Many, many thanks indeed my friend. Glad you found something in this piece.

An almighty MStokes remix of Pat's track would be awesome in my opinion.

on Makin me blue featuring Patricia Edwards by RichieWinn
this has all the perfectionism of steely dan without the sterile after-effects of overproduction - ya pared this down to the most vital aspects of the song but left it breathing - that's masterclass, bro
RichieWinn
RichieWinn replied 7th Jul 2012 - 13 years ago
Hey MStokes

I am blown away with any reference to Steely Dan - thank you so much. I tried to keep this minimal and allow Patricia's vocal to shine through. Thanks for stopping by, listening and posting comments. Much appreciated.

on Crazy thing called Love Take 2 by SavaliDalisu
this is brilliant and needs to be heard - i did like the first mix better but this is as deeply motivational - here's my only crit - the vocals at the same level get on top of each other at some points instead of intertwining - my friend i am no professor and i wouldn't make a comment like that unless i cared for the track and artist i respect - and fully agree with - this is a hit!

This is incensed - taking it up in ever-increasing spirals - truly lifting - Twanna that is intense and stripped-down chanting against the electronic elements, and with Allen as your foil it is one complex and rewarding masterwork - crazy respects!

Thank you so much MStokes. It felt great to complete the track. I know now why I did not finish it years ago...AllenV. His artistry took the track to another level.

Again thank you so much for your appreciation.

fractimart
fractimart replied 27th Jun 2012 - 13 years ago
Thanks, MStokes. I wish I had more time for this stuff, but with the two kids and the software to write for HP, and all the domestic chores.... I had to check out Subotnick, though. I checked out Morton's website, and Jacob's Room. My four year old loved it. Had to watch the whole thing. Then we wrapped it up with Bach, Beethoven, Fisk, Zorn (Tre Nel 5000) and Ozzy and Ted Nugent. The kids (2 and 4) love their rock-and-roll, after all. Thanks for introducing me to Subotnick. There's a host of others I've missed over the years, I'm sure, and it's nice to "get to know" them. Always a pleasure to get compliments from "out there" from people. I love putting this stuff together when I can, and I greatly appreciate that people appreciate it!

never saw it like that, over sandbar or knoll, the tides push us all the same, these are tumultuous times, pulled together and apart half a dozen times, when will my capricious tide hold us together? something neither her or i can decide i guess. though fate has had its ways before...
