WOW FILA!! Kicking some wood indeed!! Brugh you put it down on this track like a back-woods-baptist-preacher, drinking a glass of koolaid on a sunny Mississippi day! LOL, great job to you and Randall882. The Slap Johnson harmonica loop edits were off tha chain! Enjoyed this most diffidently, fav'd no doubt.
Very nice work Fila, those drums all most sound live. I see you're working in a new genre and have pulled it off most nicely. Very fun and lively track and I enjoyed it very much. If the comp hasn't ended yet, then good luck to you. Peace,
(LOL)Johnny you have a great sense of humor, this was a great twist on Barry's track. Loved the circuit busy samples and your pleading to your beloved; and she was great in her role by the way. Very creative, enjoyed this one a great deal. Still working on mine and you guys aren't making it easy that's for sure. (lol)Great job, peace. D
Awe Man, you went somewhere great with this track Fila. In a word? Excellent! Love that opening, love the flute & trombone, just a great adaptation all together. Oh boy, I'm really gonna have to work harder now lol. D
Hey Bro thanks for taking the time to review and listen! Was trying to put this together with instruments that you don't hear as much. The ending was the day in full swing with few every day sounds you you might hear with the day in full swing. Thnaks for the listen and comments Fila
In response to your question, "Lita Ford" was one of the first female rockers during the 80's to gain notoriety for being a rock singer/guitarist. (there was however Joan Jett also). She did a song with "Ozzy Osbourne" among others. Just "google" her name and you'll find info on her. D
WOW KDL, this track is super tight, super chilled!! Where did you get the organ loops from? I really enjoyed this from start to finish. Had to dl & fav for sure, excellent track man!! D
Thanks for checking it out Dennel. The loops are Sony loops I believe, from one of their loop discs, on second thought I think they might be some loops that were on my mac... however I do know sony has a full disc of organ loops, looks pretty cool, I just haven't had the $$ to pick it up. lol. peace.
Umm.... how do you follow an act like this??? I mean really? As one member put it, it almost makes you not want to post anything. (lol) Great job slap, I'd say you'd reach the peak of spirituality on this track. And I'm sure we're all blown away, (lol) excellent. D :)
I agree, this would be a great r&b track (minus the repetitive rolling tom tom's). Love the mood you've set on the track; a little reminiscent of some "Roy Aryes", (I'm sure this was before your time lol). Great job, peace. D
Kudos to you Maia, you really did this track some justice. You have a beautiful voice; to me it's a little reminiscent of a "Lita Ford". (lol please don't hit me), excellent job. D
Well, hello there Dennel!:)
Thank you for your review!!
But i don't know what is "Lita Ford", can you show me what are you talking about?:) I really interesting:)
Whoa, this is truly a great track!! Like the rest I love the vocals. The guitar work is great and you did an excellent job of setting the mood for this track. Yeah, this would be great for radio play, great job fav'd no doubt. D
Very nice, love the melody & groove. I appreciate the fact that you knew when to end it; unlike some others who would've let it run on just for the sake of doing so. Even though they've run out of idea's. D
This is a great twist on a house track. Using a acoustic guitar sample is truly something different, but it works well. I like this a lot, great track dl & faved. D
Hey 88, Very nice track! Believe it or not, to me it sounds more like a "Reggae" track than a "Funk" track. Love all the elements and feel of the of the tune. Great job, faved without a doubt peace. D
much appreciated man, thnx very much for listening, reviewing and fav'n the track, means a lot... ur right it does have reggae vibez in there and like i say i had a lot of trouble deciding what i wanted 2 "market" this song as... thnx agen for the review :)
Hey Dvibe, this is a very nice track! Nice and soulful, like how you arranged it, and of course the slap man is sounding great as ever. At one point I thought you were going to break into a "Berry White" thang. (lol) Great job I enjoyed this a lot, thanks for the heads up peace. D
Wow! Great job, great song structure. I would consider this more to be like "power rock/pop". But since you added the "jazz" section at the end, I would've most likely classified it a fusion track. Nonetheless this is a great tune and you've done some great guitar work on this track. Who knows, I may even take a stab at it. D
As you can tell slap, I must really, really love this track. I can't get the melody out of my head. I forgot to mention the first time around that I loved your guitar & bass work also. drums and percussion is off the hook! Man, just a stellar track slap, peace. D
