work, I am a massive fan of Ed, man is so talented, 2 brilliant artist together, always going to be a winner of a track, mate looking forward to hearing more of your works if this is a sample of whats on your profile, will be back that's for sure...massive fav here...Peace n much Respect to both of you guys...Mosaic....
I must say I'm really lucky to have the opportunity to collaborate with someone as talented as Ed. His talent is sheer inspiration to me. I hope we will do some more collabs in the future.
Thank you so much for the incredible feedback...we will meet again along the way...
This really is beautiful. While of course it's very peaceful, there is something about it, I can't put my finger on it, but it hit's a soft spot I guess you could say. I like it very much, thank you.
Really cool piece Orlando! The atmosphere that it creates is very relaxing. It would be perfect for a movie or video game. This one's a Fav. Nice work.
This is super mellow. Those pads sound heavenly and soothing.
This kind of music can really fix your head if you've been having a rough day.
I think you've just fixed mine.
This is a very intelligent and well put together piece of music.
Tranquil and then some.
Cheers for chilling me out.

Once again you have produced a track of quality, listened to this on this grotty wet UK Easter Sunday and you have swept all the gloom away with such a relaxing and sweet sound, this is ambient at its best. Everything is so well put together...AWESOME work Orlando.
Nice to see you on my page again.:)Yeah, I produced this piece exlusively with intention of helping British people to confront with nasty weather circumstances.^^ I'm glad hearing your report that it works...:) I will do my best to keep them coming...
Thx alot, my friend...wish you and your family happy Easter!
Yup, this works for me and fits in ambient. Meditation and relaxation music. Very light and airy, soothing. Spiv mentioned "new age" music, I think of that when I hear music like this. It's really well put together and mixed. Great job!
Orlando Wow now that was a journey I would love to stay on my friend as I feel so relaxed and what a floating feel it gave me, I didn't want to come back down to Earth.
Thank you for this wonderful work of art.
Faved and for sure I will be downloading too.
Reading your kind words, I just have to tell you the funny coincidence. Yesterday one of my friends who listened to the track said that this music doesn't belong to Earth and that it should be titled "Million Years After The Life On Earth Ended". I was laughing ofcourse, but any kind of generosity is always appreciated. I'm really happy when it made such an impression on you. Thank you alot for listening, posting a comment and also for giving it a 'fav' and download.:)
this track is better to listen before night time, just forget and throw away your everyday problems, say f.... off to your troubles and lay back and enjoy the mother of ambients! masterpiece!
I was imagining it as a night time experience, but even better when people can enjoy it through the different stages of the day. Music is always a subjective experience and thank god it is that way..:)Thanks alot for your kind words and see you soon along the way....
a beautifully balanced mixed, with rich sounds and melodic motion that come out so clearly. it is, like spivkurl says, a meditation, or a medication, and I am all for it. he has left his phase, you are entering, I have just discovered it! thanks for this beautiful piece.
Thanks to you, my friend, for this kind comment...this sort of appreciation keeps me in artistic motion and it's strong encouragment for the future...thank you for that!:)
Beautiful and sublime textured piece, would be my entry in the hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy to describe this work of art. Nice work my friend. To create emotions out of your Synths is an amazing feat!
Thx alot mate for this comment !:) Yeah, synths can be a great tool for crerating emotions when you choose carefully, otherwise violin or piano are very handy for the same purpose.
But I'm a synth man lately, so we will se what comes next..:)^^
Everything is designed here in an excellent manner.
You take us by the hand to lead us in your musical world .... It is a real pleasure to listen to you.
Quiet and majesty of harmonies.
Thank you to share this moment of great intensity ....
I think this is a proper moment to wish you a happy Easter and ofcourse to say thank you again for the kind words and for liking my music...yours is also on my favourite list, so I believe we will produce much more to enjoy and I'm looking forward to it...
hi again :)
i want to add this is nice just it sounds a bit monotonic like this only blend of some pads .
you may can add some piano or rhodes or especially lead guitar
to this .
ofcourse this is just my idea .
anyway thank you for these nice moments ..
Nice to have you back and I must say I really appreciate your opinion and recommendations. I'm aware of monotony but it's just a question of distinctive mood. You won't believe it...there is some piano and even electric guitar in the mix but very very underneath. When I put them to the fore it just doesn't work for the mood I created. Maybe I should try with some different arrangement, or even ask my friend Ed to help out...he is the one who knows how to deal with lead guitar more than anyone here on Looperman.:)
This is an interesting period in your artistic lifeline...I didn't know how to interpret your last song about 'The ring of Saturn' but this is a winner one...I think the 'bigger heads' than me could easily describe that, this as a classical ambient...nice use of those vsts and the whole track is just like we slowed down our life and stepped out from this chaos for 5 minutes...dreamy, moody, calm, relaxing artwork...
Hats off, hope all is well homie...at summer we go to that marvellous country for sure...we have the hotel booking...
:-) :-) .-)
Danke
It's beem quite some time since we last met via comment area.:)
Yeah. I'm in a period of distinctive mood. At the moment it quite suits me to create that sort of things. On the other I'm very busy lately, so I'm running out of time when I would like to create something more complex, or if I say so more to the point. So you can probably expect some more of that stuff in the near future. I just have enough time gaps to explore a bit more that kind of musical teritory.
"The Ring Of Saturn" was intentionaly and predominantly static sound design (it's how it was intended), so that's why probably didn't appeal to you. But this was something I expected. So I'm glad you appreciate this one a bit more since it's more relaxed and moody...thx for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you're coming to Slovenian coast this summer..woow!
For now everything is fine here and I hope it stays so...at least for this summer...^^
I think this was my first piece where I tried some violin music and to my surprise the feedback was great.
