You know I would never have known this was separate pella if you hadn't mentioned it. Works perfect together. Organ is also a nice touch. Really enjoyed that solo at 2:10
You know, I just read what toastedavalanche had to say about your tendencies toward Texture over structure and other traditional traits.I really must say that statement just blew the door open for me regarding your music. It really makes a lot more sense now. I've always enjoyed your work, but in a very conflicted way, confused even at times; but I really think I get it a lot better now, thinking about it like that.
Sorry, I guess this isn't really a comment on this particular track, but rather a more broad thought train about your work. Once the thought hit me I felt I just had to mention it.
I think that I can accept the idea of my "tendencies toward texture" as a compliment, since I feel like I am in good company with that sort of music. Some of my favorite musicians, especially of the electronic sort, probably had the same things mentioned about them... people like Brian Eno, Cevin Key, Matt Johnson, and even maybe some of the more recent NIN/Trent Reznor work.
I am very fond, and also very sensitive to texture, probably partly due to my neurological issues. A good example is clothing and fabric in general. If I am shopping for clothing, the first thing I will do is rub the cloth between my fingers. Usually this is enough to notice any negative neurological reaction to the texture. Only if it passes this test will I even try it on. Sounds are similar to me, except I rub them between my ears... ha ha.
Thank you for taking a listen and leaving your words!
I like the bloops at 0:30, nice intro, catchy groove. I really like that you keep the bleeply synth going through the majority of the song. I feel like the kick could hit harder and the mix could be cleaned up a bit more, but its a good piece of work regardless!
Nice growls in the intro, those are well processed. Good punchy drums, not overly done still lets the growls push forward. little lasers nice touch, perfect vocal chopping. nice little break around 3:10. Also like the atmosphere when you bring in the metal/bells etc at 3:45. Only thing i can think of for improvement is working on the outro, to me it seem too sudden, everything just kind of stops without any sort of candace.
I have to agree with crucethus, the vocals arnt bad, but i honestly they could be better, but the track has a lot of good energy and i really like it! My only producer-chair suggestion would be to let the high end stand out a bit more, like the 3k to 8k range, but take that with a grain of salt! Sonds good! It's nice to hear this style back again.
This sounds very nice! the kick that comes in around 1:07 is a little harsh, maybe but the high-mids a bit, try to bury it behind the mix a little more. Definitely a different sound overall though, and a nice listen. Well done.
hey, thanks a lot for the comment and also the feedback
for the kick part, yea you're right and thanks, and also, yea when you share a track like this, you have to be ready to hear a lot of criticisms and thanks a lot for your opinion about this genre ;)

Sounds good, the highs and verb is mixed very nicely, and I like your excellent use of panning. However there doesn't seem to be much sub bass going on, plenty of that stereo bass but I think you need another layer to really move the sub more.
thanks a lot my friend for your comment
and also more for your feedback
yes you're right
the bass line is week in low volumes, but its super high in high volumes, and thats my fault :D
the main idea for this track for me, was to make the middle clean + one reverbed instrument, and fill the stereo sides with bass, lemme show you with a model :D
This is very nice, the mix sounds very well done, and musicaly is very pleasing. Some thoughts to take with a grain of salt - maybe try pushing the low end of the kick a tiny bit harder, it's punchy as is, but maybe a little more punch could be good, and maybe try hitting your limiter a little bit softer, it's very hard to be sure, but i think you might be comming into it a tiny bit hot, maybe set up a soft compressor before it in you master chain. But like i said, this is really nice, and take my advise with a grain of salt.
the kick can have more punch but don`t want any of it, i just cutted 25hz from the kick to be more softer.
yes i hear you about the limiter and with the overall mastering its not nice, but can`t make better, just some settings won`t work as i wanted to. This was one of my hardest mastering work so far.
Thanks for the feedback! Cheers!
I like the synth work, nice melody. Nice texture on the growls. However I think the vocals could be mixed better, try splitting the channels and doing some parallel processing, little bit of automation and verb/delay could really make them shine!
Thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate your tips and tricks to help produce better. I'll definitely remember to this for my next song! Thanks so much!
Sounds fantastic, mixdown sounds great, as i spend a lot of my times these days trying to learn how to mix, I'm particularly observant of it in what i listen to. However im not sure I agree with some of the vocal delivery, some of it feels out of time, almost as if the singer tried to cram more syllables into a bar then they had room for, but thats got nothing to do with the mix here.
Thanks man glad you enjoyed the tune, the vocals come from a Vsti, Native Instruments Ethno World, I had to slice them and do a slight repitch to get tuning continuity...cheers Dave :)
Oh yes i want more! awesome! very early 90's, sounds great! Was really hoping this was longer! please finish this track id love to hear a full version!
Yep, that was a very "goosebumply" week... chemicals dripping from the "clouds", woman screaming in pain on the ground, strange lights in the sky... you know the drill. Happy that you enjoyed the listen! Thank you for taking time to leave a comment!
Sounds great! Although the levels don't feel right, i understand it's a rough demo. I might suggest checking those volumes during the mix-down, and making the super-saw in the chorus hold it's notes i bit stronger, a bit less stuttering perhaps.
Hey I really like that guitar riff and filter you got going on, that drums are pretty thin, but, having no way to monitor, i guess that's to be expected. I'd like actually to play with the stems to this if you wouldn't mind. Also, depending where you are, if the shipping isnt too nuts, i have a pair of Shure 440 monitor headphones i could give/send you as i don't use them anymore. PM me if you interested.
