Mate! Sounds like a bloody Aussie gobbing out slurs, and it has a great effect on the song. It also sounds very frantic as if the melody and rhythm are fast paced to juxtapose the capital theme of "taking all my time".

So plenty of underlying concepts embedded in this track which is why I love it.

It's not something I started to do purposely, but the 'slur' effect has definitely evolved slightly over time, and I guess it fits in well with the overall theme.

your song is unique (unfinished too) and the most important is that Everything works marvelously: vocals, melody, instruments, arrangments

And it definitely is a little unfinished, but I kind of like it that way sometimes. Usually these songs are just a scrap book of ideas, and hopefully I'll get round to bringing them up to spec one day.

Wow, wow, wow, absolutely brilliant ambiance in this and what awesome vocals and musical arrangement. Just a stunning piece of music. Can feel the pathos in every verse and chord progression. Love it!

I wasn't really sure about the genre either while listening but it does feel like pop music. Your tone and the music all suggest that to my ears. Love the reverb but wondering what kind of mic you used. Keep up the good work.

I think you're right, it does have a slight pop feel to it.

And the mic is just a cheap condenser mic that was bundled with the Scarlett solo, although I've used Izotope Nectar =- which I should put in the description to be fair.

I downloaded several tunes by Kevin Macload a few years back and really appreciate his vast understanding of music making. So i knew right away the music would be well done and hearing your emotional singing in other tracks I knew this would be cool to check out. The music is very dramatic and dark, you delivered some fitting vocals for the piece.

Good choice with cinematic, i think this would be awesome in a tremendously sad point of a movie, very emotional and dynamic.

Well done, my first listen of the day, kinda stirring.

I imagine it is not particularly easy to write a song to music that is already composed...must say your vocal delivery really fits the overall vibe of the musical composition...a bit dark & perhaps a touch of the majestic...powerful delivery...The music is really good/rich...but your vocal is the star mildperil....big round of applause from an old guy across the water....well done mate...Ed

I think half the battle is to find a track that feels right. I was in the process of writing a couple of other songs, but they both were hitting the ceiling, and then I stumbled across the instrumental for this one and it just seemed to work.

The title definitely fits the song. Your voice really reminds me of peter gabriel and I friggin love it man. Congrats on the track! Absolutely phenomenal. Mixing could be better at times but I can only see things getting better from here. Congrats man. Much love!

Maybe in the future when I move to a better suited place, have better equipment and hopefully have developed my vocals a little more, then I will consider releasing the vocal tracks. But until then...

Wicked performance. Perhaps use the harmony a bit more sparingly to accentuate certain phrases/lines..? The vocal performance is fat enough to carry the weight with less effects. It's just good. Well done, man.

You're right, and I was thinking that myself about the harmony, it is a bit overkill I guess. Maybe I'm just trying to make up for a lack of other factors, and it does also help to cover some of the background noise I've got going on.

Hi, I do have the track without any effects on it, but I'm not sure that I want to release it as it sounds absolutely awful.

A combination of cheap equipment, lots of background noise and poor acoustics in my room make it sound as flat as a pancake.

Some of the vocals are out of time though, so a beat might throw it off a little, but I've made it available to download.

Where have you been hiding that fab voice of yours mildperil...probably I just hadn`t caught up with enough of your tracks in the past...man, you have just the right amount of subtle gravel in the vox...and I particularly like the expressiveness you get in the delivery...it really sets you apart from the more usual canned stuff our radios play...Super job...enjoyed listening...big well done to you....Ed

Really pleased you enjoyed listening, as I love your music. I've never been a big fan of the usual canned radio stuff, so that is an extra compliment for me.

But I can't give enough credit to Denyjanuary who wrote the music in the first place, as without him, there would be no song.
