There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said, but this is a brilliant track. It's quirky and captivating. A great example of when an experiment goes right. Love it.
I love the arrangement in this track. You strip it back and throw it all back in at the right moments. The play between the vocals and the piano is what really makes the track so interesting. Definitely a favorite.
I really like this, It's got a very late-70's feel. As Oceanically mentioned, there's something of Bowie about it. You have a great voice as well by the way. It's very bright and clear. I would love to hear you do a ballad. I'll definitely be checking out more of your stuff.
What a great track. The bright, floaty piano melodies and that smooth bassline work so well together. The progression is simple, but the execution is very detailed and infectious. I can't really help you with genre, I think that the creator has the ultimate say in what their music should be represented as. The closest I can say is electronic pop, but that does your ingenuity an injustice. So we'll just label it under "awesome" and be done with it :P
I appreciate the kind words. This was definitely a song based off inspiration. I found those two loops and almost instantly found an awesome melody for it. The lyrics just flowed out so easily. It all happened so fast haha. Everything else just came together :3 Thanks for the listen!
I agree with SlotheProdigee. Don't cut the bass. The track has a great vibe going on and it's a shame to let it drop out. Other than that, it's brilliantly oppressive and sinister. Very nice work.
The breathing and the atmos are really well done. I like how the zombies come in from the left, giving you a sense of their approach. It's not easy to tell a story through sound without dialogue and you pulled it off nicely.
This is not a genre I usually go out of my way to listen to, but this really gripped me from the start. It builds so beautifully and changes with such fluidity it never falters. I especially love the soulful piano melody at the end. It leads the track out smoothly. The perfect come down track after a good night.
I like it. Reminds me a little bit of Atreyu (who I loved back in the day). I think your vocalist has definitely listened to them. It's a pretty solid production compared to a lot of homemade metal that I hear online all the time. If you could get some studio drumbeats and add some more intricate lead riffs, you could really take the sound to the next level. But for what you've created with tools you have. I'm impressed!
A great song and a very nice cover. I had to go fetch my fedora and a scotch and soda so I could feel badass whilst I listened to it. I probably didn't look like a badass, but I felt like one. So thanks for that!
This a really fun track, very bright. Your mixing and leveling is fine, especially for someone new to the game. My only issue is there's quite a lot going on here right off the bat. This is more a problem of arrangement rather than mixing. The track needs a little room to breathe, maybe build up a bit to it's full "shinyness"; if that makes sense? Either way, it's an impressive start. Keep working at it and I'm sure you'll be making some excellent songs.
I love the intricate guitar riffs and the way the bass and leads intertwine. The pianos really give the track it's own spin and take it away from the almost inevitable Tool comparisons. I like the breezy change in speed at around 3.30, But I'm not a fan of the piano melody. It really needs a hook to lift the section into greatness.
Considering how well you've managed most of the mixing and arranging, I personally feel that the fade-out is a bit of a cheat. Strip it back to that awesome bassline and just cut it it at the last note of the riff. That would tighten the whole thing up.
Even with these points, it's a great track and a joy to listen and bob your head to.
Woah! If this is what the track is like before the final mix, it's gonna be a real show stopper. That industrial thump is so infectious I just can't stop listening. If I wasn't too lazy to go out running, this would be on my playlist. I'll keep an eye out for the final version when it arrive. Good job man.
Love the opening to this track; It's really intriguing and unnerving. It's like a build up to a riot. I got goosebumps when the bass came in the second time after what sounds like orgasmic groans. The production is really great. The arrangement is very bare-bones in places, which makes the bass drops even more prevalent. Excellent work. Into the favorite room it goes...
This is the best kind of music; simple in theory, but beautifully executed. I wish I could get a guitar sampled half as good as that. You have my envy and admiration! May have a go at vocals tomorrow, just to explore the potential. Good work :)
Loving that harmonica, it won me over instantly. And the vocals work perfectly with the southern-gritty-blues vibe. Good work on the mix, there were places where the track could've easily fallen apart, but you kept it all coherent and fiendishly listenable. By coincidence, I found this tune goes well with a glass of Jim Beam. Great stuff:)
This is an incredibly chilled out track. I love the way that bass seems to breath in the background. I'm tempted to have a go at some vocals, but A) The track stands up fine without vocals and B) female vocals would probably suit this better. Either way, nice track man :)
Woah! There's an insane amount of control here. The highs and the lows work together fantastically. I love how you keep changing the samples, to keep everything progressive (like the piano leads and the "ay!"s). I'd say your hard work has paid off. Congrats man :)
Wow. I'm impressed at how you managed to juggle so many sounds and still keep it all sounding natural and not overcrowded. This had enough variety to keep all the voices in my head nicely occupied at once. Me likey.
My boss' first job after getting out of collage was with a road building crew. He was put near the end of a dead-end road and told to direct traffic. He saw two cars that day. His boss, and his mom, who brought him lunch.
Standing there the whole day, with no traffic to control, he picked up three rocks and taught himself to juggle. Right there. He just turned 65 and can still keep it going for a good 10 seconds. One day with spare time and you can pick up a "skill" pretty easy. I did hacky-sack. Destroyed my knees. Fun, but evil.
This is definitely a weekend tune. The perfect pick-me-up after a crap week. The mix is fine, you might add a chain compressor on the drums for a bit more punch. But that's if you feel it needs it. I'm quite happy with the way it is :)

I know what you mean. I'm not much of a hooker. More into leading and complimenting melodies layered and working together.

I'll go into the project and give that a try. I've not had much luck with that I've tried so far.
Thanks for the encouragement and the feedback.
