How do you even make something like this. It's awesome. It's almost 8 minutes long and I was never bored. There are so many different things going on, but it still felt cohesive. Amazing.

Pretty good cover. I feel like this singer enunciates clearer than the original singer lol. I feel like the drum is a touch too weak, but the guitar tones sound awesome.

Hehe, the original had a "no f's given" attitude, those were the tines back then. The problem with the drums is programming, especially cymbals, regardless how you sample them drum vsti's will sound fake and I'm mainly reffering to the cymbals especially, just cant beat the inconsistencies and tonal changes of a live played drum set. I've re-amped the guitars since they are provided as clean direct input signals.

Glad you enjoyed it. Initially the transitions were a little rough, so I put some extra effort into them until they sounded good to me. It is awesome to get validation that I hit the mark.

The opening is very cool. I like the build into the guitar. The lead violin is very pretty and fits really well. This reminds me of "Buying New Soul" by Porcupine Tree. Good stuff.

Mentioning "Buying new Soul" is almost kind of a shock to me and enormous compliment. Favourite track from one of my fav bands, but I really didn't have them in mind doing this, but who knows, there might be something in subconsciousness as I believe it often happens with musicians creating music. I'm usually not a fan of house music, but this is very nice. Mellow with a variety of layers to hold interest. I also like the subtle way you used the vocals.

Usually when I think of trance I think boring and repetitive, but this is very neat and very listenable. Your instruments have pleasing tones. I like that the kick and bass are more subdued because it allows the pretty melodies to dominate.

Thanks, Heath. I don't think trance has to be boring and repetitive, although I agree that some of it is. I like a focus on melody. Perhaps that's why JoeFunktastic felt that this really wasn't trance.

I have had a tendency in my tracks to make the kick too dominant I think. I am trying to dial it down a bit. My wife calls my music "thump, thump music". That's not meant as a compliment, but it accurately reflects the way I have mixed kicks and bass in my tracks.

I think this track would be a lot better if it had real vocals. Just need to work out some lyrics. And, find a singer of course! :)

Absolutely fantastic. I love the change at 3:53. Even though it lacks conventional structure and instrumentation it's engaging all the way through. Amazing.

Im glad you enjoyed it, I find alternative song structures to be really engaging so try to do that in my work sometimes. You should check out my SC page (only 5 songs up there), you might enjoy some of the work I have there :()

Very interesting. That change at 0:48 caught me off guard. One thing is that I feel it gets a little repetitive from 1:29 on. Still cool though.
