I like this track as is. I enjoyed the listen. I don't claim to know much but when I listened one thing I would experiment with is dropping the drums out a couple of times. I think it was right around 0:48 when the vocals come back might work but for sure I would try experimenting with a short pause at 1:00 for the beat and then bring it back. I think that might make a nice impact. But I don't know anything and could be way off... :)
Look, theres this thing called harmony. Without it, nothing really lands. No matter how dope the vocals or how sweet the melody, your track still wont truly hit people in the feels.
Im just keeping it real, no negativity. I really hope you hear me out. I get it when youre making your own music, every riff or hook you write might sound like straight fire to you. But the truth is, its not there yet.
A lot of people here are super nice and dont want to hurt anyones feelings, so instead of giving real constructive feedback, they just gas you up with praise.
Dont get me wrong Ill give you props too. Youre doing your thing. Youre putting in the work. Thats seriously cool. But if you wanna make truly great music, you first need to study the greats or learn from someone whos been around the block.
Youve got it in you to write a killer track. And honestly, this one? For someone whos still learning? Its actually pretty solid."
Let me know if you'd like a version that sounds more like a voice note from a producer friend.
Hey, first off, thank you so much. That's why I ask for feedback, so I know where I can improve! If there's something I need to work on, then I want to know. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me your feedback, especially when it's something that I need to work on.
My question, though, is exactly what you mean by harmony in this case. Is there something that sounds like it clashes or is discordant? I try hard to make sure that all loops I use are in the same key and compliment each other tonally. I don't read music (never could get it to stick in my head), but i do have a very basic understanding of music theory, including chord progressions, different types of chords, and stuff like that, although I am obviously still learning.
Is there something specific that I'm missing? Or do you have any advice on how to improve?
Again, I really appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback, and I totally understand if you don't want to go that in depth on things, just thought I would ask. Thanks again!
I am reading your answers to the previous comments and I recognize a person with love for music creation and beautiful feelings about the way collaborations may happen on LM. You know all that is radiating from your song, it is the way you work and how you believe things would be. And it is a very successful effort, it is a song, well constructed and performed. I would like a minute more too, and that means I just wanted more of this pleasure listening to a beautiful song.
Best regards, Anthony
I like the melody. Are you trying something different with this one? Experimenting isnt just a good thing, its key to growth and evolution. Just messing around with whatever comes to mind can tell you alot about what your musical instincts are, and what your strengths are. Or could be. I like Charvox, but I would've went a different route, like maybe some faint ethnic chanting, and maybe add a refrain with another verse/vocal
Thank you man! And yeah, I agree that experimenting is key to everything. I make sure that I learn at least one new thing every time I sit down to make something, even if it's small. In this case it was how to add that radio-type distortion to voices. This whole art form is so fascinating to me and I love how collaborative this process is, all the way down, from the loop makers to the singers, to the producers and samplers and beyond. And I love the fact that the two of us can hear the same acapella or loop and go in completely opposite directions with it, and both are completely valid as long as they have heart.
thats not a bad piece at all, vocals are good bro, another 1 min would be better gives you a 3 min piece but as you say your learning 2 mins is ok lol, be proud bruv its a good work, it may have been put up as a pop accapella, but this piece is more trap sounding than pop to me, but that's not important really, nice upload and welcome to the community
Thanks man! I really appreciate it. Yeah, I thought about stretching it out to 3 minutes but I figured I would rather have a really solid 2 minutes and not have it get repetitive. I also am so bad at telling different genres apart, so youre probably right that its more trap. Thank you so much!
Hey I downloaded the song and would like to upload this song. It's yours but if you allow me to upload it I'll tell the story about it in the description.
Good track, I liked it when the guitar kicks in. It's definitely a bit of a juxtapostion as the vocals are quite lively and uplifting and the music has a bit dark undercurrent to it, but it works really well together and makes it stand out. Good stuff.
Yes, it is exactly as you described it. It has a very beautiful musical style, with vocals that are ideal for the track, and the musical arrangement is very successful. Overall, it is a very nice piece of work.
I should also say that it is hybrid electronic. It contains many analog elements, warm vocals, and a warmer master overall. I liked it very much.

Thank you my friend! You are right, Hybrid electronic is exactly correct for my work. I like to start with an electronic base and staple different things on top of that to see how they work together. Whether that makes it rock or pop or metal or whatever, doesn't matter to me.
Congratulations my friend !!!!!!! This project (your work) was very difficult to highlight the vocals !! I thought about working with these specific vocals but ultimately didn't try it thinking it was outside my field. Bravo !!!!! Cheersssssssssss !!
Thank you so much! I think you should give it a try if you haven't already. It's a really fun sample to play with. See how it goes. I would be interested to hear if you do.
