Hello sounders, you're on the money with the first part of growing up....the second eh!....i appreciate it anyway, I do try hard to get there....the music is everything and it we definitely need it these crazy times. I thank you again for all your time and comments my friend, its greatly appreciated.
Thanks, glad you like it.
I wanted to create something new again, started with a 140 BPM four on the floor, created some melodies for bass and synths and asked myself why not add vocals, and that's when the fun started. Luckily I had MIDI controlled GSnap at hand, my raw vocals are terrible, I'm not a singer, but in this song, after the right adjustments, it seemed fitting :-)
It's so nice to listen to progressions that take you with them instead of just waiting for them to arrive. Skilled and crafted so nicely. Also my hero of the loudness war.
Hello sounders, thanking you for listening and commenting on this track my friend....Im sure you like music as much as I so we work hard to contribute as much as possible.....again I appreciate your words and music.
An issue with Looperman is the limit on categories you have to throw in the bucket of when expansive ideas require more nuance. You're phenom with your sound palettes and I liked the way it defied expectation and didn't drop a 4 to the floor but introduced something far more interesting skilled and compelling as always. Neat feats
Thank you so much for your kind words. I just listened to your latest which is a very beautiful moody song. You have treated the vocals loop in a very productive way.
Best wishes, Anthony.
You're a really great writer, musician and producer. I can imagine this track stripped down and slower as well as with full orchestral's and backing. Maybe great songs have this malleable quality to inhabit different spaces through universal sentiment's, this does that. I have some written material this has inspired me to pick up again, these are my most personal works and with permiso it would be valuable to share them before they enter a public arena. Wishing wellness and full bodied creative drafts.
Wow, what great compliments, thank you so much!! I would of course LOVE to play it with an orchestra, but I don't have one at home ;) Maybe I'll make a version with accoustic guitar though.
The album should be on streaming next week and now already on bandcamp! https://baobou.bandcamp.com/album/all-i-have-to-say
Heart felt and powerful "The door is always open, but you can't escape" I hope the person in your life can escape the torment and troubles that have beset their life at the moment. I understand sometimes you can only say things best in song.
Thank you for recognising that line - It's the tragedy for someone locked in their own head. As you said, sometimes you just have to write.
Greetings from New Barnet btw!
Love the feel and how this piece is put together. Dynamic playing and performance, great composition. I'm kinda gushing about looperman at the moment, although a resource I'm a slow learner as well as catastrophically anxious so it's taken me a while to 'Grok' the great implications available beyond resources. You were one of the first artists I followed and now I know the reason why.
The ultimate considerations I have for the musics is the forearm hair test. When I hear something that hits me the hairs on my forearms stand up. This passed.
Top quality production and instrumentation choices. A wise man once said (Dave Pensando) It's not about what it sounds, like it's the energy and emotion it creates which you cracked nicely with this one.
I was getting a bad case of the jazz shuffles with this one. It's good to hear tracks with a lot going on and you put it together magnificently. If I were to be clinical, that tenor sax is too wet as to leave the room a little however you overall created a classic sound I have never heard before. Top Chops
Greetings sounders. The stop and feedback is appreciated. Im aware of sax section you mentioned. Ive got a new treatment Im gonna try. Look out for an update. Its great you enjoyed what you heard. Peace.
That analogue wave squeezing and biting soundz is impressive in my opinion, I like a bit of ruthless modulations and there's more terrific, terrifying, techno perturbations dropped so we get the point at the end which is also nice.
I need more of this sound in my ears. Kinda reminiscent of a grungy nu school breaks line I was buying vinyls of a while back. But a great sound I hope you develop and master more. Cheers ears
