Ha, ha. Wonderful. Love the rhythm, the reed-like lead, and I had a good laugh when the singing kicked in. I love quality music with a humor. Humor is a healer, not to be sneezed at. I would not mind the tune to be a little longer.
Took a folk search in the tracks and first one was this. Not surprisingly, I am in on this piece, the flute is the icing of the cake, we abuse all kind of them. The voice is somewhat fragile, and detained, tho it is there. In the lows it goes whisper-like sometimes, but it adds to the mood to me. It makes it sensitive and emotional. Good work. Maybe needless to say, but such music feels more like home to me than much modern stuff. But I am a mummy, so to each, his own. xD
The search you took was prob set for most recently uploaded so naturally mine was at the top. Also there were no flutes used or abused in the track. The sound you are hearing is a Moog Theremini theremin. The preset I used sounds like a flute, granted, but I never touched the instrument while playing it, unlike a flute. I'm not much of a singer, just do it cuz I can and it adds to my tracks to have singing on them.
A very interesting "watery" experience, Footman. I really like the voice and how it lays low. It is like I have heard before but not this way. There is something both familiar and strange about it. Nice moody tune. A seductive story telling mode.
Cool with the combi of the stumbling rhythm and your vocals. Do not know how you manage to make a flow of it, but it works. Look forward to hear how you deal with our stuff. Forgot to tell that you are welcome to cut it up and mash around with it as you like. Nice work, bro :-)
Wow. Seductive. I had some associations the style of Shirley Bassey, almost feeling a Bond theme beneath the lovely reggae rhythm. I adore Bassey, anything with just a slight of that magic, and I am in love. Fine work. All my ten thumbs up.
Wonderful mood. I am so in. Do you happen to know the Iranian-canadian group Niyaz? A Persian/Sufi inspired electronic duo. Your track has a related kind of eastern flavor. I love middleeastern phrygian scales as much as I love our Nordic aeolian. Nice work. Good choice of tempo. Makes the drums a calm experience, closing in at the meditative experience.
Hey Thank you very much. No I didn't know the Band Niyaz, but i really liked them after listeing to some tracks. Very interesting Band. I can also name you my inspirations to this music. I also want to do more music like this:
Mabel Matiz - Mendilimde kirmizim var
Altan Urag - Mother Mongolia
Diriliş Ertuğrul Müziği (Turkish Series Music)
Mystic and cool, and with humor too (the chipmunk singing). I enjoyed the percussion and music with a big smile on my face. Also nice abrubtions and changes in the progressions.
Hello Gothi,
Thank you for your comment, which I really appreciate, especially since it is well argued.
I listened to "The bloodstein guardian" and I really like your ethnic and electronic style at the same time.
