This is a real treat in headphones....man you two are simply amazing when you get together.......this is a blend of ambient/fusion/electronica with just a touch of Pink Floyd thrown in for fun :)
AWESOME keyboard work....like having Leon Russell playing along today :) Great style, and great control Mickey. This is really nice, from the great keyboard work to the stellar bass line.
My friend, this is the first song of the day for me, and I am glad I started with your track :) I like to have a cup of coffee and listen to great music to start my day off right, and this track is the perfect accompaniment to a great cup of coffee.
Beautiful phrasing and control. You are one of the greats my friend. I thank you for the download. I will enjoy this one again and again.
Wow, what a great song gentlemen (and terrific lyrics by Marie)! Pete is in rare form and once again shows he is one of the best vocalists on the Loop. Then you throw in his great guitar styling and your amazing work......well, it is nothing short of magnificent.
This is Santana meets Steely Dan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can only stand and applaud your efforts. Words fail me. Bravo, bravo, bravo!!!!!!!
Downloaded to play again and again loudly as I drive down the highway of life. Thanks for that.
You guys definitely have mad skills. I love the fact that you let the music shine through, beautiful in its simplicity. You don't use gimmicks to get your great sound....you use an abundance of talent and ability.
I'm definitely a fan. Keep doing what you are doing. I predict great things for all of you. Thanks for sharing your great talents here on Looperman.com
Outstanding work! I love the way you stripped this one down to just the acoustic, electric and your vocals. Your guitar work is exceptional and the vocals are nicely done. Great mix. Nothing to criticize here. Absolutely one of the best songs I've heard in a while.
Ash, stellar work here. Your playing is always off the charts good. This has a Rolling Stones feel to it, freaking awesome. I'm glad the favorite button is back on Looperman.com v2. This is my first addition to my favorites list.
I was looking for something mellow to start out my day with, and I'm glad I discovered this one. Sometimes the most enjoyable music is that which allows the listener to simply enjoy the moment....this track did exactly that. Nothing here to distract me, just a great song with a great beat.
That triple glazed Mercedes sounds nice, but out here in the desert, maybe it would be a convertible and the top would be down....and we sit through the light twice just because we can :)
Abner, how are you my friend.....wow, like listening to George Benson in my studio. I keep forgetting just how good you are on jazz guitar. I think you could play just about any genre. Beautiful tone, beautiful phrasing, beautiful technique.
Absolute perfection my friend. Thank you for the download as well. I will use it as inspiration. I hope all is well.
Wow Bear ! thank you for saying such inspiring words man, I only wish that friends like you keep pop in up in my life so that i can keep moving on with heads up, Thank you FRIEND !
Emily, it's great to hear some new stuff from you, especially something cinematic. I think you may have discovered your true calling. While you are adept at other genres, you have a real feel for this one. The song has great dynamics and a real sense of emotion....
It really is a work of art, professional sounding and about as good as anything I've heard in the cinema in a while.
Yey Thank you,and its true i feel i fake every genre, but this one and my track "sad" feel real.I'm happy you listened and felt emotion,it does take on a story on its own.
Emily...x
Brother Fila, you even had the hummingbirds dancing to this one, hahaha......bass line is off the charts good my friend. Loved the synth work, top notch stuff. Like having Clinton and Parliament in our midst :)
Props for a great tune. Hope you have a great weekend.
Hey Bear Thanks for the comments and glad them humming birds also enjoyed the song!! Thought I would try something different out of my comfort zone I enjoyed putting together the synths. Going back to my Jazz roots on the next one- stay tune!! Thanks Again!! Fila
Mickey, you nailed this one. I absolutely love your keyboard work. Great bassline on this one as well. I agree with the progressions being a match made in heaven.
Another sterling effort from you. I would have to believe that Stephanie has to be thrilled with this. I know I would be.
Bravo maestro. You are rapidly becoming one of my favorite piano players :) Hope all is well.
Like Dan, I really enjoyed the peace and tranquility on this one. The best music is that which comes from an emotional place and the emotion in this piece is palpable.
Beautifully constructed and performed with outstanding progressions and very nice dynamics. Outstanding effort. Thanks for sharing.
thank you for words, music is my life, and to receive such a positive comment on my work helps me carry on writing. there are so many good writers on Looperman I wondered if I was on the right lines with my music. thanks. Mickey
There are a few people on here who set an extremely high example for the rest of us, and you are at the top of that list.
This one is flawless, from start to finish. I am continually amazed at your versatility, prowess, and talent as a songwriter, composer, musician and engineer. Farisha is a huge talent as well. When you put the two of you together it is an absolute force of nature.
I think it might be time to retire that pella, cause nobody is going to come close to this one :) Thanks for the download as well. Beautiful work, Richie, absolutely beautiful.
Always good to hear from you and thank you so much for the comments. I guess every time I am in the studio putting a track together I feel a massive responsibility to the vocal tracks (in this case the huge talent that is Farisha) and attempt to put the best I possibly can together to support it. Yes, this bar I seem to keep setting is my own and the challenge to keep it as high as I can one I enjoy immensely.
I am knocked out with your comments here - thank you. Hope all is well with you.
Brother, I have to agree with Patricia. Stand up and take a bow, this one is really well done. You nailed the progressions, structure is perfect, mix is spot on, nothing here to be worried about.
I guarantee you I would be very proud of this effort. You should be too. And the break is sheer genius :)
I am glad I stopped by, this is beautiful work. Gorgeous pads and such beautiful chord progressions, all complimenting the sounds of nature perfectly. You are a true artisan and you weave such fantastic audio tapestries. Thanks for posting this one - it sure was a great way to end my day.
Awesome stuff here Serge, a fusion of so many great styles and instruments, produced and mixed masterfully. Outstanding effort my friend. I really enjoyed this one. It is hard to believe it is composed of loops....feels like all these guys were in the same room jamming away.
This one is chilled to perfection. I really enjoyed this musical journey. Like you said, the Rhodes has the ability to really establish a mood. You took full advantage of that, and your use of the right percussion at the right time shows a great command of this genre.
I loved everything about this one (that synth work is special stuff), outstanding mix as well. You treated the vox with a great deal of respect in the mix. The break was a nice use of the guitar loop :) The whole piece flowed like a gentle river.......
Absolutely a must listen and thanks for the download!!! I will enjoy it over and over again. Hope all is well.
Usually my beer is the only thing in this house which is chilled to perfection! Meaning, I am not easilly satisfied by the result of a few weeks' work. Maybe you know what I'm talking about, listening to your tracks and finding little mistakes over and over again... Your comment (and for that, all of these comments) help me put my own music in the right context. Thanks for that1
That synth (I assume you mean the lead) is in fact a simple synth voice, with some extra EQ on 1-2 kHz on two different equalizers, a slight side chain compression and a rather heavy phaser, slightly mixed. On the second part (from 2:09) I obviously added a distorion. At 3:40 I doubled the lead at another frequecy which gave it the distinct sound in that part. I'm quite happy with the result.
The break, in my opinion, is the most important part in any track, since it gets you focussed again. I am very happy with the guitar of course and how it fitted in the overall sound. Many thanks again (also for the recommendation :-)).
Fabulous work here, absolutely top shelf material. You have this marvelous way of coaxing every last ounce out of Patricia's vocals.....amazing work from your instrumentation to your engineering. This one is truly a work of art and an absolute pleasure to listen to.
I'm excited for the CD release. Put me down for a copy as soon as it drops. Two of my favorite artists on the same CD....it doesn't get any better than that :)
It's always good to have you stop by and post some comments. Working with Patricia's vocals gives me a great platform to construct a song from. Great timbre, amazing inflexions, soulful, tasteful and intelligent lyrics. It puts enormous pressure on me trying to do justice to it all and I'm so happy to have such great compliments from you. I have to say I enjoy the challenge immensely!
Album release imminent - I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your support.

Epic track, has a real cinematic feel to it (perhaps from her vocals), but I can definitely see this one being used in film.
