Intense, heavy, driving, melodic and wicked chord progressions. Well done!
One thought on the mixing though – in my opinion the rythm guitars are too high and the drums a bit low – epecially the snare drowns. Having said that – It's a really powerful track and well performed.

Ice cream and reggae – it can't be more summer than this! Love it.
What a wonderful way to present yourself and I can only say: Welcome to Looperman and keep your good music coming.
I totally love it – refreshing. Great blend of genres and a wicked guitar. Instant fav and dl.

p.s. Just curious: Did you use Garageband and the orange clone when you recorded? Oh, saw that I'm the first to review your first song here – Welcome to looperman.
Actually Im not sure what im recording on...I Write all the lyrics to a drum track then i take it to my band once a week and record in my buddies basement where getting a pretty nice sound id say...Thanks for looking...I have another but i think its better is it safe to upload on here meaning my work wont be stolen?
Magical in your own style. It's a very nice composition and production. It's been a while since I listen to your tunes and returning to one of your tracks, I'm amazed. I love the sustained sound of your guitar. Very slick and very beautifully played. A fav and DL.
I'm very glad you liked it. I have changed it a little bit since you first listened and it's not any shorter but I hope maybe a little bit better. Thanks for the nice words. -Ken
Hi.
Couldn't agree with you more, you've teamed up with to great musicians, Allen and I have done some work together and the man is amazingly skilled. And so are you, it is true pleasure to hear your soulful voice. The lead vocals is great and so is the background vocals. So thank you for this wonderful piece of music.

Woah, that raw introduction was totally amazing up to the 0:45 mark and the song worked ok up to 1:25, but then you lost me.
To me it turned out to be a showcase of your ideas – and they ARE really good – but still too many in one song.
I'm sorry if you think I'm blunt, but I think there's so much good stuff in this song that you easily could make two or three awesome tunes out of it.
Keep up the good work, you're a real talent.

thank you. i do appreciate you point of you. u're not blunt. :-). I would like to know how play guitar you know. it will be so much easier to creat rock music.but i like to use good stuff i found, edit and mix a track. ;-)
Even if I think this song would benefit from less panning back and forth – (in fact that's my only complaint) – it's a great arrangement really well performed, loved the backups. All in all nice work. Definately a pleasure.

K, Thanks for the props. You know I was thinking along the same lines in regard to that panning anomaly. I'll be sure to go back track a few generations and turn it down if not bypass it altogether. The unfortunate effect is called "Stereo Spread" in Logic 9. Though I did indeed try to temper it by keeping the effects percentage very low against the dry Mix, by the time I had rendered the multitrack file, compressed in the Mastering phase and finally deployed a version as an MP3 file, the effect was just jumping out in the mix. The 32 and 24bit Wave files are no where near this drowning depth. You are right on with your observation and when I can, I'll try to back track and see if I can remedy the weirdness. Your comments are very much appreciated. On with the motley. RG
Just wow, you did one of my all time favourite gabriel-tunes and turned to your own. Excellent engineering too.
One of the best versions. Period.

If there was no rain we'd have fewer things to write songs about. And that would be a pity. You've got a nice voice, made a nice song and performed it well. Good job.
/pmk
p.s. Tror du skulle få till en lite jämnare mix om du använde lite mer kompressor på rösten.
Thank you very much for your kind words. The rain has been heavy on my head but lately the sun's been shining so maybe that'll be the subject of my next song ;)
Kompressor? Jag är så underbart tekniskt (o)begåvad :D
Men jag ska försöka få till det.
Tack än en gång!

You wanted some suggestions – I can't think of any.
This is just fabulous – brings me back to the great era of progressive rock with bands like Yes, UK and Genesis. Instant fav and it goes strait into my iphone play list.
This song has great potential, love the sound, the keef touch on the rythm guitars and the bass rumbles nicely.
However, in my humble opinion the drumloop cut disturbs the cool pace – I think it would benefit if you cut it at even beats.

Really value your review Kikajon at the time my drum programming skills were and still are lacking. And I just had to get it down, maybe it's time to take it back and work on it again. Funny that each month goes by and I learn something new but I'm not going back and tweaking what I've done before. Thanks for the motivation dude
I am very flattered that you liked. Allen's guitar playing is precise and perfect in this song. thank you very much for everything, I am very grateful for your comments.
