not a producer, but from this listener's pov - this is really a lovely and flowing piece of music - the stitches or breaths (as opposed to cuts) add a perspective - without that really cool human touch this might sound more like a collage rather than a tapestry, which is what i'm hearing - much admired
well, whether the title begat the composition or vice versa, this is beautiful arrangement - it's smooth and easy to kick back with, but i always appreciate the inventiveness deeper listening reveals in your music. fav sound - the 'flute' trilling!!
I love how this deals with the theme - it's deep and serious and you gotta work a little to appreciate the real sweetness of it.
Suggestion? Maybe another drumline or percs entering in later to enhance the sense of two if that makes any sense... much respect
hello, blaze - energy = 11, but coax it out and cut it up and cook it - lots happening here and believe me i dig it unfiltered like that but hmmm - more play per pound and this is lifted - peace, respect
i think you've got a trilogy or a suite or something on yr hands here - this takes v1 into a dreamtime - and i'm dreaming a summation culmination what have you of these approaches... the two versions make statements that beg for resolution... keep going!! (gonging?) even if it has to be put up in parts...
hello, Jamie - loving the transcendant DNA / string twines (quadropines?) of the lead lines here - the percussive or gamelan line is really buried way in the mix - it would be great to hear that aspect developed a bit further...
gamelan fusion is mind- and spirit-bending stuff - ever hear any Lou Harrison from the 40's/50's?
Thanks for commenting Michael. I really like Lou Harrisons stuff which I'm fairly certain I was turned onto by you in a previous comment you made about him when reviewing one of my tracks - so many thanks for that!
At the moment this is just an experimental track and not fully thought out. I plan on having much longer tracks with the binaural less noticeable perhaps in the future. Not really sure I have the whole binaural thing down. Need to study it more. That's the fun of experimentation. Yes with ADHD, meditation and relaxation is much different for me. So are the ways to achieve it.
well i didn't kick in at the forum but i'll just say here that if you can find a way to tell her you express yourself best in your songs and manage to get her a link to your music then she'll know. all the best to you, Gord.
thanx bro. I appreciate it. I'm uploading the loops to the site. With the wealth of talent on this site I'm sure someone will come up with something great. Peace...........
don't think i heard the earlier version but i really lock in to that trumpet line - that's a great lyrical lead sound for this cool and wistful bumpy track
EDIT 07SEP2010 - Many thanks + respect for your reply to a set of unreasonably hot-headed comments, which never even touched on the fact that i really do like this track.
This was the wrong place to vent, and if it means anything, I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like a fool. I meant to retract that review and was chastened and gratified by your message.
I do think there are are rational and adult things to say about how we as a community make music and I hope we may have that disucussion in the appropriate forum and on the higher level that you have demonstrated.
Now, if I may add a suggestion, because the last you are is a rip-off artist:

I RE-VISIONED Celene Dions song Surrender and made it over from scratch with a up tempo beat.
Hey man I'm sorry if I came across the wrong way. After reading your comments I went back and looked at the track description and it does sound bad. Not tryna call down anyone. I came across this site while looking for sample loops and after being on it for a while I realized that so many guys like dusthill create thier own melodies and provide loops for people. It inspired me to stop using samples and create my own even if the inspiration comes from someone else's stuff. Didn't mean to offend honestly. Anyways point taken thanx for being str8 up.
impossibly fun - maybe irrepresible is the word i'm looking for if i cd only spell it - it rocks, it has that frampton between-the-teeth-thingy, it wahs, it chases a flock of segulls at the beach - a serious thanks for your wonderful soul music
this is an amazing sound, Jamie - crystaline, liquid, percussive, seamless and swimming. the wonderful play between the macro and micro of a good dive in blue water.
Thanks for the words Michael - I am just back from snorkelling the reefs of the Red Sea - The marine life is so rich and colourful I felt like I was in a Jaques Cousteau movie!
def a dark gem, A6 - i dig all the large and small objects being affected by the gravitational well and being pulled in at the end! bell sounds will get me everytime too. Einstein, Pavlov, ambient
