It is a pretty interesting sound. I am not sure if it's an EDM track, but it feels like a solid electronic piece, even though it is missing (to me) that dance vibe. It is well crafted with really good sound quality, everything is clear, no frequency issues, and the low end is as strong as needed. Overall, it's a track of electronic music that kept me interested from start to finish.

Thanks for the listen and comment, I'm glad you like it. Yes, the genre selection, always a struggle. as I usually start from scratch and not try to match an example I start most of the time not knowing what genre it will become. Then the big guessing starts, in this case techno like beats, trance like arps and edm like buildup/drop, but not enough melodic for melodic techno resulted in dropping it in Electronic Dance Music.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it, and I'm even happier that you noticed those subtle bass tones, haha. Truth be told, I just loaded the guitar loop, and to my ears it already sounded rich and complete. I simply added what I felt it needed...my vocals.

It is definitely electronic music, but I am not sure it qualifies as EDM. Honestly, I could easily imagine listening to your track in a video game, its clear and expressive in its own way, but it didn't have that EDM spark, the special energy that makes dance music stand out. Great jazz, Mark. This piece is pure keyboard heaven, with the keys doing incredible, sometimes unimaginable things. All the instruments are top quality of course, but my closeness to keyboard instruments makes me notice them the most.

Beautifully made, atmospheric and ambient with its electronic structure. I liked that vocal that came in at 1:59 (or it was some vocal synth), I don't know it gave a very special character to the track, something that resonated with me.

I enjoyed the song especially at 1:39 when the guitar came in, but then I've lost it. I agree about the overuse of compressors and the mild distortion that makes it hard to understand the lyrics. The beat is beautiful, and the overall build of the song is really catchy.
