Thanks Modnex. It was a pretty flighty piece to work on since the main piece was one long loop. I was able to splice it here and there and add some nice things to it and it turned out really nice. Mom named it for me.
This is an awesome remix. The original was really emotional, this remix does a great job at making it more upbeat. The only problem for me is the length, I think this song should be longer. You should think about adding more. Regardless nice work here sir!
This is pretty nice! The only thing I think should have been different is the intro. The intro started out too boring with just those hihats. You should think about using pads to start it off, like most drum n bass do. Other than that, I really enjoyed this piece.
This is a really great song! Those vocals are awesome and with the beat you structured around it, makes it a whole lot better! Who is the vocalist on this song? Regardless, great work all the way through. I really enjoyed this one!
I absolutely love the vibe of this one. It reminds me of those 1900 themed movies. I believe your small description fits well with this track. The sounds you came up with creates a very emotional vibe throughout the base of the track. With the right film to accompany it, this song could become a masterpiece no one will ever forget. Even though it does that quite well on it's own.
This is a nice track here! The overall atmosphere of this track is radiant and makes me feel really happy. The drums are also nice and have a very chill sound to them. The only thing this one is missing is some vocals!
The snippet is really great! That vocal sample is something else. I think you mixed it down pretty well and can't wait to hear the full version. Nice work thus far!
I really like this one. I think chords in it is great. I also really like the beginning very much. This track has a very mainstream sound to it, which means radio stations would probably love this one. You should try sending it out to a few of them!
This track reminds me of something that would have been on the little big planet soundtrack! I love that soundtrack and love this song for reminding me of it. Great work here and thanks for sharing!
I liked this one a lot. The vibes remind me of some of the tracks played on UKF Drum N Bass channel. I think you pieced this one together really well. Nice work and keep them coming!
This is an enjoyable track here. I see you implanted a lot of jazz elements into this track. It's definitely an interesting listen and makes my mind wonder off. It would be interesting to know what your original intentions for this track was.
Regardless of that, I have to say I really enjoyed this one and will be on the look out for more like this from you!
so basically my very intention was only to make a new track. My previous looperman one was kind of electro-styled (with JoeCramer's vocals) so I decided to go even further with the exploration of my new hardware synth this time. This track was made entirely (except drums) using only one sound source (Roland Juno Di) but I started with very simple drumming and tried many different synth presets. The basic idea was: 120 bpm and the key of F (no chord changes). It was recorded from the keyboard in a real time but of course with a lot of placing/replacing of all recorded single elements inside the composition afterwards (but the main synth lead was played in a real time without any placing/replacing manipulations). At some point I replaced simple drums by some excellent EZdrummer jazz performances (which is probably the only 'jazz' element here).
So this is the process. There's no need to quantize notes anymore (I did that a lot when using plugins for piano or electric piano). There's no even MIDI in there (me happy yay! haha)
thanks a lot for listening and nice comments,
best, alex
This was very enjoyable. It actually has a lot of sounds that is used in pop. I haven't heard the original, but I'll be sure to give it a listen. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks...I was trying to my Guitars dance with the track, messing
around really...
And it turned into this, did spend some time with it once it started
to sound like something... :)
This is a great track! Capturing emotion is the key to hip hop and you sir, do a fine job of that! Are you going to get someone to place their vocals on this? I think the right vocals will make this track spark even more. Regardless great effort and keep going!
I've heard a few other tracks with this same acapella in it. I think I'll put yours up there in the top five of the ones I heard. You did a great job in making the vocals fit perfectly with the beat you've made. Not many can do that, so I give you props there. In all I enjoyed this track, nice work here!
Sorry i'm a bit late with the reply.
Whenever i'm using other peoples vocals I always try my best to carry on whatever mood I feel like they're trying to deliver and I feel this went pretty well.
But anyway thanks for listening and i'm glad you liked it.
peace.
Lol, I think my eyes just played a huge trick on me. I could of sworn the date said "May" . Regardless of that, 167 downloads in 2 months is still impressive. Keep up the reat work!
167 downloads in 6 days speaks for itself. There is no surprise with that one. This track gives off a very atmospheric vibe and just sends my mind wondering. It sort of puts you in a trance like state. That alone makes this track very powerful. Was that your original intentions, while making this song or did it just fall into place.
I started to click that you better pay attention about the month but you passed me...:-)
There wasn't a big conceptbehind this track...I found that opening lounge, dreamy synth and the others just came...I was lucky to find those awesome drum loops and the groovy told the story too...
Thank you for the great words, if you don't mind I don't answer to your another comment...:-)
I think this track is nice. However the drums in the very beginning sounds a bit off beat to me. This track is a bit different from the things I normally listen to, so it was a interesting for me. Work on timing the track a bit better and you'll be good to go. Nice work.
Thanks for the feedback, critique, and encouragement. You are probably right regarding the timing being slightly off. Maybe not enough to completely ruin the track, but enough to perhaps hinder it nonetheless. It is something I have put into my notes to be more aware of when constructing other tracks (which hopefully will be soon when time permits).
