This is some excellent work, those layers were a good call! The vocal matches perfectly, and there's a lot going on (that's a good thing lol) here. Everything fell into place perfectly, it's got ALL of the enhancements on the same page. It definitely shows you put some work into this, love it! A total banger with strong work!

Now this is some beautiful EDM here, I really dig this! It's like the early 2000's again, takes me back to happier times and a solid club banger! I'll echo what @Kayos2 said, this is some fabulous Armand Van Helden vibes! Killer flow and sound, even better since you included your grandson into the session. Strong work and great stuff! Thanks for the trip back into the "00s.

Thank you, glad you like. Now I have to lookup some Armand Van Helden, most likely know some of it's songs but can't place the link, getting really old ;)
Had to check YT ;) shifting to house? haha ;)

on Panta Rhei featuring Rubi Diaz by Gizmo1205
Nice! Now I really dig this! Smooth as silk my dude, solid track for sure! That Reggae style guitar transition is dope, and slides into the second verse cleanly. The ambient backing track in the intro, is that ocean waves/beach or something else? Is there a bass line? I hear the kicks off course, but not detecting a bass line. That could be something on my end, wasn't sure if it was there. The only point I have is the vocals could come down slightly, especially in the first verse. I hope I don't come off as picking on you or singling you out. I want to see you grow and flourish, you definitely have something here. I applaud you for trying new things and straying off the beaten path. Vocals can be a real pain and unforgiving at times, I know it first hand as well. Overall, a smooth little track to chill with or play at a summer barbecue. Strong work!

Thank you for your praise and constructive critic. I really do appreciate your love for detail and definitely see your point with the vocals and overall missing bass line. I soon intend to spend some time on it again and work it over. Best wishes.

on Against all odds by TheFrenZ
@TheFrenZ I forgot to mention, this track would be perfectly at home as the main theme to a hardcore sci-fi/action movie. Either that, or the track to the final chase/battle. Something like The Terminator (first one), Tron, Heavy Metal and others along the same line.
TheFrenZ
TheFrenZ replied 25th Mar 2026 - 2 months ago
I will most likely upload it to the free music archive for everyone to use in their NC projects.

Seriously, your work with the keys are stellar!! Like it's knocked me out of m socks! I can hear a lot of your influences here, and it's a master blend of 80's and 90's synth sounds and modes. This track is pretty hard to be contained in just one genre, that would only pigeon hole the track and not reflect the true depth here. An excellent club banger for sure! Also, I love Vital! I'm back to learning it again after a two year gap. Anyway, excellent work! I would be here forever listing the influences I hear, but I'm sure you're aware. More please!! Sir? More pls? lol ... As always, strong work!
TheFrenZ
TheFrenZ replied 25th Mar 2026 - 2 months ago
Thanks, glad you like it, but you're giving me more credit then I deserve, I'm just follow my feeling, gathering sounds and finding melodies on my keyboard. I'm an oldie and for me the 80's and 90's finally produced some proper music that is still all around us every day ;) But there isn't a deeper meaning involved, I just create what I like with minimal influences from outside and compose music by playing the keys and/or edit midi tracks using an midi editor. With a few exceptions, I only use samples for effects.
And more will follow :)

Oh yeah, this is spot on!! Takes me straight back to the 90's! Yeah, vocals can be a real pain to deal with at times. I still struggle with the same issues you do while trying to master the DAW I use, Abelton Live 11 Lite. You're on the right path here, keep plugging along, even when you get so frustrated and on the verge of exploding. Might take a while, but working knowledge doesn't come in one day. Work at your pace, and you'll get there! The track is excellent, strong work! PS: +1 for Analog Lab V, so much stuff to work with!
juankar
juankar replied 25th Mar 2026 - 2 months ago
Thank you so much for your comments. The '90s were one of the best eras for music, in my opinion. I'm still learning little by little, and Analog Lab V really does have some great sounds that sometimes make things easier. I also really like the Podolski VST.

I'll preface this by saying I'm really not a fan of Trap. However, I will give trap tracks a listen and I may find one or a few I like. There's some I do like, but this is the first straight trap mix I really dig! It's clean, not repetitive, and that breakdown is smooth. Excellent!
Flat2Forge
Flat2Forge replied 7th Jun 2026 - 1 week ago
Wow, this is an incredible compliment! Thank you so much. Converting someone who isn't usually a fan of Trap is honestly one of the best feelings a producer can have.

I always strive to keep my mixes clean and dynamic so they don't fall into that repetitive loop, and I'm so glad that the breakdown and the overall structure hit right for you.

Really appreciate you stepping out of your comfort zone to give my music a chance and for leaving such an awesome review. Cheers, my friend!

My dude, I'm blown way! The feel and emotion just drop kicks you in the chest, the way it should happen. The mix is sick, it really suits your lyrical/vocal style. I'm in love with this, and it's excellent all the way around! Like @Danke2026 said, you made it! Excellent stuff!

Thanks! You must be delving deep into the archives to find this one. If it's unique it's probably because I don't really know anything about dnb! Cheers Zoot.

on Lucid Dreams by Dripig
C'mon my dude, this isn't boring at all! It flows hardcore smooth, and those ambients are certainly on point! I wouldn't have downloaded the track if I thought for a second it was boring lol. However, I can also see why you think so. I would be thinking the same thing, you already know I dog my productions super hardcore lol. Speaking for myself, the track is full of beauty and I wouldn't change a thing! It's a great balance with your other tracks, and would be right at home being sandwiched between your solid ragers. Bring the listener down, than build them back up by getting kicked in the chest with a hardcore/over the top unforgettable raging monster! Another suggestion, this track would be a phenomenal album closer. Outside of those ideas, the track really stands up on it's own the way it is now, and needs nothing else. I don't find it boring, more like a minimal/lo-fi introspective breakcore/DnB thought provoking flavored track. Very influential too, so thank you for nailing down that perfect vibe/feel. Strong work as always.
