Well - certainly not bad for a first attempt. You have a good idea of structure and harmonics as the lead theme is nice together with the beats. I reckon if you were to add some pads and a kick-drum you'd get even more attnetion. Also, it may be an idea to keep an eye on your 'mixing-down' as the drums tend to go off the low end frequency a bit plus if you can reverb-space the other parts this would be fantastic. Keep up the good practice. Greetz, --Davey--
Very interesting track using a range of novel musical ideas and instruments used. I think I'd describe this as more fusion than funk. The whole song takes the listener on a journey - very contemporary yet has a commercial quality. I must admit, the sax loop is cool when it kicks in, too as well as the electric guitar. You know, this song would fit so well as a soundtrack piece for use in a TV documentary or something similar as the whole set-up is perfectly taylored for this. Very good tune, bruv! Peace & Greetz, --Davey--
Thanks for listening & commenting I think you're right about the genre, I normally do Jazz / Fusion which you probably picked up on in the music.
Thanks,
Jamie.
OMG - this is pure D&B m****r-f*****g chaos, man. I love the dimished 6th key signature and that wicked detuned phat bass too. Cool ideas. Maybe could have been a bit longer. Nice though, Greetz, --Davey--
Now for some reason this reminds me of Rotterdam Termination Source a.k.a. Human Resource of the early 90's - remember the minimalist anthem 'Poing' during this era as well. You've got some novel ideas here with the strange FM lead synth hooks and spliced sample elements plus the FX are a boon too. Perhaps I may have worked a little more around the interesting 'pop-pup-pop-pup' theme as that made the overall track quite danceable and interesting. Greetz, --Davey--
I can see you've attained a lot of attention with this one and I must admit that melodically this is a very sound production. Lead arps and those fantastic trance pads have been created well against a pretty solid bassline. However I wasn't quite so keen on the distorted nature of the HP filtered stab lead hooks which doesn't quite sound right against the clean nature of the other elements. This of course maybe just down to preference. Anyway if you could get just a little bit more of a sub-bass going on, I reckon your could make this song into an awesome gem indeed. Peace & Greetz, --Davey-- x
A good clear production and what I'd describe as IDM or new-age trancetronica - has a bit of Jah Wobble in it too. Some fairly sound ideas here with the arps and rez pads which perhaps could have been a little more forward in the mix i.m.o. Short-ish although good to listen to. Greetz, --Davey--
Alternative and different - definately a mixture of chip 32 and house/glitch. Some novel ideas with regards to melody and bass hooks and all-in-all quite an unorthodox structure. b.t.w. I really like those filtered pads after 4:30 and that yelling sample is kinda funny too. Maybe needs a bit more work to get you uber attention but what I hear is quite interesting to listen to. Keep the work up! Greetz, --Davey--
Thanks man! Yes i really dont know how this one came together. a mix of the weirdest things i have done. The structure needs some work for sure. Not really sure what yet, but ill keep dabbling with it. cheers again!
Some pretty cool ideas with the set-up and arrangements here and an interesting progression through-out. I'd agree with Spivkurl about the break in that the string pads are fantastic - in fact that section sounds very soundtrack-ish indeed. Some of the melodies are a little to 'staccato' for my liking but the overall track has promise for sure. Peace & Respect, --Davey--
Well - this is a dark track man and I really dig the use of the Quake IV game samples here - very cool. Like the FM hi-pass filtered pads as well as the dubby percussion - all this adds to the mysterious and suspense of the song! Perhaps I may've added some LFO envelope to the 4 note low lead ostenato that plays after around 3:30. But, nice track indeed, bruv! --Davey--
Whoa - that is some hardstyle tune, man! Very alternative variations to say the least and when that over-driven bass kicks in....well - the track is just totally crazy. Very interesting indeed. Greetz, --Davey--
Quite solid beats, bassline and melody here so a pretty danceable track plus I like the change of kick-drum towards the end. I think I'd have gone for more melodic variation, added a break maybe and some pads in order to generate extra attention. Greetz, --Davey--
I think you have some good ideas with regards to vocal manipulations and general track theme using a hard sine kick and detuned rave pads. However, I do feel that the overall substance needs to be stronger. Now this may be just my personal preference but I may have incorporated some manic prodigy style hard d&b percussion and had some detuned rave stabs along the way, if for no other reason than to give this track that real 'Wow! factor. Plus I think it would be cool to vary the bassline with another exciting section of Phat enveloped LFO hooks just to keep the listeners on their toes, so to speak. I think this track has some promise but if you went for a re-version with more variants as described above you'd get yourself a whole load of attention for sure. Thanks for sharing, Greetz, --Davey--
Nice set-up with the beat and phat bassline, also some innovative splicing with the soundbite vocals. Could have done with a bit more on the melody side I reckon. Quite nice though. Greetz, --Davey--
What can I say - you've produced a track with some really cool ideas and variations. The mamba beats give the song a tribal feel while the FM arps and pads maintain a kinda goa-ish link to the overall theme. Perhaps the mastering could have been tweaked a little in a few places, if anything than give you extra attention: If you reduced the resonance or q factor from the main lead synth and/or used a greater depth of reverb space you'd get a fantastic trippy feel while letting the other elements breathe more. Just a thought really as others may not feel the same about this. Good track anyway. Greetz, --Davey--
Interesting crossover of genres here ranging from minimal beat to electro to progressive trance. Probably needs that little something to make it really shine but a solid and clear set-up none-the-less. --Davey--
Wow - frenetic and fast paced d&b track with a cool bassline and phat rez pads. This can definately be expanded on as you have some pretty sound ideas already. How about adding some old-skool paranoia in the jungle detuned lead synth loops as I reckon that would make a full version sound ultra cool.:) --Davey--
Chhers geeza for review, yeah definatley gonna fuel inject this tune, have tbh tho, most of loops on here i downloaded from other users, yeah agree with more synths need to be added. will update it very soon.
Very clear production and mix - all elements are nicely spaced apart and EQ'd well. Pretty good progression into the main synth lead theme and although prog. trance isn't my most preferred genre, this track has good musical qualities. --Davey--
Some great progression with this retro synth dance number - reminds me of those analogue 80's synth days. Good ideas with the main looped theme and arped bass and vocal glitches. However during the middle the mix does get a little distorted as there's a lot going on and I feel the elements need to be separated a bit more (don't worry, I have a bit of a bad habit of doing that too sometimes!). I love the old-skool Adamski style techno FM synth loops later on as this track turns really cool by then! Innovative use of the police siren. This track definitely has promise. Greetz, --Davey--
Thanks man Yeah I was trying to get the song to climax before I broke it back down... You are right though I need to do something in the transition once it's mastered it will sound better as well. Thanks for listening
You've got a very clear mix and production here but I don't know whether it's just me, but all I seem to be hearing are the same 4 bars looped over and over and over again... --Davey--
I'd call this track 'folk-house' as it has quite a Magyar-Slavic traditional folk theme about them - although Sombrero is mentioned in the track title making me think this may be more a Latin style of house. Good arrangements and ideas making this an interesting listen. Greetz, --Davey--
Hi Suicyde. Quite a nice basis for some lyrics to go over...Nice flanged pads and housey piano hooks which sound old-skool cool. Perhaps if you could make the piano loops a little louder in the mix although you have to EQ just right to prevent the annoying aliasing which happens with piano freqs - perhaps that's why the piano is quiet in the mix? Anyway, all pretty good. Greetz, --Davey--
A very hard-limited track here! Nice bassline and very nice padwork here although I think I would have chosen a different lead synth out of preference - maybe more osc. sawtooth or something. Nice splicing work with the vocal sample too and the track on the whole has some danceable qualities. Cheerz, --Davey--
Very new-skool club-dance this one is. A hard-limited but very clear mix and the vocal splicing works really well here. As for a track name, how about, "Dis Beat Talks Dirty!" Greetz, --Davey--
I have to say you've got some fabulous ideas with this one: Great sub and FM synth loops, plus guitar sequences and all sorts of FX and glitches too. This track has an alternative industrial flavour and is definately a plus to listen too. If it's possible for you too clean up the mix a little you'd find yourself getting mountains of attention...I think if you could use some EQ on the beats as I reckon the 400hz freq needs to come down a little as it is clashing with the bassline and causing a few aliasing (distortion) issues. Best thing would be just to use your ear until the mix all sounds good. Nice work and keep 'em coming. --Davey--
hey man thanx very much for your opinion indeed is pretty important for me as well and absolutely you are totally right about the sound actually this one have loads of low frequencies
actually i realized about this issue since the day i started to prepare the track for a live gig and i listened the difference between the eq version and this one
i really appreciate your observation and keep making excellent sounds yourself too
