These lyrics are hilarious. Nice work. Pace yourself my friend, life is usually longer than we expect. :D
Hope you post the vocal stem. OMG 80's outro break. :0
Thank you I appreciate you taking the time to listen and more time to comment. I'm hella glad you liked this track. Download it Share & Enjoy if you want. I got mental health issues so I've done plenty of drugs and seen some crazy shit. So I went with a few references from when I started using. Luckily I'm not cracked out an can still joke on myself. Our area has a bad meth problem so I made a track for that craziness too. The Meth Fest skit will have you laughing too. Hope You Check It Out.
I like everything except for the hihat sounds a little loud in the mix to me. I think its worth trying to sing these days even if you don't think you are good technically. You can always find some interesting fx chain or a style that suits your voice. The track is very pleasant and has good arrangement. Nice one :)
I didn't hear it at first but then I played this on a friends stereo and I definitely heard the o-hat louder than I intended. Almost makes me want to get a 2nd set of monitors to iron these issues out.
I hear Big Pun influence in it too. Hot track man. I've been smacking heads in here today because there is a lot of sexism, homophobia, racism and general shitty attitude creeping in to LM since I was last active. For example FBM running around insulting everybody, then bringing out the the worst in the responses. I think we could keep the site a little more civilized. Hate won't pay the bills. :D I'm going to drop some instrumentals here shortly. If you are looking, pm me and I'll float one to you ahead of drop if you like.
word i apreciate that man!!and ya i hear what your sayn about LM too.also FBM.we get stuff like that around hear from time to time.more so nowadays..i heard some racist stuff on hear the other day.wasnt cool at all..made me mad but i think i was more disapointed overall..
get at you soon man!!!
This is good desert party music. It's a well used vocal flip. Tribal vibe is there too. The mix is really well balanced and can be played loud without hot spots. Cowbell drop after breakdown gets my respect. It's the kind of track I can listen to over and over and over and over... :)
Thank you!
For your nice comment and that you took the time to analyze the song!
I just checked out your track 'Lockdown', really cool. I will leave a comment there too.
Smooth, introspective and psychedelic. Goes very well with the photos. Thanks for getting me to look up babak tafreshi. Those pictures are mindblowing! :D
This is an elegant arrangement. Just enough going on to kick it off. There is a little bit of master bus distortion in some parts, but it's cool. Who is the singer BTW?
As a first track, you have a very bright future in production. It's short but sweet. I agree with Efkan, you can keep folding and chopping and make it go bonkers. Maybe take time to shred some vocal samples while you're at it. Just in time for Halloween too! :D
Each and every one of your track descriptions is beyond shirt-worthy. ;)
I think you can apply to make music for a major video game developer with tracks like this.
It like the soundtrack to an insane satellite passing by a planet. One of a kind vibe.
Thank you very much, your comment is very funny. I am happy that you like my music, in this period I am doing a research on new sounds that do not follow the usual paths, this is because I want to give a feeling of strangeness and cosmic travel.
A cordial greeting
Marco
I'm way into these vocals and the stereo plocks/drops. It would be easy to shorten some instrumental passages and make a 2:40 radio mix IMO. The UADs are exciting high end. They do it nicely but you can treat vocals and get the same result I think. No need to wait. In my opinion mics and outboard preamps make a bigger difference than converters unless the converters are very low quality. Anyway, can't wait to hear the final tracking and mix. Great work!
One thing about us “producers” arrangement wise is
we have no control on the final arrangement (unless indy) of the said track
no matter the structure. That decision is made by the controlling
label and upper management. Our job is to make and maintain consistent
feeling or emotion. Now that being said i do understand where you are coming from and am not dismissing that!
Also when it comes to plugins or hardware. i like trying new things
of course i can make it sound great using the same plugins as i would normally use but the fact remains If i have the ability to try new techniques
either with or with out said effects thats what makes us different from the competition!
It's pretty late in the game to be leaning on homophobia in rap lyrics imo.
Still, your tracks are always solidly crafted, and I'm sure there will always be uneducated wannabees who think it's clever to "fag-bash". -so keep at it. :D
I like these lyrics. I don't need an education in hip hop, but I respect your random blanket insult to all readers and listeners. Got a Fat Joe flow starting at around 2:00. I like it.
Reminds me of Chemical Bros. If brickwalling is an issue(sounds like it might be), you can test by turning up the volume on your monitoring system. If it gets more fatiguing at higher or moderate volumes it might be too slammed. If clarity drops off at higher volumes it might be over-crushed. You can always sidechain to regain clarity if you want a slammed sound but lack some articulation or dynamics across volumes(NY bus compression)
Good cinematic feel to the production and arrangements. Lots of good things here.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, i appreciate it! Is sidechaining the same thing as parallel compression? If so, since I am in Garageband there isn't a parallel compression stock but I do have the I Heart NY plug in which I think mimics parallel compression. Anyway, I think my original posted track was indeed "slammed" and I have taken a few steps to lessen that effect, hopefully this version doesn't seem too loud or clipped etc. Thanks again for the feedback!!!
Teasers don't work on us. There is no e-store here. :P
I can't wait to hear the full mix. I like the diverse sounds you've used. I swear I heard an Elephant in the room. :)
loll..got me there...but this project of tracks with afroo-centric sounds,,and heavy bass..it's fun project ..so i am trying to build an audience here ,,savor thos african chants
Don't boost, cut. the mixing bus is a fixed size, and you have to fit everything in, boosting makes less space... Almost all good eq'ing is cutting. Make puzzle pieces.
If you want to know what to boost and cut, I recommend using a reference track(or two) and loading it into your project so you can A/B between their mix and yours and find a good balance for your sources.
It's a respectable mix though, nice job!
Addendum, for some reason my dog goes ape-shit when she hears your vocal chops... Always fun to watch a little dog march around looking for monsters :D
