Beautiful piano at the intro, the choir adds a very nice touch to the melody and this track could even fall under the catagory of cinamatic! I love how the bass and drum fall into the track as well. Good job!!

Hey Bassmom I had a listen to Fallen Down, cool tune, i think you sound good on the mic !! I am working on getting better at mixing vox into my tunes so would love to first attempt to mix in your vox if you don't mind, happy to let you do the same... if you can record & send as mp3 etc I will use edison in FL10 to chop, edit & apply..
Reflection is @ 160 bpm

Raf! babe I have to agree with spivkurl!! the vocals are awesome and the flute adds a nice touch but you should not let that flute play so much a part in the track and may I suggest perhaps a synth pad as an added touch? bring your bass and drum backwards a bit and put emphasis on the vocal and on the melody! Other than that if I had to rate this track on a scale from 1 to 10 I would defo give it a solid 8 for originality and creativity!!!! you know me just sayin!!!...........

ok. the flute sample was main part of song, based on some hip hop tracks ive listened to, But it has a fade in, a variation which leads to the chorus and also the chorus had a different flute sample used which gives a break from tht loop.

The original song the vocals were not so loud and the flute sample was more prominent. But the mastered version definitely has more louder and sharper vocals, which im happy with.

Before the final mix was mastered it was heard alot of people and about 6 different sound engineers who all said it was fine, except a few things which were changed before the mastering. For example the "yesterday" vocal at the start and near the end was off beat and was corrected. The chorus vocals were also a bit off beat and this was fixed.

maybe at some point i will do another mix, based on new feedback! But for time being most peeps seem to be happy with the mix.

Love the drum n bass and the synth in this track and since you have a lack of inspiration may I suggest adding a trance pad and a sweeping synth as the melody? It made me want to dance!

Yes I would concur that this is Techno or even just Electronica in general I like the hook vocal used here and the use of fx is good and the drum and bass and I specialize in drum n bass and breakbeats and the use of them sound real good also. You have a good sounding track here what vst's or synths do you use??? The only thing I would do is make the track a bit longer ok???

WOW!!!! i AM STUNNED AND AMAZED!!!!! Hello my name is BASSMOM! i could see this on a dance floor!! and you asked so here is something that i have learned about mastering. as far as I can tell try using your 10 band equalizer or your parametric equalizer to either bring some sounds up while others you tone down so that the overall mix is not over bearing when listening to it. I have a track called Stellar Rays and another called Drop that Beat and Open Space that will give you an idea of how to master out your sounds so they sound much better ok? I do not use FL studio I use Sonar 8 and Reason 4 and Magix sampletuide. If you have any other questions please let me know and do not be afraid to ask and as for this track??
I am very impressed with it!!! GREAT JOB!!!

Wow!! I am simply in awe at the sound of this track!! it reminds me of the "ancient" days of Egyptian music and I can actually feel the beat "run" through me like the Nile River!!! I even caught my self belly dancing!!! the use of the drum and the synth work well together!!! A great work of art my friend!!!

Hello!! My name is Bassmom aka Shari I like the vocals but the genre should be tribal and not jazz my new friend. This sounds more like tribal or ambient or perhaps even chill out music. It is a good sound and I like the piano loop and the tribal drum. The track would sound great if you add some fx sounds and perhaps some bass to it as well. overall it is a good piece of work, it just needs a bit of fine tuning and "tweaking".
I hope I am not too harsh here I am just trying to help you make it better ok??
