Each melodic change flows smoothly into another. I'm hearing a bit of jungle, electronic, and as Patricia stated, sound effects. Each intricate piece you add brings a bit more flair to this. I like how you brought the hard hitting drums back at 1:56. That whole section (1:36 thru 2:28) is the sweet spot for me.
I believe you may be using a Koto sounding vsx in that section? Which is a nice addition to this composition. This is a very good piece of music.
Thank you so much! Not using the Koto, but just some other things. I can't say because I'm not sure exactly what sound you mean. Thank you for the detailed listen, and the great compliments.
I've listened to this a few times. Love the sound effects. I swear I can hear this playing on the movie "Leverage". Haha those guys were always up to something clever and I can see them breaking in and stealing something back. Nice clean sound. Very nice!!
I sure wish I knew how to bellydance! Very light and refreshing, not too much, not too little. Just enough energy to work off lunch. Haha. Nice job. :-)
This is quite an eclectic mix Royal. Some very unique and interesting use of instruments against the tribal drums. Superb production all the way round. The Erhu and Gu Zheng sections floored me bro. Very cool. I totally dig it ! BUT...this track is simply no good without the bellydance video !!!!!(ha ha)
Absolutely loved the beginning, great intro! The flute after 1:00 was a nice addition, old timey, a bit different from the modern feel of the track.
I dig percussion so this automatically piques my interest. The didgeridoo at the end was not expected. The asian strings worked well with this drum beat too, all the strings did actually. Interesting track, certainly not a pop track or something radio friendly but that stuff appeals to people who want to hear something different and off the beaten track, which i like, cool!
That drop at 6:36!
Where do I start? Four minutes in you had every working like a well oiled machine. Loved all the flourishes with the added instrucments and choral vox. It took off in another direction, which I loved. After 5:28 there was an SOS of funkiness, as you even let the drum get some.
Masterful job. Excellent mixing. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Dope track Royal. I know this one musta took awhile to mix with all those elements. The Dubstep groove really thumps and I dig the change ups and transitions to keep the progression fresh. I feel like I'm in that club scene in Tron. Great job man !
Cool! Thanks. Yeah, I edited the heck out of the pieces for the climax at the end. It was fun. I'd like to try something like it again but with different sounds. I chopped up the objects on the grid and put them together like a puzzle.
Certainly no shortage of sounds to keep me interested all the way through. I'm not much on long songs unless they really hold their own all the way through. Mix was solid and the composition had dynamics and texture like you promised.
I felt like i was part of a video game, a pinball sorta, ha!
