Are those MusicRadar samples? If so, you used them better than I did. 0:57 - 1:26 is incredibly cool. Great use of differing sounds. Personally, I'd like to hear more done with it.

Hey! Thanks for listening! Yes, that is exactly the sample pack that I used. I try to keep my music on the shorter side to prevent any unnecessary repetition, and to keep things fresh

That vocal at 0:51 is really cool. The build from 0:51 - 1:16 is very well done. The drums are perfect. The vocal at 1:54 is awesome. Personally I would've liked to hear more done with it. Great track.

on Chip Tuned by sqrtofneg1
I love how varied this album is. I'm not usually a big fan of chiptune or 8bit music, but this is very well done. I like how you incorporated sounds that weren't chiptuned or bitcrushed. I've made a song similar in style to this one, but this is well beyond what I could make. I like the constant building structure as well.

Hey, thanks for listening! I really tried to have variance in genres in my music.

on Plucks by sqrtofneg1
This sounds like it could be a theme song for a light-hearted space movie or TV show. The wobbly lead is super cool and fits really well with the backing plucks. The chord progressions are very interesting.

on Liquid by sqrtofneg1
Liquid is a great name. It makes me think of undersea or coral reefs. Very mellow. The bell is really cool, but I think it might have a little too much in the high frequency. Awesome track.

sqrtofneg1 replied 12th Jul 2019 - 6 years ago
Thanks for listening! In retrospect, I may have overdone it just a little with the higher frequencies.

on Slow Down Please by sqrtofneg1
Cool intro. Great chords. Awesome lead at 1:32. I like your choice of bass. It's unique for LoFi. Nice track.

sqrtofneg1 replied 9th Jul 2019 - 6 years ago
Thank you for listening! I tried to have the bass be subtle and easy to overlook, but still doing its job.

Love that vocal sample. That build at 0:36 is so smooth. The dissonance at 1:42 is perfect.

on Future Bass by sqrtofneg1
Excellent track. I love the unique take on conventional future bass. The drop at 1:11 is very minimal but incredibly impactful. I love the variation throughout. Overall it's very clean and to the point.

Fantastic. The lead at 1:43 is great. It reminds me of a theremin. I like the progression. It feels very natural and smooth.

There it is. I've been ready for it. It gives me an xxyyxx vibe. Great use of frequency cuts. The change at 0:51 is super cool. The bass at 1:17 is enormous.

I just checked out xxyyxx, and that's kind of the idea I was going for, so that's great!

on Digital Feeling by Indieground
It feels very cinematic. It could be a theme song for something dark and moody. Excellent percussion throughout. The build to the guitar at 2:25 is incredibly well done. You have a great guitar tone. Whatever that panning sound is at 4:02 it's awesome. This is pretty much a perfect track.

Hey thx for your kind words mate appreciate
I use a strange guitar from the 80's called a Bond Electraglyde. It's in carbon not in wood made the sound is a bit special. Check it on the web you'll see what it looks like.
Cheers

on MONUMENT by CitizenMofo2
I love the minimalist approach. Your vocals with the drums and choir is awesome. The track is effortlessly massive. It feels sluggish and heavy which is perfect for building a monument. The opening percussion reminds me of something Noisia or Ivy Lab would use. Great work.

Thank you. I really appreciate the comment. I've hated my singing voice my whole life and only recently decided screw it, let's just get the most out of it. So your comment is really encouraging. I don't know those bands you mentioned so I'll check them out. Again, thank you!

on Hate To Not Love by Sunbeats
Smooth. Great instrument choices. That syncopated hat isn't super common in trap. I like it. The volume cut at 2:23 is perfectly timed. Great stuff.

on Falling Into Myself - Feat Sarah English by tomplets
A lot of cool stuff here. The panning of the pad from 1:00 - 1:15 is awesome. At 0:37 I feel like some lower tones could add punch to the chorus. Great track.

tomplets replied 30th Jun 2019 - 6 years ago
Thanks for taking the time to listen! I like your idea for the chorus. I will experiment with bringing some more lower end in there.

on monsterage - probe by monsterage
Minimal but never boring. It sounds like you put a lot of effort into the percussion. The pads underneath are very interesting as well. I liked the use of the vocals at the end. They are a bit hard to understand through the mix though.

monsterage replied 27th Jun 2019 - 6 years ago
was a bit hard to use those vocals since they had background noises like "wind and dogs barking" I tried cleaning them up as much as possible lol. ty for your feedback heath :)

on LunnchBoxx - Yasuo The Wanderer by LunnchBoxx
Awesome build up. Really built the tension. 2:08 - 2:58 is really well done. The transition from resolution to build was super smooth. The drop at 3:00 started off in a very interesting way. Personally I would have liked to hear more development from that perspective. Great stuff.

on stop being superfluous by sqrtofneg1
Love the variety. It's such a smooth track. The glockenspiel (I think) flair like at 2:05 is cool to hear. The instruments have excellent tones as well. It's not just good, it's fun to listen to.

Excellent drums. The guitar solo at 1:18 is really cool. I also like the backing vocals. I think psychedelic is as good a genre as any.

I love the halftime vibes. It's definitely dark. One suggestion would be more variation. Have some slight changes in the drum pattern or the instruments.
