Yeah you have all the standard sounds, so now you may want to work on getting them to sit together right. It currently sounds a bit like throwing presets after each other.
oh ok. i wrote a bassline in 1 sound then on every note i changed the sound preset. so the attacks should in theory be in the correct place. this was my first attempt at anythin like this
I guess you're going for a kind of random, "entrophic" feel? Cause it sound chaotic right from the bat, but strangely it feels just right... for a while. That is the first... 40 to 50 seconds, then I want something more. I can hear you're changing up stuff during the song, but really I feel the song is quite repetitive and uniform and I don't enjoy it throughout. So yup, as you say it definitely needs more work. Very cool sound though, original and complex, so keep it up
The track's deliberately repetitive, but I definitely see your point. Honestly, it should be enjoyable, so expect some sort of adjustment on this one for the next version. Thanks for listening and giving some constructive criticism, too. Cheers!
My opinion is a bit mixed here... the chord progression is kinda weird, it did not progress at all as I expected the first time I heard it, and it didn't sound too good to my ears. The various melodies don't really sing that well together either, so I think the composition itself is kind of... weak (don't know a better word to use here). The sounds themselves however, are very cool and fit nicely together in the mix as well. I guess what I really want to hear is the same setup of synths and stuff, but in a different song. :P
Pretty cool track. The same beat with no variation get pretty darn boring after a little while. I'm sure you could vary it a bit more. The audio seems to distort quite a lot through the track, although that might just be a side effect from one of the instruments.
Lots of cool synths (that one at 2:45 adds a very "ass-kicking" feel to it, if you get what I mean;) and instruments. Very repetitive structure all the way through, you might want to change up a little in the last part just to add some variation.
Wow- that was one amazing musical trip. WONDERFUL melody and composition. Never got bored of it, not at all. Absolutely loving that wobbling bass, kinda comical sound, but great use of legato and melody. My only complaint would be that the drums sound a bit too raw and plain. Otherwise it's all damn great. Fantastic work!
thanks mate, yea the drums are actually distorted (hard to tell) but yea thats what gave them that raw feeling. I kind of got my insperation from a guy I know that encouraged me just to not let my tunes be repetitive, so i went out on a tangent and did it. New for me, so I thought I okay. Took a long time though... thasnks again
Ooh that's some nice drum beats you got in the song- I kinda think you've been using a few preset samples and instruments, since I've heard many of em in Reason's soundbank. Em modulated voice samples didn't fit too much into the feeling of the rest of the track, but that's some nit-picking that is probably wrong anyway
Good stuff. The pads are really chill sounding. Great use of textures and fx here too. Loving this song, I could really see it fit for background music in for example a space exhibition in a museum? No idea myself really
Nice pumping bassline right there. A little changing up on that could have done good though. Its progression is very basic and slow, so it takes a while before it catches up. There never really seems to be a climax there. But it doesn't really need to go anywhere too fast, it's perfectly fine where it is...
In the beginning there's an intense amount of low end stuff, which makes it sound pretty creepy- and I'm sure that's not your original intention. Other than that, it's a great little track- the
The rumble sound at the srart is meant to be there but it doesnt sound so good when compressed as an mp3. There is also a very low sub bass in there that doesnt come through well when compressed
Those drums are amazing- if you made those yourself, then you have some great skill at doing that- and if you sliced up the amen break and shuffled around with it- then holy cow, I admire those slicing skills. Great use of synth and fx too. The vocal parts work great, but I'd like a version without them just as much. Great work!!
Real nice song... though it seems like you changed it up all the time, it sounds repetitive- maybe you should make some more significant changes at some parts? That's all for my criticism. I loved it!

cool thing. The guitar playing was kinda off though. But I loved most of the stuff here, though I don't usually listen to this kind of stuff.
