This is really awesome your drop is really hitting hard, but it's a bit loud for me I think you need to put sidechain aswell but overall it's a damn banger.
Thank you; feedback like this is greatly appreciated! Go ahead, if you want, and check out the creators of the loops behind the song. Anyway, sidechaining is always one of the first things I set up, but I made it more subtle for this track since dubstep drum beats tend to have a lot of kick 'action', so having too strong of a sidechain can sound a bit strange, if you get where I'm coming from. However, I do wholeheartedly agree with your first criticism. I might, at some point, go back and fiddle around with the master track to make the limiter less prominent.
Hey Xen0s i really like your intro and your chord progression but I think the problem here is the buildup part at 0:36 your melody is blocking your drums you need to put sidechain in that part including your drop but I really like your melodic drop tho. anyways this is a real banger. Peace out
Thanks so much for pointing that out. In all honesty, I wasn't too pleased with the percussive aspect of the buildup in any case, so I see your point. If I went back to edit this track, there'd definitely be a bunch of stuff I'd change, like giving the buildup snare a more prominent transient, pushing everything to mono before each drop and, as you said, introducing some sidechaining in the buildup to allow more room for the percussion. I don't know whether I WILL go back and change this project, but I really do appreciate your constructive criticism :)
Your beat is on point here though its kindda weak imho kick and snare need some punch to make it more dope but your hi-hat rolls are well place, anyways all is good here good job. Peace out
punch kick is really the holy grail, right? I added a transient shaper, thought a little bit more about EQ and compression. Most recent upload should reflect that. I appreciate this helpful comment a lot. Take care. Dan
Your intro is good those harmonic arps reminded me of chime, your transition here is great that leads into a nice buildup, my favorite part here is your melodic drop and those heavy growls, I also like the delayed part on the 2nd drop. Very awesome track really digging it. Expecting more from you. Peace out
Never heard of this genre before so this is my first time hearing it. Thanks to sweetcherries i've some sort of information and man this is so chill and relaxing those Jamaican chant is just gorgeous join by raggae flair is just!!! Ahhhh. Anyways continue what your doin Bleep.
Intro needs more, like another melody or some arp, I really like the drop but that drop needs some sidechain because that brutal growl is blocking your drums
