Thanks for the nice compliments. I try very hard to make it all happen. Sometimes it happens sometimes it does not.
I am glad you enjoyed it and thanks for listing and commenting.
Very cool track...like those guitars...everything...how you played, the tone and the mix (guitar mix)...my humble opinion is that the hihat is a bit noisy and the snare is a bit back...it could be my taste only...:-)
Love the singer's melodies...very catchy, bit like in top chart hits...
Overall it's a stunning track...congrats!
Thanks for your kind compliments and helpful feedback. I agree I think the hithat has to much top end. I think that is what is causing the noisiness in there. I think if they were cut down the snare would fit better.
Scott did a stereo track with the drums so it was hard to adjust the hi hats with out cutting to much of the other stuff. I will see if he can redo the drums on separate tracks so I can remaster it.
Shame on me for having not listened to this before.
This is a wonderful song!
I really like the "scratch-like" build up on the keys (1:04 we hear it for the first time).
Nice work on the bass, simple but very effective.
Piano is outstanding... and of course the guitar is my favorite here.
You have a killer sound (I know...I have already told you several times...but I really like it)
Loved it...it's a pity that we cannot download it: you need to make an album of your music soon.
Ciao, Domenico
Hahaha, not sure how I missed this gem, but I guess coming to the party a bit later isn't a bad thing, as long as I discovered it! Great slide work, and the harp is right on the money. This is one of those outstanding Southern rock songs, with all the chugs and pauses in just the right places. You have mad skills James, and this one illustrates just how talented you are. Well done!!! I hope all is well.
Shortbussmusic, Thanks for the kind compliments on this song. Sorry for the late reply I did not see you had commented on my track. You are dead on with Southern rock songs. Man those were the days Skynyrd, Molly hatchet, The Outlaws man and many, many more. It was a blast doing this track.
I really enjoyed trying my hand at some slide guitar.
I hope all is well with you and your family these days and if you are up to a collaboration hit me up with and email.
It is always a pleasure working with you.
Bass and voco start sets it nicely, then Sannas 'pellas kick in, combined with the drums and guitar hats off to you and scott, funky keys and that bassline...you nailed it. loved it and faved, thanks.
Best wishes,
Mark
lots of color in your work. and very sophisticated mixing for sure. enjoy a lot and learn a lot. very impressed that you are playing all of this (as opposed to programming). great work. big congrats!
Wow so much positive feed back on this one. It just make me smile. Midisparks thanks again for the positive feedback and the recognition. Hope your Holidays are good.
Thanks Orlando51. I really enjoyed making this one also.
I really am so glad so many people are enjoying my music and
making there life's a little brighter.
Hope your Holidays are good and safe.
a prof track midiman ,as I expected before playing ..
naturally , whenever your music gets a rock vibe your tallents are more sensible & shown ..
& as usual , Scott's drum is the best drum here ...
no matter who is more famous ...to be fair , instrumental version of track was better than S.Hartfield's short & repeatetive lyrix .
thnx for sharing James & Scott .
James, stellar work as usual on this one. It is never easy to work around a pella, but this one is so seamless that if I didn't know better, I would have thought it was recorded in a studio. Scott's drum work is exceptional (as usual) and your instrumental work is on par with his work.
Great mix and master as well. Nothing to critique on this. Outstanding effort gentlemen (and lady). Added to favorites!! Love that synth (is that hooked up to your guitar). I hope all is well.
Bear as always it's great to hear a nice compliment from a great musician such as yourself.
I have to tell you the truth, I have been playing piano and synth via the keyboard and trying to become a master like you are on keyboard. To me using loops and midi files that are not mine is cheating. I guess I pulled it off.
I hope all is well with you and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.
Let's hook up after the holidays and do a collaboration.
Hi Midiman!
What a crazy track!! And sounding really good - a mixture of a lot of things. The drums are to die for and I loved that piano and also the very very cool bass line.
A truly stunning piece.
I'm hearing that you love what you do.
A lot of passion gone in to this track.
Get a sense of fusion here and it sounds fantastic , i especially like the little break it take's before the acapella kicks in . Really well done and a pleasure to listen to
Thanks for stopping by and leaving the positive feedback. I am glad you enjoyed it. Scottb played the drums for me. I played all the other instruments.
Thought I better get over here and give a listem to some of your songs. I like this song here in particular, but I don't sing so I can't help you out with that.
All the parts are put together very well and it is pleasing to hear. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks for your kind remarks. I wish someone one looperman would help on the vocals that would just complete this song. I was listing to this song when I was young and it was great doing the music to it. Thanks again for stopping by and listening..
This is very, very good. At the beginning I thought it's never gonna start :-), cause of the breaks but than it was building to a fantastic electro pop/rock song...I specially like the bass tone...
I don't remember if I've ever commented something under country category, but in case this is really the first time, then I picked right time to do it, cause this track has some genuine quality.:)
Orlando51 I do not know if this is true country I would say it leans more toward the Southern Rock.
Thanks for stopping by and listing and commenting on it. I am glad you enjoyed it.
Hey James....y`all gotta sing with a southern twang if its going to be country HaHa...just kidding...I keep threating to learn to play slide better (mainly for blues)but every time I try I make these gawd aweful noises...guess I`ll have to raise the strings on one of my guitars further above the frets...anyway...nice rock vibe to this one...a well composed, played & delivered mix...enjoyed the listen up my way this Saturday.....Ed
Hi Ed, Yep he was missing the southern drawl on this one. Hehe. It helps to have a higher strings for the slide. I was lucky I have not played slide guitar in about 10 years but though I would give it a try again since I wanted something different on this.
Also Thanks for your nice compliments on my Musical ability. I think I am ok on things, I am glad like you when another musician compliments my ability.
We should do a collaboration when I get my main axe back from a fret job
Nice track, James. Everything meshes really well. Mix is nice and clear and not too much compression. Like the harp. Is it a softsynths or live? Good job!
It's a hit, midiman! Like a big song on the radio. outstanding professional level stuff (IMHO). Your mix is rich, the drums and the synths all create a beautiful texture for her voice. love when the solo guitar entrance towards the end. big fav.
thanks midisparks I appreciate your comments.. I am quite confused now some say it is a good mix some say it has some timing issues. Might I ask what kind of speakers did you listen to it on.
