About Me

Hello All! My name is Jonathan Y. Begay. I am from Page, AZ, and a member of the Navajo Tribe. Allow me to extend my appreciations to you for taking the time to read my biography and taking an interest to know my musical abilities. As many Native American artists have share stories about where they started in their careers, I am proud to say that music was born with me. I started at a young age by creating music with any materials surrounding me. My interest grew more and more with every family outing to church services when I was young. It was so appealing to me and led me to construct an instrument out of 2x4 lumber and rubber bands around the age of 5. At that point my journey begun and my mother knew where my direction would turn to and I believe that is where I am to this day.
