on as nothing happend by thyroid
Very variant and cinematic rooted piece thyroid. only thing i heard that was a problem was by in the 1:48 the choir ended too soon and the track took a alternate turn. i like this. i also hear a familiar sound in hear from a certain refill in reason that i've used as well. but i could be mistaken. anyways, overall the track is solid. i just think some of the lingering of the strings from that first breakdown was a little long and you could of maybe expanded on those nice keys. and i like the fx too, from here right? i've heard it before. good work. peace

thanks for listenening and this comment. Your comment about the choir at 1.48 is spot on i have doubted to play the choir longer, but chose for the short way, the comment about the strings in the first break is also a point of doubt that i had in this track, i can allways learn and try things out, thank you very much for this.
I didn't work with reason fills, maby it is similar to the fill, it is possible. And the fx you heard, that is correct that is from the site, it is a fx that i made myself, you can find on my loops page. I appreciated you took the time, and you like this track.
Stay safe

Same place as all my other rediculously short tracks: In my head. I wanna get some decent string sounds, samples don't seem to do the trick, and I'm yet to find an affordable VST with a realistic sound.

But I'll get there eventually.

Thanks for the review!

on Ambient Hip Hop (Beat) by DyeVerse
That falling dunning donen thing was a sound i used in one of my tracks i called cross. heh ironic. you must have used reason to make this, this is nice though man, a couple of things could be expanded, maybe some variants in the strings and one extra sound. something suttle. and i spit on that beat that i liked from you, that wiz type beat. i dunno if you got my message but i left a whole 3rd verse open for you, and i already gotta hook. if you still wanna lay a verse down, hit me up.

Alright i might send it by tommorow, just been busy with school, until then, you can expect it.

on An Overwhelming Intrepid Force of Insanity by CrashTheSystem
Very unique ambient-ness gabe. one thing that bothered me through these nice studio headphones of mine, is that lead pad is a slight bit loud. it could be turned down a tad. or a trick i just recently learned. duplicate the pad and pan one all the way hard right and the other hard left. and turn the volume down a little. it'll give a smooth wide effect, it sounds really nice. other than that, alotta suspense in this building to something sinister i would believe. nice job man!

on This Short Life by Planetjazzbass
Very soothing yet aggressive track all in one cohesive mix. the lead synth sounds as if it is screaming in pain but yet sounds like triumph to one's soul. the guitar represents life in all it's quick occurrence at the speed of a thought. the drum forever beats and lingers only to one day stop beating and die out. this is a perfect representation of life itself jazz, especially with the minor sound fx in the background towards the end. excellent job. peace

Sorry for the late reply to your great review Neo!..if there was a way to spontaneously create music in real life situations without lugging instruments around like a "Life" sound track it would be very interesting..cheers mate ,I shall be visiting your profile page shortly! Dave

on Winters Theme by JWilson
This is a good track J, but i think the drums have a little bit too much compression from what i'm hearing. try a ratio of 4:1 and boost the highs a little with maybe almost a frequency of 8 kHz and a narrow q(if they have a q knob in what you compose on). and sometimes (if you use reason at all) i'll choose 3 different snares in the redrum and have them hit at the same time to give a sort of layer to them and flesh out the snare volume overall. other than that, the drum line was my only problem. love the synths and all the other representations of winter on here. peace.

on Youre A Hoe and You Dont Know by FinesseNV
LMFAO. this kills any fronting female in tha club asap lol the only thing i'd work on is the mixing of the vocals, it could be clearer. try some parametic eq, and raise some highs with a thin layer of reverb to liven them up. good job though.

on First by Estix
I dont know what the guy below is hearing harmonically, but i don't think there should be much harmonic content in this track. it spews a never ending ambience to it, so in result, lingers and doesnt flow but yet speaks a strange language from within you. so i think it sounds good enough with it lingering besides harmonically/symphonically carrying itself throughout. this also reminds me of a bit of shadow hearts soundtrack. it's a great dark rpg that i think you should check out. anyways, i like this so much, i'm going to download it. great job man.

p.s. i re edited that battle on the grid track. see how you like it now.

Thanks for this man. I had completely left this track laying there. After your comment, I decided to listen to it again, and it feels actually real nice when I just want to drift away. I also listened to the slightly updated WIP regarding this track and I didn't like the added effects that I put in.

About Shadow Hearts, it seems like the first game wasn't that well received, but the 2nd one seems like it may be worth a purchase. It's been added to "the games I will eventually play" list, that is already cluttered with things I actually have, so it's a long-term project!

on Prisoner by LeftArmy
This is nice, but i've heard similar cinematic tracks with a slight touch of a hip hop snare or vinyl scratch like you have. it kind of mixes up the cinematic feel of it, and for a moment i thought someone was going to rap. especially with the initial hi hat. nonetheless this is a nice piece, and i like the ambient vox of the imprisoned man or maybe woman. i think you could add more to this, maybe a piano variation and a suttle lingering string. just a suggestion though. nice track.

on A Little Patience by JohnnyHunter
Very deep piece man. i sense alotta imagery in this. it also has a sort of sad depressive feel to it and a "patience is a virtue" theme to it. and the mix sounds about right, this is a classical piece, and their mostly made to be suttle and peaceful. although just a tad touch of eq could flesh the piano out more and a side of reverb could liven it up. just a tad though. not too much. regardless you when my vote for best classical piece i've heard.

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to listen and to write a very constuctive comment :) I agree, the piano is a bit harsh. I will work on it some point soon to pollish it off! I did feel a bit down when writing it, was a little tipsy too! I will try some reverb on the piano. Thanks again!

on Space whales and plankton universe by ALXSIX
This is a nice track ALX. my only problem is which i also forget to mention on your other track is the mix seems a little loud. the intro part to this has a wide amount of bass frequencies i think should be turned down just a tad. however it could be maybe you didnt pan enough to give breath to the other underlying pad so its kind of struggling to be clear and indistinct. nonetheless this is ethereal sanctuary and a pure ambient listen for sure. nice one

Bane
ALXSIX
ALXSIX replied Unknown
The intro is meant to be a bit unclear and noisy and I always try to mix things with all channels below normal volume. But I'll give it a relisten with what you've said in mind.
Appreciate the feedback Bane, peace.

on The Journey Of Lonely by DJFredrick
Nice one man, i dont know if i ever wrote you any imagery on your old tracks on my old account, but anyways here goes, typing while listening. i sense a clashing cascade of emotions that begin suttle but then infuse themself with dramatic feelings and tensions rise slightly again only to be soothed by the calming voice of what seems to be almost an angel singing a choir. But yet the one listening to this angels voice begins wonder who it's listening to, and singing such a heavenly rhythm. the person then realizes where their hearing this soothing rhythm coming from within, and the person opens their mouth and suddenly sings that soothing rhythm....

on Back to Yesterday by truegrit
One more review from me brudda along with some imagery.(typing while listening here) i capture a suttle atmosphere in the beginning and then transforms into a battle of hardships and then calms down to heal wounded tensions and emotions and then the people who endured the pains of the battle begin to reminis on past peaceful times and then a horrible interruption ensews those people who just finish their battle to be confronted with yet another hardship....

Hi Bane,
Thanks again, for your nice comments on Eastern Promise,I used some nice string Loops on this track which I bought over Xmas, done in a studio in Manchester U.K all done live in the studio there. I think you will agree, that they are pretty good.
I played the Cello part and French Horn on there using the Vita Synth which is in the Magix Software of my setup here.I decided to put in a Disco Beat, to make it Different and it seems to fit O.K. I think this track has been downloaded 15 times since I uploaded it on 30/12/10.
I much appreciate your reviews of my tracks and the feedback which you send.
Thanks again.

Incredible man what do you use to master? or is that the default quality of the loops you used? because their live and full. i can hear this in alot of rpgs. this magix maker program sounds pretty good. i personally use reason and do my mix their as well, but from there the mastering process is a forever mystery to me, luckily im in school for this. once again a grand show of cinematic richness and dominance. lol good imagery here.

Hi Blane,
thanks again, for another nice Review, regarding my mixing, the Mixer and Processing are all built into the Magix software and I spend a lot of time Processing to what I feel happy with. The Magix programme is from Germany and after using Ableton live and Cubase VST in the past, I think that this program is very good for the music I like doing and it is very good price wise .
Thanks again.

This has more potential to be expanded upon, but the snap kind of kills the genre, and gives it more dark hip hop feel. maybe expand the choir, add some variation, and change up the piano it'll sound more cinematic. but regardless, this has potential, you should just build upon it.

People are underrating the cinematic genre vastly, it can potentially be any type genre it wants while keeping its own indistinct sound. very nice track, and the mixing is on point, everything sounds panned out and carefully placed in its own spot. once again, very nice.
