on The Savage Wins by BCVProductions
Love the bassline, love the vocals. Had me curious and I'm going to take a look at your acapellas, because I think I quite like your voice. Fantastic work.

(Once again, amazing bassline)

Maybe we can do a fun/non-commercial project together!

on Intentionally weird by TheFrenZ
This is legit incredible. Rarely do I see something unique that follows no genre...or rather genre blending. Like it belongs in the video game Tetris Effect. I don't know if you know it but search on YouTube of the entire track list.

Professionally mixed, and incredibly creative. I hope you don't mind if I download this to listen when I'm trying to concentrate on reading lol

This is insane. This has got some Blade Runner vibes HANDS DOWN. Anytime I see this track on Featured I listen to it quite a few times lol. Good work.

Hello InitiumMusic
Every time someone writes to me that he listen to my songs more often, I'm extremely happy. Most of the time you have to be happy when things are at least listened to completely....
Many thanks for your encouraging words. I am pleased that you like my work so much

stay tuned

on SIMPLE MINDED by BeatMaker4real
I still have yet to purchase an MPC for fun.

If it's not too much trouble,
how user friendly is it?
which one are you using?

I'm a fast learner in terms of DAWs and hardware. I'm just curious about your recommendation/rating.

Because it sounds insane. I look forward to lyrics on this.

I'm using the MPC X (The older model)
I would say that it's fairly easy to learn and get it to do what you need it to do.

I've had it for a while, but just really started using it on projects, I gotta say that I love the sound of the drums coming off of the MPC

My last few tracks I've only used the MPC and hardware keyboards for sounds..my mind is telling me that the boards sounds better than the vst's...but it's probably just in my head..lol

on Nothing Good Comes Easy by NateJMusic
If the website didn't accidentally post my comment before finishing. I was going to say fantastic bassline/EQ work, and this is one of the few EDM tracks on here, I can listen on repeat for hours. Especially today lol.

on And Then She Left Me Again by ApolloForce
As I listen to this again. Would you like to work on something together, or can I remix this?

If you allow me, I'll let you know what I need.

ApolloForce replied 25th May 2023 - 1 year ago
Are you serious? If you are, I must be dreaming. Especially having heard the insanely good tracks you have. I haven't really had time to make music. This track took almost 6 months for me to get it here. But, if you want to remix it, I can send you the stems and/or project file if you use FL. Shoot me a pm with you email and I'll send it all on over to ya

Absolute perfection as soon as it hit :01.

There are no words. Perfect vocals, perfect EDM Trance.

One of these days it would be my honor to work with you, but if that dream is realized or not, just wanted to say:

This is officially a top 3 EDM track on this site.

on Grabbing Smoke by Zootman
I know I favorited this song earlier... I just didn't remember if I commented on it or not, so now I will lol

Both you and Pseudoble created an incredible piece.

You know if feels like an interlude session of a live concert where you had this incredible song before hand, and then as the song winds down, you work your way into this one, and it just becomes this trippy space indie subsection that you can see the crowd just swaying back and forth feeling this music, and as you finish this up, you go into the next song.

I was born in '82, and this reminds me of growing up in the 90s.

This is not an exaggeration:

This is the best indie grundge song I have heard on looperman.
Zootman

Well that's an amazing comment, thank you very much. The main guitar part is pretty rudimentary but I figured it did all it needed to...in fact, I'm pretty sure I stayed on one fret and didn't have to move more than a couple of fingers to play it lol. I listened to your dnb track asking for vocals by the way. Very cool track, if I was a better singer I'd have a crack at it. Thanks again, Chris.

on Lords of the Plains by OMaille
This is perfection, from the snare as everyone said...to the slightly detuned main synth.

This could work in a lot of things, more modernistic/future trailers. Adventuring youtubers bmx biking through lush forests, snowboarding. It could work with a lot of stuff. Love it

on LETS PLAY by T576
You make me want to learn jazz. Enough said.

Like my step dad plays drums with a lot of jazz bands, but I've never actually sat down and understood jazz music theory. It's all about the feel.

I suppose I'd have to sit down and just blast this and other tracks to immerse myself.
T576
T576 replied 17th Apr 2023 - 1 year ago
Good morn, IM. I can tell you this, the most valuable word you used in your comment iS FEEL. JAZZ is one of the most particular genres of music that you have to masterfully poses "FEEL" to be able to play it. Sample production has caused the younger generation to not have any interest in theory or sight reading. It's like a cult. Long as you have the 808'S banging, bass synth with plenty of 20Hertz or bellow, thirty second to sixty forth high hats, and a catchy acapella, you're a producer. Jazz is a spiritual feel. Learn some theory, and sight reading as a start. Get a good metronome. With JAZZ you have to be all the way in, time wise. There is no compromise. Hope this helps you start your journey. PEACE. T576 OUT.

on Step By Step 9 - Take Off Your Coat by BaoBou
I'm going to share this with my dad. He's been playing the drums forever in 4 funk/jazz bands (as a hobby).

This is REALLY good. Like not even joking. Professionally done. Like it sounds like I was there sitting in the studio behind the glass wall messing with the mixer as you played it haha.

Funky bass line sucked me in. But the lead guitar with solo was icing on the cake.

Amateur artists should take note of your track. There is incredible professionalism with every second:

Examples, perfectly spliting of guitars/bass line, some soft, some strong, but properly channeling it on left and right pans, spreading it out so the safety of the center can be used as space for whatever.
BaoBou
BaoBou replied 9th Apr 2023 - 1 year ago
That's an amazing compliment. I can assure you I'm not a pro by any means (2Sisters below - now those are the real pros) but I've learned so much the past year and it's great that it's paying off. A year ago I'd just started drumming, I was scared to sing and I didn't understand the first thing about recording and production... Check my old songs here or on YouTube and you'll see what I mean :D

Man... This is in my top-3 favorite comments I've ever received (hug). Greetings to you and your dad :) Send me his YouTube or Spotify if he has something!

on Thing about me by BONEZONMARZ
I gotta be honest. I don't know why either lol. I took a hiatus from music and looperman for a bit. Got back in and enjoying this so far.

The thing that fascinates me the most is the bassline and I swear everyone else is lying if they don't

on Next to You by AtticElla
"I started making electronic music in 1999 with a program named Dance ej."

YESSSSSS I remember using that very same thing before I switched over to DAWs like Reason. I got my offical musical start in 2000-2001 with working under a label/making money at my hobby...

but my god Ella: As soon as you said Dance EJ, those nostalgic feelings came rushing up. I was 18 in 2000 lol.

Anyways, onto the song. I've become more and more partial to Lo-Fi when I've been studying/relaxing...sleeping lol. This is sort of a blend between Synthwave and lo-fi I guess?

The beat is insane, just the quality and melody/piano work in general is perfect lo-fi for me. I could listen to this on repeat for hours, and not even know hours passed lol

It was an instant fav for me. I think you should continue on with new Lo-Fi to add to your repertoire with your House music.

AtticElla replied 18th Nov 2021 - 3 years ago
OMG Clay, you're kidding? You should hear the crap I made with that program! I still have some songs laying around somewhere. But to me, they where fire haha.

If you say it is synthwave blend, I'll take your word for it. I dunno. I just figured a lot of lofi tunes end up sounding the same, with same instrumentation every time. Not that I don't like that but it gave me an excuse to experiment a little. Hope it works.

Thank you for your kind compliments. It is so nice to get encouragement to continue on. I am working on more lofi tunes because I just love the style and I've forced myself to stay away from house for a while. Let's see how it turns out.

BTW when will you post that song I asked you about? ;)

This reminds me of a cyberpunk'esc Blade Runner theme.

Like this is straight perfect with the piano, the slow beat, the synths. This belongs in an epic cyberpunk video game, or movie.

Hands down.

I always favorite good piano. :-P

Hopefully you find someone! Thinking airy raspy vocal male, or powerful mid range female would be great to sing on this.

Hell of a banger. Bassline is solid. Melodic cuts/chords are perfect. I can't wait to hear a lyricist on this.
