thank you much Ed. I agree that music is the ultimate form of communication. I find it much easier to convey ideas/feelings musically than in person through conversation. I'm ecstatic you enjoyed this track. feel free to download it if you wish. God bless!!

on The Cosmos by BlackKasper
Now this is different...and in a particularly good way..so even if I found it got a little repetative I found myself getting pretty laid back in the ol chair here BlackKasper...Kudos to you...and I`m glad I finally caught up with a horn player here on LM..they seem to be a bit scarce....goodn stuff.....Ed

very nicely done f24...I can tell a lot of thought went into all those precise little parts of the mix that just make the whole thing one great bit of laid-back listening...I could have listened a lot longer.....Ed

on Take Me On An Adventure by MightyMemphis
Hey MightyMemphis...great idea the way those strings add to the drama vibe...love the contrast with the beat & those little synth bits....synth section works a treat....You are off to one great start..hope you get whatever additions you are looking for...but gotta say..It was a good listen just as it is....keep on....Ed

on The Human Zone by Planetjazzbass
I was thinking about all the work it must have taken to program that percussion...but the rest of the music just picked my ears & mind up & carried them along for the ride...and a great ride it was...aside from that its a real tonic to hear some of the compositional inventiveness that goes into a mix like this.....Wicked, wicked bass...love it...another dandy Dave.....Ed

on Follow Me by Frederick2012
I like it a whole lot just where you have it now Fred..big power in the drums for an ambient mix but dm they are good and really are a key feature... I really wouldn`t suggest you change an thing unless there are some bits you feel you need to polish up or something...fabulous stuff man...I can handle as much of this as you have to offer....well done...Ed

on The Bridge by visualword
really nice mix visualword, especially with the variety of horns...and yes a very nice trumpet solo indeed...I didn`t really develop a liking for horn sections till I got wound up in doing blues tunes...and they definitely do grow on you..well done...enjoyed & nice to hear something different...Ed

on Giving up Giving in by Phyruis
I hear rhythm in most everything Phyruis....hell if a car goes by with the radio on I got a song idea Ha...haven`t quite got my ears into glitch much yet...I`m not sure about the crackles etc (maybe because that has always been what we tried to liminate from our recording in past times)...but on the other had I really like the beats and a lot of the subtle yet rich sounding synth parts....Obviously you do it well....so...I know where to come when I need a lesson....well done....Ed

on positive sadness by PlasticPeyote
This is just great listening PlasticPeyote...so I sure can`t feel sad about that....some beautiful sounds in here and I really like many of the thoughtful little things you did that just embellish the whole composition....that little bass line....the touch of organ that contrasts with the piano (especially like the piano).....Really well done....thanks for the dl...I`m going to want to listen some more....Ed

on 3 Stripes by soundsforsoreeyes
For the most part this one ios a pretty complex mix soundforsoreeyes....but you have some really cool sound in there,,,I fairly regularly like to layer some hip hop beats in some of my mixes (they work with just about everything) but I couldn`t claim to have any skills in the genre....You do it well...Ed

Hi Ed, nice to meet you and very glad you enjoyed my little naive song ;))
I didn't get what "on the money delivery" means ( English is not my native tongue ) .
Thx a lot for your encouraging words,

on Walk Away featuring JJ WEEKZ by brillbilly
Just a great track brillbilly and JJ....thoughtful composing and your idea of keeping it simple realy just wraps the song & the emotion up perfectly...I have always loved how strings really lift a ballad and carry it along in a big warm cloud....really enjoyed this one....well done you two......Ed
brillbilly
brillbilly replied 6th Nov 2012 - 13 years ago
Thank you Ed for understanding how this had to be minimal.!

I only made from what i feel i got from the vocals.

JJ's words set the tone and the rest i just fold around her, like MR F's beautiful strings.

I'm real happy this track has been understood for it's simple beauty.!

Thank you Ed!
