Nice compilation. Are these drops all of your own making?
I do have to confess having a hard time by the loudness of this compilation. In combination with starting of hard right away.
Hello :)
I dig the deep melody. I like it. I'm just wondering why the track is so quiet and varies in volume a lot. A tip i'd like to share is using the vocals more throughout the track. It feels like they are just pasted at the end and thats it. Considering this would battle the repetitiveness and brings up the interest and wideness of the track along the way.
I like it! There is way more going on in this track then detected at first. I think that has to do with the fact that you managed it all very smoothly all together.
Transitions are perfect, intro, outro, diversity, all good. I personally cannot find myself in TheUltrasonic's message as there is for sure a buildup there and it sounds good. But that's just my POV on it :)
The track has a certain fantasy/dreamisch effect on me. I do not know how to explain it. But its positive haha
Nice one. My feedback:
- Intro is good.
- Vocal sounds good with the instrumental
- Nice diversity throughout the sneak a peek.
- 1:15 is a very catchy swinging part :D
I can not really find much feedback for you to bent your thoughts over. What you might think of is using a slightly edited vocal part later on. As in few tones lower, or maybe even slightly robotic hint to it (not to much) by using a vocoder.
LMAO! Your Avatar indeed suites the title hahaha..
Pretty d@mn good for a first track! It has a nice groove to it. I was surprised by the 'Chinese pingles' at 2:58 :D. The vocals and instrumental make perfect sexy time together. The lyrics are good man. Chapeau everyone. I enjoyed this very much!
yeaaaaah! Nice deep filthy techno beat ^^. I could see myself dancing hard to this at a good old rave!
I do not know if this is still a WIK but I would suggest extending it a bit. That 1:37 sound could be used (lower in volume) as a nice add for a further chorus. Letting it pop in and out here and there. Making it all together even more coolisch hypnotic techno.
thanks man its exactly comments like urs which make me feel like its worth it to put my songs up on this site i think this one is done i had just made a 7 minute psy trance song called japan and this was what came next so short and sweet to the point but if u wanna remix it i can give u the stems if ur up to it anyway thanks for the comment sir

I am 'afraid' if I would go to the gym, while listening this, I will totally DEMOLISH the workout lol. Feeling like The Rock Johnson himself! Certainly the first time the guitar kicks in haha.
I am not a rock lover by nature but Looperman feels a bit like open ground for me to check pretty much any genre regardless of my likings and I must say I enjoyed this one :)
The only feedback I could actually think of is turning the drums volume up a tiny bit. For now either the drums felt to be left a bit behind, or the guitars are a bit dominant. I am not sure which one it is. Again, please remember that I hardly listen rock so its all down to what I can tell from my abilities here.
Personally, its a bit repetitive in my perception for 5minutes long to be honest. Good to see that you respectfully address to the samples you used.
Hey Wobbin, thanks so much for listening and commenting, much appreciated. I will 100% check out the drums/guitar volume thing - as the guitarist I have a tendency to up the volume on my stuff :D I find volume mixing the hardest thing, so hard to get right...
I get the same thing as you do with rock, listening to stuff I normally don't here on Looperman, like house or dance etc, but it's good sometimes to do so.
So thanks again, and see you out there on the tracks :)
I heard you calling, so here I am! (lame, ikr lol)
Anyways, nice track :) I certainly like it.
I can not sing, I should not sing, and I have little to zero know-how from it basically. Listened the track a few times and taken in account what 8Kass8 said, I might actually agree on that on some way.
But only on the double layer parts where the 2nd voice might be a key or so higher. Examples will be 0:36/0:42 etc.
Nevertheless is it already a splendid track! Just sharing some thoughts.
Thank you so much for such a thorough critique. I will definitely take it all into account in my future tracks!!! :)
p.s. (Thank goodness SOMEONE heard the call!!! LOL!!!) ;)
Roaming through The Netherlands as well, knowing how heavy it is to live up to the Dutch EDM expectations duo our musical history.. lol just kidding ;)
I've gave the track a few listens and this would be my feedback. I did certainly enjoy the track and think it has potential. If its actually up to Spinnin'/Revealed label their lvl's, I honestly doubt. Maar nooit geschoten is altijd mis, like they say in Dutch :)
- Intro: I would fade up slightly instead of the contrast between 0:06-0:08. So it gets a smoother transition
- I personally find the upriser at 0:37/0:38 a bit false sounding. I mean that for me it does not suite well enough and I'd suggest trying to edit/exchange it.
- 0:51. A impact or base-drop effect wouldn't sound wrong there. Could be medium in volume so it feels more in harmony with the rest. So not a big loud 'boom'. The rest of the track is quite subtle.
- 1:41, same comment as at the intro. Either start of with that sound combination, or fade it a bit more in. I would start with it to give the track a better climax feel there.
- Outro, there is not really a outro for me.
Overall does the track feels quite repetitive. Yes you changed the sounds of each section with different instruments/synths and added layers. Which is good! But I feel its still a bit nude and could use some extra instruments/effects/something going on at some parts. It doesn't have much of a 'energy releasing climax' feeling on me and thereby possibly missing out on actually standing out for people who hear demo's and submitted tracks all day.
I hope you find something valuable in my feedback. Please note, I did not just gave feedback, but I gave feedback knowing you aim for huge labels their quality.
Also please understand that with producing, there are not always good or bads. Part of it is opinion, experience and view. Well done that this is created within 10hours btw. I take way longer for a track itself, not counting mixing and mastering in it yet.
Nice production man.
If I may be so free to leave a bit of feedback:
- Intro sounds good. Building up and letting the ears prepare for what's coming
- Outro is a bit to suddenly for me.
- At 0:45 there's an impact as effect to bring the drums in i guess. While its decently put together, for me it still comes in to hard. hard as in volume difference. It might be an idea to either insert a sweep to that moment or decrease the volume of the impact or possibly delete the impact but fade in the drums.
- 0:58, link the upriser directly to the drop. There's a little room between.
- Overall throughout the track, the drums seem to loud and pushing the trance synths to the background. Examples are around 0:54, 1:41 and later on in the same parts. Honestly do I not find the drum (loop?) at the main chorus parts fitting the Trance genre. But that is more my personal preference.
I hope that you will not shoot me down over this. It seems like a huge list of critic but I only write things so extended to make sure people understand what I mean. And all meant respectfully as a helping matter. The track certainly got potential! It just needs a bit more mixing and transition attention with these tiny points.
Keep it up the work, see this as a motivational review! :)
You left me behind seeking for words after this truly amazing piece of music. Seriously..
I agree with Nelephant that this indeed has a soul and sounds as pure emotion to me. Hard to describe but I feel happiness, love, a calm state of inner peace, a urge to just stare out of the window and let the music fully take over. I NEED MORE, finish it! lol
It has got splendid details in it for just being a 1:35 sneak a peek. I am not 'home' in acoustic that much but it sounds very good recorded to me. Listened it over and over for like 8x before I even finished this comment lol. Big fav!!!
Awesome production! Everything seems well balanced for me. Transitions, intro/outro, vocals. I just can not hear what the vocals actually sing, but I do not find that anywhere a issue.
If I may be so free, i've found 2 minor feedback things.
- At the very start 0.00 the white noise following the impact/drop effect is either to loud in my opinion, or possibly better placed when matched up together in the effect.
- The outro is rather short versus the intro. What I mean is that it comes kind of unexpected and all in a sudden if people are not seeing the actual wave file or time left. Just something that I noticed but not a big deal or anything. I like the track a lot, keep it up! :D
Name: The track sounds spacey and galactic to me. I would suggest brainstorming towards that topic. A planet or certain star name. Or anything cool sounding out the universe.
Nice preview! The gentle 'ping pongs' at 0:40 had my attention in this piece and could lead to a nice part after that buildup! I love the fact you fuse styles together with 'no fear'. Really seeking your own style and desire (for this track) instead of mainstream and the simple ways out. I respect that.
I do totally understand the 'expectations towards yourself issue'. I haven't got any full tracks released here on Looperman yet but there's a lot going on behind the curtains here and as addition, my perfectionism sometimes just blocks things up.. lol
Tiny feedback thingy:
Knowing its a preview and work in progress, so please forgive me in that.
For me, the 0:35 transition is a bit out of the blue.
I'm fully confident that it will turn out as something beautiful so keep it up!
The whole idea of posting it before it was done was to get as much feedback as possible so no need to be forgiven. I welcome all kinds of criticism. Especially when it comes to finding my own style.
I'll work on the transition, and make it sound as smooth as possible.
And yeah, I understand what you mean. There's always a part of me that strives for perfection, and it can be extremely discouraging. I have around a 100 projects that are either incomplete or complete but will never see the light of day because I'm not proud of it. But being in a community like looperman helps because of all the support an all the knowledge I can get from people here.
