On a black keyboard in the dark is a little annoying. Especially when you've got the key sequence memorized and go to type in say a i and instead keep hittin the o key. It's very, very GRRR, haha.
So, as for Trance being your current niche. I'm thinkin that you could very easily transition into Rave, Ambient, or Euro Pop. Depending on which way you'd like to approach it. Your skills with synth placement lead me to also recommend that you go n get an Effects pedal. They've got some nice one's for both the Guitar and Bass out there. One brand in particular I've been thinkin about gettin. It's one for Bass by Line-6 and is about $400.
As for the 23 edits thing, I know whatcha mean about trying to get something to come out the way you want it. And with digital synth generator mapping boards it can be a real pain in the A** sometimes. Course, once I convert something to .wav I never delete it. Because ya never know when it might become useful again.
As for the track and track name, an interesting title, indeed. Dunno where the connection is because this song reminds me of the way rain drops accumulate on the windshield of a parked car with street lights illuminating a wavy haze onto a grey and dismal backdrop of rolling clouds. There's also a suspension bridge dwarfing a river or bay inlet below somewhere in there too. Lates!
Go n check out Night Rave by BT off of his score to The Fast And The Furious. Dunno why I'm recommending that, but I def think that you'd dig that song.
I like the way this track has very jugglish bass going on. Course right as I wrote that there was a synth fill in, haha. I'm thinkin the basic nature of the drums is nice, but was also thinkin that some additional echo put on the snare or kick would be hella cool. The synth on this is almost Techno/Rave. Rawk on holmes!
The drumlines for other stuff to kick in. Ok, got some synths now and I'm tryin to figure out what movie the Jim Carey sample is from... Hmm, wait, is it from Dumb'n'Dumber? Haha, yeah, I think that's it.
"Are you gonna eat that?"
"Yeah, well no, yeah, I uh, I crossed my mind.
Seabass's character spits up a Loogie on burger.
Que audio sample used in song.
Didn't ever hear the song you made mention of in the desc, but am I right in guessing it's by Scooter? It kinda has their style of sound to it.
Good stuff for yer first go man. If you were to redo this I'm thinkin it could use more synths. Later on!
Mr.mister, haha. So which Kraftwerk track does this remind you of? So far I'm thinkin of their song, Numbers. Mixed with elements of Tour de France in the higher Synth elements.
There are retro elements of this, but I'm thinkin their mark is about 5-7 years above the mid 80's as others have mentioned. Kinda like in the era of Technotronic and the likes, though not similar in style. I guess it's just the way the sound of the fonts that were used hit me. Like if it were from one keyboard or sequencer board they would scream 1991/2 instead of 1985, shrugs. Nice one mate. Lates!
This is classic trance dude!! Get this one to anjuna beats!!! The production on it is perfect! And the flowing synths just get my hairs on my neck fizzin!!! Nice1
thanks for the review. i have been working on it off and on. i did about 23 edits before i was happy with this one. just wanted to make sure it was right
But i was listening to it again and started thinking I bet if u use the 3xosc nasty preset with some effects you would get a sweet bass line out of it i use it alot you can even almost do benny benassi stuff from it.
Im trying to get in to all of them to review you got so many good ones. its like a couple of CDs so far.I really like that pad or synth stringy thing you got in this one and the melody of coourse and the vocal sounds like some thing done in fl studio.
dude man this track kicks a$$, i love those percussive scatchy hats combined with the regular garage hats, the bass blows me away with chord prog and all. hope you find that special someone xD jk jk
