Regarding your conversation with F2F, Ive had my Focusrite 2i2 since 2018, I think, and its been really helpful over the years. I later added a Yamaha F7-USB mixer and routed it through the interface for whatever reason. I wasnt really happy with the results, thinking maybe the Scarlett wasnt all that after all, so I decided to get myself a Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD after watching a tutorial online, thinking it would somehow boost my vocals. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Maybe I just didnt set it up properly.

Anyway, I ran back to my old Scarlett, dusted it off, and realised that sometimes all I really need to do is appreciate the piece and make do with what Ive got. Haha

BTW, I noticed youre a Pac fan just like me, but trust me, this beat would sound even better with some Biggie flow on it too... especially on an extended version. Man, this piece is dope, D-O-P-E! I Cant lie!

Im certainly no expert when it comes to music production, but from a listeners perspective, I honestly think your work has been sounding great. Were all learning and improving as we go, and sometimes the things we create early on can have a certain magic that even our more polished work later on doesnt quite capture.

At the end of the day, though, music is art. People are going to judge it by how it makes them feel, rather than by how technically perfect we think it is or how much time and effort we put into making it.

Ive actually experienced this myself so many times. Some of the tracks Ive spent the least amount of time on end up getting far more plays than the ones Ive poured my heart, time and energy into. haha And the funny thing is, some of those tracks I consider poorly produced are the very ones I dont even enjoy listening to myself, yet somehow they seem to connect with people more.

I guess thats the crazy thing about art. You can spend weeks trying to make something perfect, while something you casually put together ends up resonating with people in ways you never expected. Thats why I think we just have to keep creating, keep learning and not be too hard on ourselves. What sounds imperfect to us might be exactly what someone else loves about it.

The lies are surely everywhere, especially when you start peeling back the layers of corporate greed and the way it quietly creeps into our lives every day. You have captured that theme really well without making the song feel too heavy handed. The message sits beneath the surface, yet it still makes you stop and think. There is something rather clever about the way you have presented it.

And those vocals. You always know how to find your way around such sweet melodies. That subtle whisper really gets me. It adds this sneaky, almost deceptive quality that fits the subject perfectly. The beat is simple yet rich, crisp and engaging, giving the vocals plenty of room to breathe while keeping everything moving. Really clever piece, Kay.

I remember when AutoCAD was introduced, and my older cousin, who is also an architect and was really good at hand sketching, didnt like the idea of architects now using computers and software to do their drawings. I laughed at him back then and wondered why he didnt want to take the leap.

But with the introduction of AI music production, Im beginning to feel old and a bit old-school myself, probably the same way my cousin felt back then, haha. I think theres something deeply human about spending your entire life learning how to become good at something, only to watch technology suddenly make it possible with the click of a button. In a strange way, it can feel a little dehumanising. But hey, who can stand against a moving train or a boulder rolling down a mountain, eh?

Anyway, for now, Ill stick to what I know and, one day, Ill definitely explore how these AI music tools can help enhance and smoothen my own work. Maybe one day the rules will even force all artists to use AI or simply get left behind. NWO... who knows? And I cant help wondering whats going to happen to all those studio monitors, audio interfaces, rack gear, microphones and all the other hardware. And, perhaps more importantly, what happens to the people who make a living designing, manufacturing and selling all this equipment?

I honestly think this is one of the most beautiful pieces Ive ever heard featuring Paperkup. You absolutely nailed the vibe and found the perfect tune for this track. Everything just fits so naturally, and the whole thing sounds amazing! Im really impressed with how beautifully it all came together. But hey, why cant we download this one? Come on, mate, dont keep us waiting; we need this in our playlists!

Anthony, the rap and beat blend together so smoothly on this one. The beat itself has such a nice groove and really gives the track a strong foundation without overpowering the vocals. I especially love how the rhythm carries the rap so naturally, then opens up nicely when the R&B singing comes in. That contrast between the rap delivery and the melodic vocals works really well.

And that chorus is definitely one of my favourite parts; it gives the whole track another level of lift and makes the song feel really cohesive. The transitions between the rap and the R&B sections are also beautifully handled; nothing feels forced or out of place. Everything seems to roll together naturally, with the beat tying all the different elements together. Really smooth production and a great vibe overall, brother!

Another thing I find even more interesting, and honestly quite intriguing, is something Ive noticed about your waveforms. They dont look nearly as violent or pushed as ours do, haha. Ours sometimes look like theyre fighting for their lives on the screen! Yet, despite how much more controlled and relaxed your waveforms appear, the actual sound coming through is still incredibly powerful, full, and impactful. Thats the part that really caught my attention. Its a great reminder that a waveform doesnt necessarily have to look huge or aggressive for the music to hit hard.
Theres something really impressive about the way youre able to get so much presence, energy, punch, and fullness out of the mix while still keeping everything looking so controlled. The music hits with authority, but it doesnt feel unnecessarily crushed or overworked. That balance is fascinating to me.
Im genuinely intrigued by your approach. Theres clearly a lot happening behind the scenes in the way you build and shape your sound, and somehow you make the end result feel both powerful and effortless. Really impressive work, brother.
