Very cool! I might go ahead and download this and give it a try sometime. It's got a solid sense of movement and I think some additions could really make this bang.
What key were you working in? I'm terrible at telling that by ear.
Great song, man. I love genre bending stuff like this. It's got such a cool mix of industrial, trap, electronic, even metal influence. I know genre can be helpful, but in some ways I think it limits people from experiencing everything that's out there. The song should always come first and then we can argue about genre all day, and this one is a banger no matter where it gets put.
Hey man, I appreciate the support. I agree on genres and limitations. Im really passionate about creating music that makes sense for me personally. Music is really the only thing I have and its most definitely my only outlet. Between The Monzder Squadd, The Loserz Club and the stuff I do solo, Ive been staying pretty busy, thankfully. Thanks for your time
lol, thanks for the listen and comment, it made me smile young 'un, that's what music is really about, havin' fun first and foremost, i like to see the young'uns come through too, as they learn and progress, then a few years down the line it's them passing their knowledge on to the new comers and your track was worthy of a comment, age doesn't really come into it, stick with it kid you got a bit of talent
Bwahahahaha this is awesome. As someone who works in an office I can feel this in my bones, and the music behind it is a treat. I love that funky guitar, especially the solos. And the intro/outro is also really fun.
Hi Malkontent42, thanks for your compliment and congratulations! Quite an unexpected comment, but, I think it was what I was aiming towards in the music. Glad you picked that up! Thanks for that
Wow! This has so much technical brilliance woven into it. Those build-ups and drops are amazing. I really hope that someday I can make stuff this intricate and evocative. Great job!
Great mood track, relaxing but with an underlying tension. If you wanted to, you could drop some hard guitars and another drum line into the mix near the middle and make it really take off, but I do like the way it consistently builds without ever really releasing.
Oh hell yes. This is hardcore, man. I love those driving beats and your vocals fit perfectly into the mix. And the lyrics are straight out of an old blues song, but cranked up to 11 with a hard rock chorus. I'm adding this one to my driving mix for sure.
Yo! This track is everything I love, it really pulls you into the heart of a dark, dangerous city and the lyrics, vocals, beat and guitar all combine beautifully to give it a wonderfully disturbing sense of place and atmosphere. If Tom Waits did metal music, it would sound like this.
The only thing I would mention is that the title should probably be When the Light Burns, not Lights. I also noticed a few minor issues in the lyrical transcription, but those are less important.
This is such a great track and brings such dark emotions into the light. I love it! Thank you for sharing!
Good morning. Thank you very much for your careful listening and for the time you devoted to us. Indeed, the correction is correct, and if you could also let me know whether there is anything else that we should perhaps correct (if it is practically necessary) in the lyrics, we would be very grateful. Thank you also personally, as I supervised the production. I worked extensively on the lyric fitting and the prosody, and it is possible that I may have left something that was not noticed carefully enough.
Love it! This really creates an awesome mood and atmosphere. I haven't played cyberpunk yet, but it still brings to mind things like Shadowrun or Bladerunner. I could see this as the epic chase music as an android hacker flees across rooftops in a neon dystopian cityscape. Great job!
The only thing I'd say for critique is the very last few seconds seem a bit jarring. I would consider ending it at 1:34 instead. But either way, it's a great song and I'm so glad you shared it!
Aha yeah! In cyberpunk they call hackers netrunners, some slick neon lighted, leather clad netrunner zipping across buildings while the corpos try to hunt them down ahhhh! I love the visual!
Yeah, will def consider letting it ride out a bit. Tysm for your comment man!
Wow, this is pretty amazing, man. I love how intricate that beat is; every click and beep feels completely intentional and altogether it makes up this complicated audial landscape that moves along naturally and organically. Very satisfying and relaxing. Great work!
Very nice! Got a great beat that you could easily dance to. I really love that quick tapping sound that comes into the beat at around 0:09. It drives things forward in a very satisfying way.
Dude, this is so good. It feels very early nineties, like it brings me back to listening to Marcy Playground in my car as a teenager. Great job!
And yeah, it's hard building a traditionally structured song with just loops. It takes a lot of musical surgery and finesse. That's why I need to start learning a real DAW instead of just using Audacity.
Hi Mal, thanks a lot. I haven't heard of Marcy Playground, will have to check them out. As for DAWs, a friend put me onto Reaper when I got into music making. It's all I know but I like it, it's pretty intuitive, lots of good tutorials on line, and it's cheap.... Cheers Zoot.
Oh my god, this is amazing. Seriously, this is so catchy and beautiful, and I want to blast it while driving 90 down a California beach highway. This is gonna be stuck in my head for days! XD
Hello again,
It is so pleasant to see that you liked this work. Manuela, her sister and the True Sister Band have worked so meticulously produce this song, and of course everyone can recognize the quality in it.
Thank you for your time taken to listen and comment on the track.
Best wishes, Anthony
Oh wow, that is really amazing. That slightly lopsided beat gives a feeling like you're swaying on a ship at sea and the background reminds me of the quiet roar of the waves. It reminds me of a classic sea shanty or some of the Italian/Mediterranean music I would hear growing up around my family. This brings back so many memories. Amazing job, man.
Thank you so much,
This song is one of my favorites when it comes to my creations and I am really pleased it resonates so beautifully with your memories of the Mediterranean.
Best wishes, Anthony
Thank you so much! Love that you felt the vibe. Catching that specific 'mood' is exactly what I aim for when I'm locked in the studio. Appreciate the support, man!
