My brother is pretty damn great at guitar compositions, he used to have a tape recorder that he always had with him and he'd record guitar riffs, tons of them, and man most of em were masterpieces, and this was like 12 years ago. He thought he lost that recorder but really, i stole it so i could listen to his songs at night lol. I promise u bro, i 100 percent felt back then that he was destined to be a guitarist or at least a songwriter. That was all before the DJing stuff and a few years before he started producing. Idk man, im automatically his fan cuz he is my brother. But im glad when his work gets some praise. Much appreciated, Dan!

It can be though to match acapellas not only in key and bpm, but also in subject matter/lyrics. Thanks to Looperman and all the great vocalist on here it can sometimes be done haha.

Honestly, Im still learning every day. When it comes to writing, I just try to catch my thoughts and shape them around whatever beat is playing and guiding the rhythm. I cant really write without a beat, haha, thats just how I flow.

I havent fully mastered instruments or vocals yet, so I kind of rely on having at least a kick and some chords running through the speakers to get me going.

And yeah, I think the tempo and vibe of whatever Im listening to usually ends up shaping what the song becomes. I also try to avoid sad tones too much, because they can pull me back into old memories, and once that happens I usually end up writing from that space and then carrying that feeling for a few days before it fades.

Dan, thank you very much. You know, many of the songs we wrote and performed are deeply personal. This one as well, where the interpretation of our singer makes it feel like part of her soul, part of her own desire and emotional world. As I also wrote to Mark, Urban Stories was not created to become commercial. It was written because we felt the need to explore the human condition moving through everyday life, sadness, despair, and loneliness. Experiences and emotions that all of us have lived through, and still live through, very often. Personally, I thank you for walking with us through the dark streets and among the endless indifference of the people around us in the world of Urban Stories.
