ya know, Jamie, your music is a place where i can discard a lot of the baggage i carry around with me and that = treasure. a really great collab, your setting for the vox is better than a cool drink served in a coconut.
really digging the 09Aug2010 set of dark anbience/drone metals - the tracks really work well together, but here i've landed in the middle track as a fav - dunno if there was intention behind it but this one works like a pivot for me - great sounds + sensibilities
There is usually very little intention in any of my music making, I mostly just experiment and put samples through various VST plugins, trying to find something I like or find interesting.
hello Gord, man the instrumentation + arrangement on this is out of park. which wouldn't be saying much if not for the heart behind the sounds - makes me reflect on the price of understanding
this is really lovely and the the sax/flute thru-line is amazing sympathetic synthetic playing - only the choir sound is overbearing and fills up all the space where we might hear the guitar to better advantage as rythm comp to the drums

That was a special work to produce. All the instruments were palid separtively. I mixed the mafter. I wanted to mix intruments we don't use to listen playing together.
It's a try, but I enjoy finding a balanced way to associate all thes instruments.
I wanted the guitar very low. Maybe I 'll see if I change that in a moment.
In the future, some works will be made.
We don't get enough of this kinda club music - talk about brains on fire!!! - i love how how even all those fingers can't keep up with what yr throwing down - you're the fifth head - much applause from the peanut gallery
krazy kat! every time you get the stuck-ups p/f/laying the quote from fire on high i fall off the floor - this ranks up there with a vitamin b12 injection - thanks for the energy
StÃÂphane - remains a devastating track, the enhancements on the vox really serve the lyrics as well as the understated but smoldering music - here's to better roles, better souls, my friend
really digging yr gtr parts and sounds from them here - i guess the rythm section is intentionally droning mecha but it drags a great guitar song down - truly hope you keep playing with this track.
this track has some very interesting mirage-like qualities - it has an arid, desert feel even tho every second is full of events - it seems like the gtr parts are 10 feet tall when they really only last under 30 seconds - and i must add the belew 'references' are right on - the riddle of the sands?

Thanks for the listen Michael - I'm glad you liked it! It's no secret that I like the work of guys like Belew/Fripp etc (just look at my avatar) and over the years I have made a study of the way they play. I just couldn't resist playing a little "Elephantosity" on this track - it just seemed to fit!
very pastoral and intriguing - voices and basses work really well with a nice melting quality - only the harmonica is jarring - i think the juxtaposition is right on but could use some cutting or other technique/z to enhance the flow

Yes, I've to look at the harmonica, but at it's level. I'll look and listen many times to adjust the tempo. Concerning the jarring sound, I think it's right, but if I substract the bass, it's correct. In fact, it's rather the bass level I have to modify, certainly 1/4 tone up or down.

I agree with you. What is important for me in music holds in 2 points:
1) Pacling the pauses or silences at the right moment
2) To be able to break the music and to drive an other piece with a minimum of bad effects.
