This is a very good song! Sound like its a classic from back in the 80's like others already stated. You guys did an amazing job and wish I could hear more songs like this on the loop. Thanks for sharing this, take care!
Cool song. It reminds me of an 80's rock ballad. Something like the Scorpions would put out. The vocals sound good. My only problem with the song is it sounds linear. Since there is no intro, the only time I really noticed a change was the break going into the guitar solo (which sounded great btw!)
And, in my opinion, this song really needs the drums to fill it out. A roll here and a buildup there would be huge to making this song awesome.
But these are just the way I hear things. I could be way off base as to what you were going after. Wouldn't be the first time :)
I just did the guitar My03 / My05 did all the arranging and composition stuff. I just added the Rhythm guitars and the lead. I really do not like to commenting on other peoples writing, he just reached out to me and asked if I would do some kick butt guitars for it. My honest opinion the drums sound good but could be better. Thanks for the positive feedback on my guitar playing and commenting in general.
I will suggest, you work on the frequencies because in the beginning of the track I could hear some very high frequencies that hurt my ears. Research frequency sweeping and also cut the lower frequencies so the bass/kick does not sound muddy.
The clap is probably to high on the mixer, so it gets the pumping effect. I will suggest, you put a compressor on the clap to boost it, and then you can lower the clap level on the mixer, because it will sound louder.
I'm not a fan of pop music really so i'm stepping out of my comfort zone a little here.
Everything sounds well mixed and on point. You used the vocal well & i like it when the guitar solo comes in at the middle of the track. It adds another layer of depth.
This was a pleasant tune to listen to.

that vocal is really good...but then, so is everything else...has a really nice bluesy vibe...great hob on this one...enjoyed the listen...fav for sure....Ed
Great song, James. I remember the night I was working on it and it was very late and I had a few glasses of wine and I emailed you and said, "I love this f%$ng; song, dude!"

Awesome track haha, Making these james bond style tracks is really nice and taking samples from the movies ofcourse. Thanks for sharing this with us ;)
johnnyproducing Thanks for the nice compliments. Please note the only sample taking from the movie was the voices and one orch hit. Everything else was me in Piano, Bass, Guitar, etc and Scott on the drums.
Hey! I like this track.
It sounds very well... but I think the voices needs a little of edit (my opinion only)
Really sounds like James Bond xD
Congrats!!
Hi Soleixlune, Thanks for your coments. Can you please explain what you mean by Vocals could use some editing? I would apprciate more info. Happy Holidays..
Super bit of funky listening over my way midiman...It really is well done and kudos to you of the playing and the nice even production....much enjoyed...Ed
Tumbleweed it is so great to hear nice compliments from you. I do appropriate everything since I know when it comes from someone who plays an instrument or instruments it really is from the heart. Peace..
Wow! This is really perfect!
Let me start with the drums: Scott is the man! Superb.
Then the guitar: funky with a touch of rock. Again: superb!
The vocal track: good, very good.
And let's not forget the bass: well balanced, funky at the right point, without exaggerating. Loved.
Thanks for sharing this gem with us!
Ciao, Domenico
PS: you mentioned you played everything but drums, well I have to say you have a very high pitched voice for being a MrMidiMan ;-)
Wrwolf14 thanks for noticing I am a man, and could not have ever gotten that vocal out of me to save my life. :-)
Yes I did play everything except the drums that is me on a Squire jazz bass I picked up recently. I am kind of digging playing bass. I have not played Bass much since my main instrument is guitar.
Coming from a bass player it is nice to hear it did it justice.
I really do appreciate your positive comments on this one and I am so glad you and the others enjoyed listing to it.
