Some kids would probably poke it with a stick before calling the cops :D
This is a very cool strange macabre song. absolutely unique as a piece of art. Great work. Makes me think of the film Stand by me.
Thanks Slimm! Poke with a stick, throw a rock at it, get an RV boat.... lol.
I was wondering if anyone would mention Stand By Me as it did come to mind as I was penning this one. It's a little dark I suppose but not meant to be, it just has that "off" sort of feel to it.
Really smooth and balanced mix. I use speakers like auratones for this kind of listening. Only balanced mixes work. If it sounds good on these it sounds good on everything.
One note. the hook sounds like the vocals are out of tune a little bit.
"All I Really want"
You could pitch-stretch them or autotune them there. the rest sounds great and in tune to me. :)
I love this. The guitars don't bother me. Maybe just clean up the low end a tiny bit on some guitar parts. But I don't think I would have noticed if if wasn't in the op.
Really nice composition and playing.
Thank you, Slimm, You don't know how glad I am to know that the guitar didn't bother you, because I love guitar like I love my right arm, and I mean that literally. I appreciate the Onesty. On some tracks I will get opinions before I Master or automate so thanks for the stop by. PEACE. T576 OPUT.
This is a great mix of styles. Very cool production. I'm not listening on a serious system but I think all of the vocals could be like 1 db louder bc they are fighting for space with the kicks on master bus some times. But honestly, a really great mix. Particularly with all of the diff sound sources. Skills :D
Very uplifting and hopeful.
Seems like this should be in a music catalog for instrumentals. I think you can monetize it that way easily. Seems very usable inside of video production for example.
Well done:)
yeah man... This is great. Haven't been on the site in a while so your development as an artist is really easy for me to hear. Your game is on point! :)
I like it a lot. Especially the bass work is great. The saxes sound a little too reverbed into the background at 1:50 when they are featured. You could reduce it or mix back in the dry sax over the verbs to add some punch when they are featured. other than that I can't offer any advice. It really sounds just fine :)
VirginiaSlimm, greetings. I appreciate that you've stopped by for a listen and your comments. On the next round, my thoughts on the sax's were to widen the stereo and back up on the wet. Thanks for letting me know that this listen was a good one. Stay posted for an update soon.

Brave warrior!
Well, my opinion for the vocal quality, better to release it than to sit on it. If it's not perfect in the mix, it's still cohesive and feels like a completed song. Sounds like a live recording with the reverbs so it works I think. ;)
Yeah I know, I've considered updating this with the previous master... it's not really up to my standards. Glad you enjoyed the sequencing. Thanks for listening!
Super nice. I like how a lot of your tracks have something like an intro or movements I suppose. Very cinematic like that, and you compose in that style very well. It is difficult for me to think of simple musical changes so I truly admire your bold yet accessible compositions. :)

Spoopy is my new favorite word. Thanks for that :D
I think it has potential for a halloween track. The mix balance could be a little tighter to allow for bus compression to bring up over-all levels.
It would be a shame not to hear it next to other halloween songs if the perceived volume is lower than the other tracks.
Running it through LANDR can help give you an idea of how it would "bloom" under mastering compression if you aren't sure.
Vocals and the composition are complimenting each other nicely.
Good work here!
Very spoopy stuff! :D
Tee hee! "Spoopy" was popular very shortly. Someone made a typo and it stuck for a while. I used it here because of filk, which is a genre that got it's name from a typo; spoopy filk is what I call filk that has to do with spoopy stuff. =^-^=
When you got to the technical advice, you lost me... thank goodness you didn't lose Micky. (LOL) He's going to recompress and I'll re-upload. While waiting for the new file I'm going to try to learn about blooming, LANDR, and bus compression.
The description makes me want to download and not leave a comment :D..
I failed.
Cool vibe, but needs variation or automation. Particularly with the bassline. When the bass is so prominent, it benefits from lots of little variation and changes to hold the listener.
Good potential here and could be a banger with the right vocal.
Nice work!
Ok great! The idea was just a to-do enough bars for people to feed off of and do a song. hehe, I'm thinking of sampling and an editor looping sections, cuz who gonna make a song from a 2 -4 bar loop?.. Lol... (Musician mind at play)I had the wrong idea! I got it now. And Yes, of course, variations are good and it's no problem to execute. However, on the bass line tip...Old school dub used a thematic bass line all the way thru, that's the idea here...I will make edits to the other stuff.. Appreciate the comments...More coming! Cheers!
This is a a nice juxtaposition of music and spoken word. Well produced, and respect for using the mpc.
I love to play the MPC and appreciate the work put in here.
Thanks for listening and for your comment - Ive been working on improving the production as I've got my head more around using the software, samples, vst instruments and effects
Its a very nice arrangement and everything has it's place in the mix. The listener's ear can travel around. Plenty of details to listen for. Snare is really perfect imo, unobtrusive but clean and clear. That's hard to do!
:)
This is great mixing and production.
I think the vocals could be a little more in front and centered maybe, but it bangs like this. ;)
The beat is really catchy, people will dance to this for sure!
you could maybe offer the host who is sampled equal percentages and offer to host it.
There is nothing for either party to lose and a track like this can be viral very fast if the wind is right and the sun hits the meatnut at the right angle.
