on Echos from a past life by AstralRaven
Definitely sounds like it would be industrial or techno. Makes me think of a rave. I like the beat and I think this piece has potential. Nice job!
AstralRaven
AstralRaven replied Unknown
Thanks for your review. Yeah i thought it should be classed as industrial, it's strange though because i don't really listen to industrial music. I had a Marilyn Manson album (Antichrist superstar) when i was a kid that i think could be classed as industrial mind...

on Loungin Feat Tre P by J1K
Nice, I guess you are the one writing the beats and Tre P raps in this. I like the concept-jazz with hip-hop beat and I def like this one. The lyrics sound cool but I'd have to read them (or listen some more) to get everything that's said. That goes with a lot of good hip hop songs. Nice job!

on Hip-Hop Collab by SkeetzBeatz
Really like the keyboard. The beat goes good with it too. Should listen too it with my subwolfers so I can get the whole effect. All it needs is lyrics. Nice work!

on TIME TO SAY GOODBYE by LGT
I liked the ideas you have here: The base beat with the synth. Also, I feel that the rapping with the singing puts the song on a higher level that just rapping and singing alone. Wonder what this would sound like with even deeper base though while keeping everything else the same. Good work, this made me want to go write some music!

on I FOLLOW THE DAY by CalifKen
Nice original style you got going here. Definitely curious to know how you did these vocal effects. It almost sounds like you put them though a keyboard and played them on different notes with effects. Also, the part where the bass comes in sounds cool too! Keep up the good work!
CalifKen
CalifKen replied Unknown
:D Vocal effects: The vox for the "eeweww I follow the day...." part is sidechained into 2 separate instruments. One of them is Logic Evoc 20 Polysynth which has a setting "Clear voice vocoder". So that's the consistent sound through it. The other one which ends up being the higher weirder kind of gaspy sounds through it is a Juno Bass synth with Logic's Evoc 20 Track Oscillator effect on it, set to Speech and Voice #1. Hence yes you are correct different notes going on with each instrument.

Thanks for the review!! cK

This really does not strike me as metal; however, pretty good guitar and vocals. Overall, I thought it flowed nicely even though I don't understand the language. Nice work!

on Grey Raindrops Turn Blue by Nayhan
Is this you playing the piano? I like the sound of this track. The beats fit this nicely and I like what you did with the reverb at the end. Keep up the good work!
Nayhan
Nayhan replied Unknown
No, I doubt I would be able to play it on piano. I'm not sure what I did with the reverb at the end :S but I'm pretty happy with the final product. Thanks for your review SkullG :D!

This has some nice guitar riffs in it. Never really gets boring with the changes throughout. Very sincere lyrics and a lot of people prefer sincerity in lyrics.

on Apocalypse by Steinaa
Been listening to the new Avenged Sevenfold since it came out so I was in the mood to hear some guitar and came and found some of your work. Your definitely one of the best guitarists on this site and there's some good guitarists on here. Keep it up!
Steinaa
Steinaa replied Unknown
Oh, yeah. I've been listening alot to their new album too lately, but it didnt quite live up to the expectations I had.. Its good though, but not what I had in mind. Anyway - best guitarists? Sh*t man, I can name several guitarists thats better than me on the site, but I'll just grab that compliment and say thank you, haha. Thanks for the awesome review man - see you around :)

on 6 fears 7 cause 7 8 9 by AceZecA
Are these loops off this site? A little long but techno/electronic songs should be long. I really don't know what I would change in this. Keep up the good work!

AceZecA replied Unknown
Thanx for the support. No none of the loops i used in this one are from looperman. Some came from PLP, Vipzone, Digital DJs and various loop compilation librarys.

on B-Day by RonG251
I think this is catchy and I can see it evolving into a really good piece with added lyrics and then a new title based on what you come up with. Great work and Ill have to keep a look out to see where this one goes.

on BLACKLISTED End Transmission feat Final Outlaw by phantomhim
I think the lyrics sound good because its balanced out with a low base sound. A lot of lil wayne songs are like that, which is why I think they often sound dope. The lyrics sound good too. My only thought would be to maybe break the chorus up with another line after saying it three times but thats just something I would try. Good work!

I agree with you actually, that was what I told Final when he sent me this rough. Wether he changed it or not I don't know till I get the final version back.

Agreed tho. Nice one for taking the time fam, appreciate that.

This has a nice mix of high and low sounds. Curious where you get your subbase beats. Maybe this could go on a video game or be played in a club. Keep up the good work.

on (Untitled and Unfinished) - Need Help With It by NoisicRecords
I think it sounds cool. As far as the drums go, do you use single shot loops or are they loops of drum beats? Most of the drums I put into my songs are from single shot loops(snare-once, cymbol-once, etc) that way I can manipulate them more change them until I think they sound good. I almost always lay down the guitars first. I think the intro is good, and then the second part of the drums are good, but I agree, it sounds a little off just in the middle part, Ill bet though that fixing that part would make you like this track a lot more. Good work!

on This is the End by joshthedjentleman
Guitars sound good together. Do you play all instruments in this? Has a clever ending. Synths sound good too. I would put them all throughout the song. Nice work!
joshthedjentleman
joshthedjentleman replied Unknown
Thanks man, maybe it would be cool with synth parts throughout, but, anyways, I didn't do the drums, I downloaded a few parts from here on Looperman (under the metal drum loops section) and some I made on Beatcraft.

on Suffer by Sweetsoundmusic
I like how this one is sincere. Also, I don't hear a lot of rhyming at the ends of the lines but it still sounds good. Curious to see how you write you lyrics. Keep up the good work!
Sweetsoundmusic
Sweetsoundmusic replied Unknown
My style isn't always exact ryming as opposed to just abstract bars and rythyms--that's why alot of people say I am so different. I rather break up traditional formats and keep listeners who expect typical format and structure to be off guard. For me, the main concern is the theme, story line, and to talk about real things--without trash, cursing, and wasting ya time. Anyhow, it is a sincere songe for those who are going through something at the moment. Thanks for your succint comment. gf

on techno metal intro by projectjehobith
I think this would be a cool intro to a metal song. My thought is that it seems there are a million metal bands, a million techno bands, etc which is why I think its good to try and mix goneras sometimes. That's just my thought though. Curious to know where you got the vocal loops for this. Keep up the good work.

on Bloodletters and Badmen (Instrumental) by guitarjock
Nice. If I understand right, you are not using any loops. Cool. The guitars sound really good together and the beat is nice and simple. Keep up the good work!

Hello SkullG, Yup the only loops I am using are the drum tracks. I sometimes mix in extra beats and sometimes I will "cut" or "warp" the drum loops to may them different and make them fit different parts of my songs. I just recently got Ableton Live and it makes changing the part of the loop you use very easy. Anyway, I am glad you like the track. I hope to put up many more in the near future. I will check some of your stuff as soon as I get the chance, hopefully somtime this weekend. Thanks again and keep rockin!
