OK so I recorded a jam track for you as an example. I am of course aware that the style is way different but the mixing concepts are the same.
Mixed as follows:
First I rolled the treble off the chords and the Bass off the lead.
Then panned slightly left and right.
I used 2 send effects; Delay and Reverb, with opposite amounts on each track. A lot of reverb on the chords and a little delay; a lot of Delay on the lead and a little reverb.
Try this trick with whatever send effects you use.
Also I pumped up the sends in the send effects, sending reverb to delay and vice versa, then panned the effects pretty hard left and right. In retrospect I should have panned them in the opposite direction (i.e.; so the effect with the most chords send was opposite to the side the chords were panned. I have gone back and done that in the recording software and it's better. You get the idea though right?)
I might try recording some Bass and Drums to go with this then chop the tracks up and see what I can come up with. Recently bought a set of V-Drums.
Anyway here it is; https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/167680
Oh and by EQ I mean subtractive, not boosting. That will only add to your problems. Carve out some space for each voice/instrument across the range of frequencies. Take the treble out of the Bass and the Bass out of the guitars etc.
OK Main observation is that everything is fighting for the same sonic real estate. And I mean Everything. Vocals, guitar, Bass and can hardly hear the drums. My suggestion would be to use some EQ on each part. Decide where to put each in the EQ range ( and possibly stereo field)

First off what you have so far sounds great. Secondly there is no harm in putting one tune aside for a while and starting another, or revisiting a previous one for that matter.
Tell to one thing though, I am 60 years old and have been playing music off and on for 50 of those and I just made a major mistake in what I was hearing.
I studied music full time for 3 years 10 years ago and my theory teacher, who was 10 years older than me, reasoned he would convert to buddism if they would guarantee him a couple more lives cause there was no way he could learn all there is to know in just one.
I really know nothing about current style as in house, dub etc but have a passion for music and helping those I can.
I think the best anyone can do for you is encourage you to keep at it.
Thanks! encouraging words from someone that clearly knows more than me is what motivates me to keep going!
In my naivety I assumed learning to use FL Studio is all that was required to make decent music.... HA!!Its becoming more and more apparent that there really is no cheat sheet when it comes to music.
Stevejaz, it's comments like this that make me want to do more. Thank you for taking the time to listen. Here is a link for the video that helps to better explain the vocals. http://youtu.be/3gZcUWJwJyk
I think this is one of the best tunes and songs I have heard on this site. A fantastic job. It is perfect as it stands or you could take it anywhere you wanted.
Now excuse me while I go listen to your other tracks.
