Good stuff bro!
There's a lot of limiting going on tho and some contents of this sickk track are being masked.
Well I'm not sure what the case is but it's a nice track bro.

Trust me, there is nothing missing. In fact, the limiter brang out the bass distortion better. Thank you so much for the comment!

on Hey DJ by mudhoen
OMG sickkk tune. serum and spire am so gonna check them out,you did well on this track well just as Brado said, you can automate tracks to delay and feel in gaps for you in your mix when they are about to stop looping or you can just gradually fade out this will as well fill in the gaps for you.
did you use ableton live for this?
mudhoen
mudhoen replied 24th Jul 2016 - 9 years ago
Thanks for the comment. The VSTs are great but ofcourse it depends on what you do with them :p. I have put in delay on the synths but it might have been too little. Will check it out and finetune it. Thanks for the hint. I used ableton live before but the workflow of FL studio did fit my style better so use it for almost 3 years now.

on Billion - When Im Gone by BillionaireExclusive
this track is going to come out lit!,it's sad how things go wrong but on the other hand its a good thing that you're putting this together for that cause keep it up bro, i like the piano and its emotional fill; yo can boost the mid freq a bit on the piano and then the vocals like brado said, has effects something like a flanger or pitch effect. it might not fit in well with the mix so its best you go back to the raw vocals and use a reverb on it and a bit of delay for balance not too much delay though....cheers brother!
how can i contribute to this song?
BillionaireExclusive
BillionaireExclusive replied 23rd Jul 2016 - 9 years ago
Thanks For The Feedback. I haven't pointed this out yet, but the only thing on my voice is reverb. And I double layered my vocals. The reverb I used is what caused my vocals to sound altered but I didn't realize. Anyway, you can contribute to the song by either recording your own verse, or send lyrics to me for someone else to record. My email is phantomcash23@yahoo .com If you're interested just let me know as soon as you get this.

Its easy just transpose from the piano roll basically for Example from C3 to C2 and then use an EQ to boost up the low moody frequencies a little bit that should give you a good sub-bass kick and if you boost the frequencies a lot, its gonna sound like when you didn't transpose it to C2...its a bit tricky but i'm getting to rap my head around it with the frequency spectrum.. thanks mate

And also can you please explain a bit the concept of how of making a cool sounding snare roll like you did...cheers!!
HMXlive
HMXlive replied 23rd Jun 2016 - 9 years ago
Im just using a drum rack in ableton with a snare sample and different synced arpeggiators ;)
This guy explains it short & good:

The transposing of the rolls right before the hook are in addition automated.
I hope I could help you.

Nice melody man!...its a bit tricky doing the sub-bass kick thing to be in the right octave and stuff but i understand that since you mentioned that you're trying out hip hop,i know that the sub kick gives it the hip hop kinda vibe....and it tried so hard to conflict with the rest of the nice content of your track...but it was a good track.
try to take all the notes down an octave and then boost up the low frequencies that comes with doing so cause it gets a bit moody and unclear, that way the notes you played for the sub kick wouldn't be so obvious to spot out;kinda lies beneath your mix. Good work bro!
i would be posting a track am working on which has the sub kick thing happening so you'll be the number one judge to tell me how it worked with the rest of the song.
Thanks and keep up the Good work!!!

Thank you very much for your advice!
Ill try it out within the next days...
Maybe i put the bass to high as i dont have a sub (just my Presonus Eris E5 which reach down till 53 Hz)
Thanks again that you took yourself the time to help me improving my track ;)

.. just listened to "Fadding Terrains" and "Nectar".. very nice! I really like your chilled but energetic style of producing
Cheers ;)
