Gill really got it locked down. Those chord progressions are absolutely beautiful, and the drums sit perfectly in the pocket.

"So let it rain, with hope of sunshine... Let it rain, this day is yours and mine!" What a memorable line. It carries so much hope and emotion, and it stayed with me long after the song ended.

And hey, PaperKup, hearing your properly mixed voice was a pleasant surprise, bro. I had no idea you could sing this well. Your vocals blend naturally with the music, adding those subtle background harmonies that support the lead without competing with it. They fit the vibe of the song perfectly. It's also encouraging to see that we're all still teachable and willing to step outside our comfort zones and explore new territory. That's how we continue to grow as musicians and artists.

Big props to the producer as well. The mix is outstanding: clean, crisp, well-balanced, and polished. Every instrument has its own space in the mix, yet everything comes together seamlessly. Fantastic work all around, brothers. This is definitely one I'll be coming back to.

Salute! Gill did well with a few attempts, as did I. Man your compliments really surprised us. This is definitely new territory for us and we are willing to make a go of it. It's kinda like we don't know where we going, but we sure will get there. Like a journey or adventure. Also you are right about the producer and the mix, extremely talented and eager to iron out any issues. I would say it does cost a bit to do, but man at this point, I don't care too much. It's really fun and exciting. If we never get rewarded for the efforts, well, maybe next time or whatever. Just like doing music.

Turn on the radio
Nothing to lose, nothing to show

Sweating buckets on your leather seat Those are great lyrics

Has a late 60s early 70s Feeling, original sound, not heard anything like this here on LM. I am not a producer so I think perhaps Mudhoen describes that production side of things much better than I could

Hi Kayos2, thanks. It just kinda appeared as it goes sometimes, very fun and addictive to do. Yes, mudhoen explained it very well! Thanks for the listen!

Fun track to listen to eventhough it could use some improvements. How many vocal tracks does this have? At the 2 min mark suddenly there are two seperate vocal tracks. Maybe use more(from the get go) and lower the octave on one or slichtly pitch up the other. This creates a more interesting harmony. I like the color of the vocals but in the first 69 seconds there are some small misses. After that they sound very nice. A retake would make the track sound better. The instrumentals sound very good but I miss a small break somewhere after 60-70% of the track. This to give the ears a small rest and building up to the finale of the song. Mix is good and teh idea is great. Some small tweaks will definetly give this track the improvement it deserves.

Hi mudhoen, thanks very much for your comment, I agree with you on your points. Thanks for the tips. Mixing was at a studio, we still going and hopefully laying some drum work in there. We can definately work with what you put down here. It really helps to have more ears on it. Your input is most welcomed. It will help before the next time we go there.

Glad you like it, though we were looking for some feedback. It doesn't appear to me that you have played the track even? - Maybe a glitch?

Bro thankyou for this work, it fills me with pride that I get chances with other artist work, its great for community cohesion too, i really like your music as I've always told you, your natural sounds are always standout, and I do love the dropping coins, we will indeed work together, i'm sure about that :-)

Hi dimestop, thanks. I appreciate how you did what you did! I also liked your stuff, still do, well... since I became a member. Those are not coins dropping btw, they empty cases... but yeah, it doesn't matter too much! You have a talent and I definitely want to do some more! Thanks!

The whole work sounds soooo cinematic and well done, I really like lyrics cuz they evoke something inside of myself. That's why I want to have this acapella too, maybe I'll use it someday, is it possible?

Hi Asociale, glad you found it cinematic and done well. I can't speak for dimestop, I'll ask and if so probably a yes from my side.

Hey buddy, this blew past my expectations. I'm honestly jealous that I didn't get the chance to mix it, but then again, if I had, it probably wouldn't sound this good. You absolutely nailed it. Great work!

Hey, yeah understood. I don't actually know about that. Maybe it has helped with these new speakers to do some partial mixing. Thanks, I believe we're getting somewhere. Just don't ask where, because I can't tell! Thanks for the compliment as well... Just got to keep learning

Sorry for my mistake, never trust translations, I meant the spoken word, the calm female voice speaking in a space like realm, I know I heard something alike before and I love it, but my memory... ;)

Hi The FrenZ, thanks for the clarification. My memory is also not the greatest. I take notes most of the time haha, then forget where I've put them!

Hi Cyberflares, thanks. To be honest the beat I had to move around quite a lot as it was a sample with the DAW, everything after sort of went in place. Thanks for listening!

bro i love this cinematic work truly rewarding your use of natural sounds is amazing that takes a lot of skill and focus, to paint a picture with music is an art, you got a bit of Picasso in you bruv, this was a most enjoyable listen
PaperKup
PaperKup replied 7th Jun 2026 - 3 months ago
Hi dimestop, hope your pain is getting lighter... I look forward to your comments really. You have a great talent for writing and expressing your words yourself. I must admit I enjoyed this collaboration with Gill. It all seemed to mesh well. Even the spoken word I had written. Thanks about the Picasso comparison, that's a huge compliment and we will be working on more, with a bit more variations hopefully. Thanks again

I was very pleasantly surprised.
I really enjoyed the narrative combined with the singing.
The sound effects during the song add a dramatic touch.
Good job.

You're usually able to create incredible cinematic atmospheres with just your sounds.

But this is on another level! Hearing what you usually do combined with a narrative like this results in an incredible experience.
Of course, Richard's sound design is the icing on the cake.
The only thing I didn't understand was that silence at the end, about 10 seconds, followed by a final line.
I've downloaded it to enjoy it at my leisure.
Fantastic work.
Best regards, Juan Carlos
