I really like this - curious what others might do with remixing - but to my ears very well mixed - nice beats, melodies and structure - warm and maintains interests. Look forward to hearing any collaborative efforts
Great production sound, vocal performance and rap - outstanding how excellent (so professional sounding) so many of the people on Looperman are ... makes me think someone ought to pitch a looperman radio show where the tracks like these are showcased - thank you tsochai
Sweet - all the sounds (samples or vst instruments) fit together nicely - I wasnt so sure about the bass as the everything else - but I get it - it's that kind of off beat bass line that gives it the hip-hop vibe which is what you are going for
Thats a bit of fun - to my ears there is a tiny hint of flamenco and castanets along with that beat and some more classic hip hop melody and production sounds - it's quite engaging - well done
Wow Wow Wow - this is so smooth and beautiful - this the 3rd track of yours Ive heard and Im going to slowly work my way through your catalogue - really nice - thanks
Nice track - somehow I missed this - some of those transitions as not quite as smooth as others but at least (unlike some of my own efforts) there are transitions and I think you have a really nice production/ sound
Many thanks for listening and comment...ah, those damn transitions...tell you what...they're mostly deliberately made that way (non-smooth) to better fit the subject matter of the track...:)
I own everything Bowie ever recorded so I'm familiar with the sound track you're referring to. I saw the film as well. THank you for the comparison. It's a high compliment to me. The Choir is a free VST called Virgin Choir. I ran it through a plugin called the orb to treat the vowel sound & reverb. THe vocal synth Exhale by Output is on this track as well. Exhale is an incredible tool if your work is atmospheric, ambient oriented or dark. The possibilities for that Synth are endless. THanks for listening. I appreciate it.
Smiling - really good AGAIN - almost sounds like it's going to take off into a fresh tune at the end there - would be an excellent intro but stands alone too
Always like the accent - many friends that side of the ditch
The sound is cool and Ive listened to some other track of yours which are great - but this one (to my not so perfect ears -that is - I am a bit tone deaf so could be wrong) I think is off key from about 20 seconds in ... not just some warping for effect and then snapping back. Tell me Im dreaming and or maybe I dont get it
Hello and thanks for checking out the sounds, first and foremost- I appreciate this feedback as well, because quite honestly, what youre hearing could very well be as you stated. I myself have sustained hearing damage (from the military) and that paired with not reading music, may be doing a number on my melodies lol. I do everything by ear in terms of notes, pitches etc. so i might be nose diving into stretches of flat and/or out of key measures. I will say though that part of my theory does experiment with melodic progressions that could be pinned for being out of tune, depending on the listener. I like to keep the progression at a broad spectrum, and then question what works and what doesnt after that. For this jam i took a sample, split it in half and into two different channels. Then i doubled or cut in half (because i did do both) the speeds of the samples against the original speed of the complimentary samples. Then i swapped the original speed channel to do the same with it. I think the sample slowed down also gives it an adjusted tone that pushes the envelope on being in tune. The raw samples by themselves i never in a million years would have thought to purposely match up btw- starkly different pieces of music in tone and emotion that just happened to please my ear when played together. I hope this makes sense, and thank you again for listening enough to help me better understand my style or lack thereof lmao

For some reason got me think of Frank Zappa : )
You're not the first to mention Zappa.
I guess all the Zappa I listened to in the 70's
is coming back to haunt me.
Thank you for your listen and comments; especially
the Zappa part, He's one of my all time faves.
