on Special like a Unicorn by DubTek
Hey dubby I'm BACK.
How are ya.?
Well I don't know about the heaviest dubstep but it's a hellova great song. I love the intro and ending. Yeh it's a kind of complicated dark carnival. It sounds like an environment they grow shrums in. Anyway very cool song let me go listen to it again

on Loving You - Remix of Easy by Mat Zo n Robinson by SeriouslyJoking
again it's a very good song. I agree the acustic piano is a little loud in places especially next to the vocal. And or maybe bring the vocal up a little louder in the mix??? It's all relative. But beside those tweeks it's a totally cool song. say where did you get the vocals???

SeriouslyJoking replied 12th Oct 2013 - 11 years ago
Hi Edzwood!
The vocal is from here, uploaded by Gezus: http://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/5256 but I'm not sure who the vocalist really is. It's supposed to be a sample from an older song :http://www.whosampled.com/sample/193791/Mat-Zo-Porter-Robinson-Easy-Colourblind-Nothing-Better/

Anyway - thanks for listening and for the advice!!!

on Pieces Ft Devyn Rose REMIX by SeriouslyJoking
Hi it's me again. Your English is fine. Yes it's very hard to master with a Daw. what I recommend is mix down to wave or aiff file an good but kind of neutral mix. than purchase a mastering program to pump up the mix.
If you go to :
http://vst-club.com/vst-plug-ins-c-119.html
you can get IZotope Ozone Advanced 5.0 or other mastering tools . It's only $15 so it's an amazing deal
Kate Bush http://www.katebush.com/home
Keep it up it's a great song in need of a little dressing up. Keep me posted

Hi you again!!
Well, that is actually an affordable price so I will take a look at that alternative. Thank you SO MUCH for taking your time with this track!
And I already love Kate Bush! ;)

Take care.

on Pieces Ft Devyn Rose REMIX by SeriouslyJoking
I was just wondering about modest tweeks. One thought is less reverb on the vocal and maybe a little too much limiting on the overall master???????????. What did you use to master it?
SeriouslyJoking
SeriouslyJoking replied 11th Sep 2013 - 12 years ago
OK - yeah, I tend to overly use the reverb on the vocals. And I used A LOT of some kind of limiting (with EQ somehow..) on the both drumloops.
It's mastered only in FL 10 so there is a lot to do I guess, to get it right.
I'm really in the beginning here in every way, trying to learn how to use that DAW. And I should get some other mastering...stuff to make the mastering in. Gaaah - my English - sorry it's hard to explain! =)

SeriouslyJoking replied 10th Sep 2013 - 12 years ago
She sounds a lot like Kate Bush now that you mention it. I was looking for a link to her webpage so you could listen to her some more and discovered that she really is going places already:http://www.devynrose.com/

WOW I just LOVED THIS SONG. Some tweeking in the mastering???
SeriouslyJoking
SeriouslyJoking replied 10th Sep 2013 - 12 years ago
REALLY?!
You just made my day - Thank you!!
I wasn't sure of anything anymore, is it really bad or what's wrong with it, people are listening and noone is commenting. And I still loved the song myself - a very strange situation. Lol

Do you mean that it needs tweeking or if there is tweeking already? Well - my answer is that I tried to master it and used some effects which sort of worked...not so good. So will have to continue mastering and even remixing a bit later on.

Hey Dave I'm back again. I picked this song to give feedback as I liked it and this genre of music. The song moves along smoothly and gracefully. Nice melodic touches interspersed between the vocal. The Voc fits perfect for the mood of the song. Nice break at about 3:30. The song really holds together structuraly. Cool ending . It's all good here. Only production advice you might want to try a little limiting of your master I don't know you'd have to try. Overall Really nice melodic upbeat song

I really like this crazy song. It's like a cross between dick tracey cartoon and the inside of Dexter's mind on speed. Anybody know what I mean??? Any way It's hard to do such a dissonant & edgy DNB groove and make it into a good song. You hit the right balance between chaos and order in this.s dark & crazy nugget GREAT JOB!

Nice Nice job. I really like this song very unique dubstep effort here. Are you really gonna end this song this way???? VERY CHEEKISH BUT TOTALLY COOL. I really like the sound palet in this song. Strong but sparse arrangement very good too. my only constructive crit. Maybe change up the drums a little more, take out snare or bass. Kind of vary the drums up to fit some of the melody changes kind of sparser drum in places?????. But overal Great Job! I listened 3 times still like it a ton

Nice Intro crazy. nice aggressive feel. i like when you bring in the bass. dark ass groove spooky. Very nicely structured song. I got a little distracted in the 2nd third. Is the song a little long or is it me?

Nice intro and build up into really cool melodic hook.
Than you just keep layering other cool stuff (vocals).
Nice break down than you take us home with the hook and vocal. really nicely constructed song. You used Acid or something similar? Anyway it's just a great feeling head bopping little gem a mellow and positive groove through and through.

Hey Dubby
hope you don't mind me contacting you through track listing it seems to work best.
Well i posted this wobble bass for you to listen too.
Remember when you told me:
" make the drop harder... if youlower the it by like 2db or so just before the drop you get a really punchy effect makes the drop a bit more dynamic." This loop strikes me as very much missing dat punch. can you instruct me as to how to get this up to speed? Thanks in advance

Hey D. We don't care what software you use. It's all good as long as it sounds good. And this one is a really cool song. Very melancholy and moveing. a very emotionally felt song. More later. Your fighting through the computer problems in fine form keep it up!
