Old skool moody tune I like this one, so much so it's in my forthcoming April Dj mix of Looperman dnB artists. Will alert you when it drops on the 1st of April on Soundcloud.

on Eager by Spivkurl
This is quite soundscapey in its aqpproach, definitely minimal, owes more to drumstep, than traditional drum and bass, like it and think it would be a good intro to a set... might just do it... wait for the sn 76 march mix on soundcloud where I'm gonna feature a number of looperman D and B tracks!

on Korobuska (DVs Ein Iki Type A rmx) by DonnieVyros
I'm sure the out of time elements are done for a reason but my brain can't ignore it and a voice in my head like a drill instructor says "That's out of time! Goddammit" I'll have to listen to some of yr others. Not my thing to be honest.

I hear ya mate. This was an experiment with offsetting stuff (sorta like a way to point to signaled chaos, in-step with the game's progressive speed change). More for the psychological effect of conscious interference rather than traditional escapist immersion approach. Thanks for stopping by. Lates!

on Jekyll and Hyde - Remix for release by aktolman
Yes, this is wicked, interested in what this is a remix of... I recognise some of the sounds... reminiscent of something I heard on a Total Science dj mix. Damn good tune much respect.

Cheers for the review mate! its a remix of my original version of Jekyll and Hyde - all the sounds apart form a couple are mine! So they just must be similar!

on Slaughterhouse Featuring Coney by FreeRadical
This is wicked... best thing I've heard on here for some time... I'm gonna be brutally honest here and I don't want to offend. Here we go... Why do you make ok but dated techno when you're capable of unleashing bangers like this? If I had your talent I would make more like this and maybe some doors will open?!

Awesome track will be playing this to some other ears...
FreeRadical
FreeRadical replied 11th Dec 2011 - 13 years ago
Thanks man. It's actually a tougher question to answer than i first thought. The main reasons i guess would be that i've always had a soft spot for simple sounding stuff but it's also because i've been on a break for a while and techno is a good style for getting back into arranging (You know, you don't have to worry too much about where it's going or getting too complicated.)
But you are right, I should concentrate more on doing stuff like this as you're not the only one who's said that.
P.S. You do have as much if not more talent than me. I really rate your stuff and i can't ever remember hearing anything you've done that doesn't sound the dogs b0ll0k5!

on Estix - Infiltration by Estix
Wow Estix this is a great slice of minimal d and b the intro draws you in and the body of the tune is dark and forboding... love the drums and percussion, this is moody and dark , just the way I like em!

on playground by sn76 sacrificialanode subdub mix by sacrificialanode
Don't worry i am remixing it myself @ the mo. Many of yr ideas have influenced me,and consequently I'm starting to figure out what's missing from my music. I am minimal in my approach to D and B because the bpm's fast and you need the space to let the sounds breathe but the danger is the music gets a bit bland when there's too few sounds.

There's some killer basslines and great ideas in your remix that keep the energy levels high, it's just a bit raw @ present, I'm itching to hear a more polished version... You have my permission to get busy making it! My remix of it should be posted within a week ,it already kicks the original into touch.

Best regards

on playground by sn76 sacrificialanode subdub mix by sacrificialanode
Well there's some bits I like and some I'm not sure about... The bass is great and i love the tones you produce but it's too loud . If you drop it a few db it'd sound wicked cos I do like it! Not keen on the percussion you've added coming in so early in the track, also it goes out of time at the end of the loop which is a shame... It's also too loud. I like the fx you've used on the build up and I 'm convinced with a few adjustments this will better the original, maybe repost an edited version? I hear the potential and am flattered you are remixing my work

cheers-its always hard to blend from soft into techno vibesand the intro is a bit "thin",as long as its got "oomf" i guess thats ok--
yeah with my girls around, most of my bass-mastering happens in the car with the woofers up-on the way to work....

on Sarah by sn76 sacrificialanode subdub mix by sacrificialanode
This tweaks the track in all the right ways, love the atmospheric synth fx at the intro , adds a lot of atmosphere to the track, The thickening up of the low end does the damage, hats off to you bro, i'll be bumpin this one for a while, it's sick... the vocal sample refers to Sarah Connor out of interest... I will be looking out for more trax from you... ps liked what u did with the breakdown!
