very welcome chill out - in the middle of a heat wave, has me following deer paths in the snows of northern michigan - not hunting, just tracking = beautiful and evocative music, the twining piano lines are especially great, amazing composition and arrangement - damn, ThomBook

on after the shock by Amperimetre
this is great music that's heightened by yr theme - i've talked to people who've been in bad crashes and this really captures their dreamy and second-by-second relation of the experience - v accurate and i hope it remains an act of the imagination
Amperimetre

MStokes hello, thanks for your comment. Itself is an exercise in imagination with real substance. Who has not experienced some extreme situation? loss of a loved one, a lover who ceases to be, an accident ... in such situations there is a moment that you are inside and outside at once. Viewing events happen (or flow) at two different times. I think the harder the more experience-emphasized is the effect.
Sorry for my vocabulary, I do what I can.
a.d:Very interesting that you mention have talked to people who have suffered accidents

Thank you so much for the kind review. This song is actually one of my favourites, I wrote the lyrics about my daughter Saga sitting on a wooden bench as we were waiting for the bus home. I do love her. Thanks again for the kind words, Michael.

on DFI - Withdrawal by SGN
listened to the DFI 15Jul2011 as a set - dunno yr intent but to this listener it is an amazing album - i listened from top to bottom so the impression is of a distant 'object' approaching with a great culminating impact. deep listening fav applies to all - and even if you didn't mean these tracks to be heard in series, lemme tell you they work - an intense and beautiful set

You're too kind, MStokes. Thank you very, very much for the listen and the insightful review. I didn't intend this to be heard as an album or EP, but "Waves Of Grey", "Wilderness" and "Withdrawal" (just noticed all start with a W) were all definitely cut from the same cloth with the intention of invoking a certain mood and sustaining it. So yeah, I'd think of these 3 as an EP. I suppose 1992 fits in as well...a bit of brightness after all the grey. But "The Dentist"? Hmmm, actually yeah I think you're right. It could be easily fit in as the the last track.

Well, if I ever do commercially release my music, I'm coming to you for help in sequencing my tracks. I'll give you 10% of my total sales earnings, which will make you around 2 dollars richer. It's a deal you just can't refuse.

the lyrics took me to the catholic confession ritual, where one is placed in a small divided space spilling secrets to a screened-off personage who may either absolve or condemn you - it's scary sh^t, tried it a couple of times
