Thank you Ria...The coast is a place where I used to spend a lot of my time..it would be great to have a view of the ocean every day..and it wouldn't hurt the creative process either!...so glad you enjoyed the track...cheers :)
I think it's great. I got the image in the beginning, but I reckon the battle bit should be more... adrenaline filled? The end was well done though! The trumpet really brings to mind the last post that the military plays for the fallen.
Yeah i used lotr vox for this one
(the best movie ever)
And yeah, i agree, I should have prolonged the battle scene/ had it a bit more intense, but i attempted to do so, and it just didnt sound right, so i was just satisfied with this lol
It -is- Godfather-esque! A bit dangerous sounding, and it gets eerier as it progressed, especially the ending. I do agree with the X-files imagery a little, but the rhythm is more street. I guess an alien who got lost in an alleyway and who had just witnessed a mafia killing...? Lol
After reading all the reviews to this track I'm thinking about writing a song that's like a sci-fi, crime-drama crossover. I've never seen a sci-fi mafia movie so it would be somewhat unique. I have a more polished version of this track and I think I'll use that instead of reposting this one. Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked the track. -John
This is a great track! Very very good balance of everything, very clean and polished. And the tune at 1:42 is sweet.
I think it's brilliant that you've managed to record the song in your dream... I've never managed to do that =( they always poof before I even get my bearings.
Wow... you leave no genre unexplored, and excel at them all! This one's very nice. I especially love the addition of operatic vox and synths in this piece... gives it a certain lift. =)
Thanks a lot. Dan did all the music and FX. I just listened over and over till the words came. I really enjoyed doing this one. Who knows I may be the next william Shatner of music. LOL
Even though I agree with Sixfinger that it's not... exactly classical... I still love it. There are parts that are unexpected and add beautiful depth to it. Lovely piece all in all!
Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. I spent a lot of my life in a dark place. Even though I'm not there anymore. I reflect a lot of it in my lyrics to relate to those that may be there. I deal with a lot of homeless people and people in jail so a lot of what I write is stuff they can relate to.

Ooh lovely! I agree with Randy: a rockified version is quite a refreshing take on this nursery rhyme, even more so since this one dates way back to the middle ages.
Damn I envy you for being able to create tracks in less than an hour! And a track as chill out as this, man I gotta applaud you for that. I agree with Sweenster the bass is mad. Great use of synths too.
Rock fingers up in the air! This is a really cool song I like it very much. The riffs are well done. Song well structured, even though it was a tiny bit repetitive.
Wow I like this track! I like the lyrics too you paint quite a cool picture of this girl, Megan! Lol this is such a cool laid-back song.
Oh yeah, and your voice rocks too, =)
Nice take on a Yanni piece, and I think you did this piece justice. I like it very much, and it still retains the bittersweet feeling of the original, but with a modern twist.
This is so strange, but it works! I don't think it's too busy at all. I think it's just the right kind of busy-ness, the kind that a city or a forest needs to function properly.
Great piano! My favourite in your tracks. I love the atmosphere you've created, and her smoky voice fits wonderfully like, well, like glass slippers for Cinderella.

The words are excellent. Especially the "spinning out of control" parts. Great use of double entendre throughout the piece if you ask me.

This song is like a mixture of confidence mixed with pent-up anger (think an Aprella, or an Ulorin Vex fashion shoot).

I don't think it's weird. I think it's music painting vivid pictures in my head, and I don't think there's a genre for that.
