on ium - feat Reiko and JJWeekz by gomagn
very chilled, you worked the vocal into this nicely , would have liked the drums/percussion to be a bit more intricate but thats my opinion inly. great track, i really enjoyed it.

on jingle for unstoppable catastrophy by drmistersir
was expecting zombies to kick my door in when i listened to this ..
talk about atmospheric, the bass is a great driver for this, fuck the limiting( i hate too much )
not my normal cup of tea, but its been in my ears now, and my head is a better place for it.. good work dude.
drmistersir

there is actually a sub sonic pulse built into the hi frequencies that has been lab tested for repelling the undead, zombies vampires even jonny depp

i will not vouche for it's effectiveness

on Fashionable Time - Quant1ze by Eato
this is very good, lovely flow and exellent use of the vocal, my only tiny critic is the snare sound, but overall a wonderfull tune.

on Moombah 4 Mama by edzwood
i like the feel of this, especially the drums, (sounding nice and kraftwerky to me). the one thing i didnt like is the lead synth sound, seems a bit weedy and disjointed, and makes the track lose its flow a bit. having said that, it is my opinion and not necessarily right :)

on SECRETS by edzwood
wow, if this is the last track posted in this group, then we`ve ended on a high
i absolutely love this, it sounds like a lot of effort, but also a lot of fun went into making this, one of the few tracks i`ve faved, a refreshing change. proper electronic music, (the sort with noises that conventional musicians don`t like ) lol.. top of the class :)

on Not enough victories by roblobloman
i`ve always had a soft spot for that chord sound at the start, the arps are great and the whole thing moves along nicely, just on the edge of being repetitive, which is how i like it:) nice job.

i usually give dubstep a miss, but the title drew me in and i thought this was great, interesting and the whistle was clever
nice one.

on Dont ask me to stay - GG and JJ by ggarris
oh my. there was a few bars at the start where i thought this was just gonna be another..girl with a synth.. type track, but how wrong i was :) there are some really interesting parts to this and i love the ending, you made the hard parts sound easy, well done, give yourself a biscuit :)

been listening to your morra stuff on the cloud, as my Soletik account, gotta say ,if anyone is going places its you, your voice is excellent, just needs to be some justice in the world and its your oyster. keep smilin :)

oasisduke replied 16th Dec 2012 - 13 years ago
i cant begin to explain what your kind words mean to me. it has been a humbling transition from producer to vocalist/lyricist...there has been a lot of doubt involved.
when people who are making some really good stuff tell me i am going places, however, a small piece of the doubt mound breaks off and floats away.
im so very grateful for your continued support. i adore that you enjoy what you hear.
a thousand thank yous...

on Dec - Your hand mr Burke by Decnet
this is a lovely piece, sadly let down by the kick, i think maybe softer, glitchier type drums would have really complemented the music that should be glowing, but is knocked back by the odd sound of the kick, sort that out and you have a really great creation.
Decnet
Decnet replied 15th Dec 2012 - 13 years ago
Glad you liked the tune and i dont know if ive excused myself enough for the kick in this case that is intended to be used as beattracker when i freeplay, and unfortunetly un-extracted when i finalized it. I did not listen to the upload here on looperman and i was sitting on a plance started to read the replies from the reviews and wondered "whot the heck are these fellows talking about??"

anyways... glad you liked the rest of it lol...

on Take it back - Dec by Decnet
i relly like this, its a rewarding journey with just enough to stop it being repetitive (but i dont like anything that doesnt alter partly every 8 bars lol)and if you were struggling with that kind of latency its even more praise worthy !!
Decnet
Decnet replied 4th Dec 2012 - 13 years ago
That has to be one of my main problems.. Both good and bad i suppose, When creating tunes i always start out creating a loop that sounds aweseom in my ears and to quote Brillbailey in a previous review "I wrapp the rest of the music around the loop". By doing this there is always at least "one sound" or "loop" that follows through the entire tune, making it (if you concentrate on that specific sound) repetetive, BUT at the same time trying to alter it all by using sounds that steals the attention of the main loop..

aaah.. sounds like blabbering jibberish but you are probobly an intelligent being and knows exactly what im talking about.. lol.. anyways.. Thanks for the comment!

on LET GO featuring NATE MONOXIDE by edzwood
i hate to join in the (constructive) criticism, but i was really enjoying this at the start, but the lead synth and vocal are so out, i`m amazed it passed you by.
Apart from that its got a nice groove and shows a lot of potential to be developed into a great track, don`t give up on it, strip it back down and try a frsh approach, theres beauty inside it. Simon.

Thanks for the constructive crit. And for delivering it in a thoughtful supportive way. SORRY ABOUT THE PACKAGED RESPONSE but since all opinions are about the same I figured one response is in order. Here's the deal for me on this song. It's my first attempt at remixing from a very long acepella. i've put in HUDGE hrs and it's still obviously not right. I'm using ACID I beatmaped all tracks to 128 bpm. so can anybody explain to me how to get it right. I'm not musically trained so I'm obviously missing something. In short HELP!
