on Can you remenber Queens? by Tcheka
sweet track man! the jazz piano is awesome. I'm a big fan of jazzy hiphop, u did a good job with this one. Just one suggestion: maybe you could lower the volume on the drums just a little bit. They kinda masked the piano which would be a shame.

on Steve Perry by Gonzoboy
I like this one. Good job building all the different parts. I can't quite tell if the its on beat..the synth loop seems a little lagging (maybe its just me)

Thanks. Yeah, I'll take a listen. There are certain parts I want to sound sort of off, lover of the avant guard that I am. But that has more to do with machine-gun-like sounds that come here and there and the door-slamming sound I mention in my description. I'll give it a listen for the synth, though. 'cause that i'd actually like on the beat. Thanks again!

on Turbo Button (Day one on NanoKey) by DonnieVyros
I'm a big fan of odd time-sigs. The drums are set up nicely to accomodate. The insect synth or whatever it is sounds sort of like a sitar in the phrasing. Has an indian influenced sound. (to me)

Cool deal mate. And it might have just been since I was kind of on an indo-chinese groove back then (posted a challenge in the forums and even made several loops for it). Anyways, glad ya dug. Later on!

Staccato beats are always my personal favorites. I like this one. You blended the staccato parts with the flowin synth sound, I liked that, creative.

Diggin this one, like the dark feel. The thunder was nice touch....I think u added it a good amount...some people can go overboard. But it has a nice limit.

on 923(Space Ride) by Ghaven
This track is set up real nice. Just the synth roll is a little too loud like I saw others mention....when I first heard you introduce the roll, I was beggin for it to change pitches after about 4 rolls...but you left it the same. See if you like it better trying it that way.

Awesome track...pretty subtle, but dynamic at the same time. Loved the volume swells and the flange

on NESness by DonnieVyros
Being a fusion lover myself, I love this track. Awesome time-sigs. The fading was great as well. Really like that the bassline and drums stay the same, and the overlaying arrangements keep changing.
DonnieVyros
DonnieVyros replied Unknown - 2027 years ago
I hear ya. Ironically, the bass was like the first thing I edited for this and what kinda caused it all. The drums came next and honestly, I felt like this would be fine with just those, but it woulda been sorta flat. So I added the other stuff.
And isn't fusion great? Glad ya stopped by. Later on!
