I really like this song. What I really appreciate is how it changes tempo throughout the song. It added a completely different dynamic not commonly heard in a lot of house music, and it was certainly interesting to listen to. This is the first song I listened to after coming back to Looperman and it reminded me why I love this community.
This is very impressive. You said you've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes and it really shows. The track is very well mixed and has very interesting elements throughout. Amazing work here. Looking forward to the final track.
This track is about finished. (revised some things once more). I gave another direction in it kind of, for the drops. It will be released when it received final mix & master.
The production on this track is top notch. Everything sits perfectly within the mix, and it's impossible not to compliment Iti Yati's great voice. Amazing work.
Thank you for those comments sheensheep. It means a lot to us. We fine-tuned and fine-tuned to get it as good as we could. I don't know if I will ever be 100% happy but it is the best I can do at this point in time.
This is a sick song. You made the vocals work perfectly well for this track. The track itself is well mixed, no issues there, and it is interesting throughout. Great work. Looking forward to some more of your music!
This is a great, solid beat, really like it. The mix is also well done.
One complaint though is that When the beat started building up at 0:39 it felt like it was leading up to something, but at 1:42 when the buildup ended it felt wasted like there was nothing worth building up to. What I would do is cut off the drums at 0:42 and bring them back in at 0:45 (8 bars long). Same at 1:47.
Agree with @CykaBlyat, the piano really makes this song for me. It's smooth and beautiful, and the new instrument that came in at around 1:50 sounds really great for this track.
However at 1:45, the instruments cut off way too suddenly and kill the vibe. Some reverb to give the instruments a tail will fix that. And at 2:07, the strings come in suddenly as well. I like the song quite a bit, but I feel it needs to be touched up.
Wow can't believe I missed that....!? So I tappered off and faded in in several places within the track I think I got it fixed I even pulled an accent piano riff forwards a bit in the mix. Thank for pointing my "ooops" out to me. peace, Archaic Dreamz
Love this song. My favorite part is at 1:18. Still has those jazz vibes and meshes well with the rest of the song as well as adding something new to the table. And that soulful sax is well is just great. Awesome work.
Another great track. You're consistently producing some of my favorite tracks in this community. Beautifully mixed and that drop gave me chills. The gating effect at 1:57 was a great touch as well. Awesome work.
This is a great experimental song. Love the congas that came in at 1:17, they were an unexpected twist, and that's just one example of great variation. All the many different types of synths make it an interesting track and always keeps me guessing as to what is coming next. Great job
Normally, I would be against this crazy distortion in the bass. But you managed to mix it in well and it really adds to the character of this song. And the jazzy feel is a definite plus from me. Great work.
So I might very well be the millionth person to say this, but you've got a beautiful voice. Very fitting for this track. I find the track itself great in its simplicity. Amazing work. Can't wait to listen to your other projects.
Thanks so much, Sean! :) Means a lot, coming from you!
Just to inform you, I already gave my dancer friends the URL to "The Moments That Take Your Breath Away. Crossing my fingers that they can make something amazing that's inspired by your work. :)
Simple, well produced beat. The 808 is knocking and everything sits well in the mix. It's good as it is, but I would like some more elements to the song to add some variety.
I think your structure needs some work. One example: Your drop length is 32 bars. Instead of bringing that cool synth at 1:04 at the 8th bar, bring it in at the 16th bar so it doesn’t feel as repetitive as it continues and the same thing is happening in the song.
Please note that it’s fine to experiment and ignore these because there really aren’t any rules when it comes to music. The only rule is that it anything goes only as long as it sounds good. In this case it negatively impacted the song by making the drop feel too repetitive, so I suggest changing things up.
There are some really cool elements in your song (like at 2:20) and the opening square synth, but it eventually feels repetitive and tiresome.
Overall it was a very good try at future bass, and I hope you keep working to improve. This is significantly better than the first song you uploaded. So keep working.
This song gave me chills. I love the simplicity of the instrumentals, and your voice is amazing. Now I'm nitpicking here but at 1:40, the bass wobbles like its out of tune.
This is a great song. There's beauty in its simplicity. Love the arps and the way you worked the delays and the reverb. It's not something I'd ever imagine being in a club environment, but it feels like it's on its own artistic plane. Love it.
Thank you for taking the time to listen and leave a comment! I have been making electronic music for about sixteen years, yet I have never been to a "dance club." When I go out to hear music, it is generally live bands. In fact, the only "rave" I have been to was 25 years ago, and was at a christian music festival. It's funny, I simply have no idea, and little interest in what people expect to hear in a club! When I am doing this sort of music, I find it more akin to "braindance," where it is meant to inspire though along with visions, whether OEV or CEV. The combination of tends to be, for me at least, a sort of internal dance, which tunes the physiological state of the body and it's reactions to the so called external world. As such, I take your comment as a compliment! I really appreciate you listening!
This is really good track. I agree with Dennel, the piano coming in at 0:45 is quite loud and needs to be turned down to balance the mix better. But I really liked the composition and the different elements. Great job.
I switched up the levels and I think it sounds much better, I will upload the updated version soon. Thanks for the kind words Sheen and thanks for the feedback!
The best advice I can give you is to keep making more and more music, then you'll learn where you really need to improve, and what you want to focus on
This is a great track. I love the dark orchestral vibe to this song, and I think the mixing is spot on. Don't hear anything wrong with it. Looking forward to some more of your tracks.
This is a great hard hitting track, with great party vibes. Mix wise, I think it's pretty good I think it's over compressed. The horns at the second half of the drop duck too much and it too sharply contrasts with when they come back up. If they were a bit more consistent, I think it would do this track some good.
This is a really good song though. Awesome work.
P.S. What's your soundcloud? I'd love to hear more music from you.
