Onboard sound isnt a good way to go, should invest a few $ into an USB-Interface (M-Audio, Tascam). Before that u could try to use a driver called Asio4all (dunno if availabele for mac, but architecture is almost the same today, so should be a solution out there). Read installinstructions with care, takin no response 4 any of my hints ;) But have done it in the past, with several machines, and was always better, than the Standard Audiodrivers (try to find best settings for buffersize for yo sound).
Other problem could be some misconfiguration of yo midicontroller - seems like it sends a skip or stop signal, maybe. 1st i would disconnect it and restart ableton in order to check this out. Check the midiproperties of yo ableton, could be send/receive problem....
When u checked all this, pls give feedback, maybe we get it done :)
This is a really uplifting fusion of styles! I like those growling basses very much! The melodies are sweet! That's really strange about the skip, I've never really encountered that. Don't know how to help. All in all a really cool song! I would recommend you normalize the track, because it seems like you have some headroom to explore. I like it! Faved for sure!
Hey this is pretty phat! I was definitely surprised by the potency of the mix right from the start! As StaticNomad already stated, the dubby part sound really awesome! The dubstep parts were strong and creative! Definitely should extend this one a little. I like it much! Thanks for getting involved!
What soundcard u use? A bufferproblem? Does it happen with more tracks earlier? Check drivers...
Use any DAW controller? Could be the problem too?
Have Machines with Midi? Could be a transport signal....
Macbook Pro 8,2. Intel High Definition Audio (non-replaceable card as far as i know) .
Its happened once before with a track with many audio and midi tracks occupied.
I doubt its a buffer problem, i have 500gb SSD, ungraded graphics card, and 16gb RAM.
Not using any machines other than MIDI controller. No interfaces.
Ah, personally, I love self deprecation, but it elicits a predisposition that you will suck. You do not. I dislike most modern music, or music played without real strings and fingers I should say. This was an interesting listen because you broke it up with a few distractions. Thank you for uploading here, you are a good kitty again. Good Kitty.
Sounds like the Master is muted for half a beat, check the automation. if its not that check all others. it often happens to me, that i copy unwanted automation with some parts, i stored outside the mainloop, for example...
Well arranged...
I checked all automation, individual tracks and master. I seriously cant find it. I moved the entire arrangement forward like 20 bars and it still skips in the same part of the song. Its happened on other tracks to that have alot of separate tracks
Hi. Sorry to hear you see yourself as a failure though I don't know you so there's not much more I can say about that.
I'm generally not a fan of dubstep (though I am sort of making some right now) so please take that into account.
I liked the parts in this that weren't the obvious dubstep. So, start to 0:39 and then 1:07 to end. These sections have a cool , reggae-like groove (I guess you could say dub) that could do with a cool reggae vocal (the bits that are in there are good) though I'm less keen on the type of snare used.
Syncopated keyboards are also great.
Very farty bass in your dubstep sections. I also like the slightly dark and discordant sort of string stab heard eg on 1:08.
I hope that review wasn't too painful for you. Good luck with this.
If it was me, I would pretty much remove all the dubsteppery here and go with your cool dub vibe. But please do what feels right to you and only you.
