I feel you on the vox. Justsimplymusick hooked me up with a Tascam and I'm just learning how to use it. I didn't realize how bad my vox where till I heard the track back. I'm thinking about re-recording them. If not I just know I need to work on my mastering. Thanks for the advice

Yes!!! This is a real hot remix man. Deep bass, west coasty piano...and that drum loop is gritty. I like those fx you incorporate too. Cool how you break the beat up with a few changes and pauses as well. This is one of the best remixes I've heard to be honest. It fits great with the vocals. Thanks for making this joint son. Fav + DL.

Ill, real ill. Love the beat, love the rhymes...love the track. 3rd verse vox sounds a bit low, at least compared to the 1st two. Also, that very last hook (3:38) drops a little early. Beyond that, nice all around the table JDOT.

Thanks man, for real. The levels were kinda off but thats how it was when Trojanmic sent them to me ( the other version was waaaay lower ), I did my best with what I had and I agree, the 3rd verse does drop slightly early ( I'll have to change that later ). Thanks Nepaul, as always.

Dude you're showing the site my real name?!?! I'm ruined!!! Just playing. On the reals, I like the beat for sure. Got kind of a reggae/hip hop swag to it which I really like a lot. They tempo of the beat/vox starts out on point, but fades some as the track plays out. I know, it's tough to cut vocals like this isn't it. Real good effort my man. Hey Bro, thanks for all the kind words man!! :-) I definitely miss those days too!! Yea, the Female/Rapper combo sounds like a great idea... now the challenge is to find that female and Rapper to work on it!

I had so many tracks once, over 8gb of tracks on my laptop... but then I lost it all!! grrr. Now I back up and back up!! And when I ever get some time (yea right, with 2 kids, and a wife!! I definitely have some more and they are just as slick (I'll be uploading one that I've been working on for 2 weeks now, its called 'As The Journey Increases') and I agree with you about the hardness factor with slicing in and out the vocals to fit ... man, I had to go through it over and over and over again until it was just right but it was totaly worth it cause Im seriously loving this track. I put it on a CD and listened to it in my boys car and s**t, it f-ing slams. You need to throw up some more acapellas or send me some more cause I got some sick s**t in mind. J DOT ~ 2006

You should have just sent me the track so I could bust a rap called "In '79." LoL. Nice 70's funk beat for sure. The changes are dope and I dig the horns in the hook. If I could offer one piece of advice it would be to match up the rhythms a little better, but no biggy. Thanks for remixing my vox.

Thanks 4 the review "again' but 2 answer your question about "bubbly bass" I just disected the sample and cut and pasted what I needed. Thats kinda how i make all my cutts. 1/4 1/8 1/16 1/32 call it "poor mans editing" If it aint broke dont try 2 fix it mentality. Love ur stuff mannnn. Prety close 2 my fav....
