First off, I don't know Hip Hop from a Candy shop, but I know what I like and I like this. There's a great almost RnB vibe running through this! Great job.
I love this song and you did it proud. You have a really strong voice, but you need to learn how to control it and that just comes with practice.
There's a thing called tone deaf, where your voice sounds great to you, but not to everyone else. You DON'T have that, but your voice does go flat in places, so work on those places.
Take in the criticism, listen to it or don't, but never, never let it bring you down and never, never, stop what you are doing. You have a great talent.
I agree. The issue of me going flat will improve with control which takes time.
I don't have a problem with criticism as I find that even the harshest critics bring something to learn (however minuscule).I do appreciate how I can tell through text that you wanted to give me helpful advice without offending me. :)
If this is rap man, then you just turned the whole thing up on it's head!! Really, really clever use of sound clips with a kick ass beat. Man you are something special!! Love this bro.
guess its rap cuz of Howard Deans rappin flow, simple ol skoolish type of beat, kinda breakish, but slower, so rap it is. Am a fan of tech rap, Miami boom bass shiz, Missy and Ludacris as well. Yeah am bit of a looney tune, anything but normal :)
I know what you mean about getting to the "boredom threshold"!! when I get there, I usually try and find something different to add another trick to it.
This is a really nice track, full of warmth and love. Yes the vocals are off in places, but that can be fixed. You need to run through it a couple of times, before you record the vocals. Then get one track down. If you don't like it, but the timing is good, keep it, mute it and record it again.
Sheeeet that almost sounded like I know what I'm talking about!!
You have a beautiful voice and there are only a couple of timing issues and a few flat spots. The good thing is that you know exactly where they are, so well done for that. You have a real talent, thanks for sharing it.
*sigh* yes... I know about them ;) I had previously updated the vocals to fix some of the more noticeable parts, but while in the process of fixing... I actually preferred some of the "off" notes, so i kept them. And if we are going to get technical about music.. why do they have to be flat? We are so use to hearing music that goes by the strict guidelines of acceptable/ appealing notes... but what about ever tone in-between? I think they deserve some love too. :P
But who knows, I may wake up tomorrow, listen again and want to change something... because it happens with every single piece... never exactly what I'm going for.
Thanks Darkreine I appreciate that. I read your profile page which I thought was very interesting. I will be stopping back by to check out some of your tracks.
Hi man, had a similar experience myself, so I know that burying yourself in something can help for a while. Really sorry for your loss Rich. This is true Topvega style - excellent. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Chris, you just start getting into this, lie back, put your feet up, close your eyes, then it's gone.
Really great piece of music man, really.
Thanks for your time and comment.
You are both right... I have a lack of ability to make a long track because I find it hard to keep going without making it repetitive.
I will keep working on it.
Thanks again take care
